- OMG what a day I still cannot believe what happened. kingfish after kingie was the go, only to be followed by bonito which where ruthless on lures and bait on the surface. summer is defo in full swing now and we are taking full advantage.
Hi. We are a local volunteer group formed in the summer of 2023-24 to help the heritage listed Gymea Bay Baths and surrounds ( including the car park) to remain as rubbish free as possible. Unfortunately the amount of rubbish and litter such as plastic bait packages, drink bottles, discarded fishing lines and hooks has dramatically increased in the past two years. We have developed a great relationship with fishermen down there but simply ask that any visitor to the baths please take all rubbish with them and / or use the bins provided. Please encourage the person next to you do the same. By doing so the local wildlife will be protected and the beautiful environment will be preserved and kept tidy for other people to enjoy. Thank you!

Man love all the content you produce, Im from Fnq and I did my research and found this spot you got here mate, wasn't hard at all, but all i can say is I hope its stays the way it is and doesn't get over crowded. If you could Control the way you video the area and just the fishing hopefully it will remain hidden xD tight lines bro

I went there sometimes, only caught the small tailor, could you tell what tide height was it? Thanks
Early morning is the best don't worry about tides. At this spot the fish are active early morning

Hey mate, just cause it's morning doesn't mean fish..... what you want to look for is a tide change and wait for a high to low. 2hrs either side of this event ussuaally brings in feeding fish.

@@Michaellikesphotography thanks for the support from SA, hope all is well during these times. I haven't been to Adelaide before so not much specific advice for kingfish. Bait fish and warmer water will bring them into shallower water though aswell as structure such as jettys like this. If allowed your salmon trout make good livies too.
It's rare to catch anything worth keeping down at the Baths these days if you can even cast a line in with the amount of people going here.
This spot used to be so good now the wharf is trashed and broken now😢😢😢

Man, Gymea is such a good spot, but the stupid net gets me snagged all the time, also every time I go to Gymea the kingfish are never there, could I have some tips?
