This girl is so funny and real.
Really like the authenticity.
Thank you :)

Brilliant Molly great vid . Also you might be interested in gland nuts to put the cables through the side of your van rather than the window .
That’s a great idea!! So far my plan has been silicone caulk to seal the hole I thread the wires through
The gland nuts have a rubber seal in them I use them for any cables there great .
Great learning experience. Sounds like you have it figured out now, but just FYI, an experienced RV traveler has a UT channel called Cheap RV Living. He's done comparison videos of different brands of power systems. They may be a little dated by now. This channel has a wealth of other info about living on the road.
I’ll have to check it out!
definitely entertaining, I've left things on my roof before, it's amazing what will stay in place, had a lol at the we're going to park under a street light, I wonder if it would put out enough of the right kind of light to gain any power, so crazy it just might work
I actually may try it later lol , I’m still curious
@@VanOnTheMoon good stuff lol, share your findings
I absolutely love your locs your vibe and your energy !!
Thank you so much!!
@@VanOnTheMoon You’re super welcome 🤗 !!
connector wormhole
I think you need more then one panel to have it pull in more energy from the sun to get the fridge to work properly. But, it's better then nothing.
Yea I’ve got four more I’ve been meaning to put up there
The strap probably shouldn’t be over the panel…
It was easy to just plug in the right wires and the MC4 to Ecoflow converter cable. :)
I did have to buy the MC4 crimping tool to change out the solar panel wires too.
Yea the strap was gonna be temporary, but then I decided to get all new panels, so I didn’t wanna fully install the current one
@@VanOnTheMoon yeah, shadows like branches are supposed to really impact panel output .
Hopefully someone is listening out there and you get your battery and converter and stuff.Surprised the broom stayed on the roof.
Right, I have no idea how it stayed so well!
10m views soon
I hope so!!
As a control system trouble shooter I can tell you I feel your pain, and everything you experienced is about normal. Also there was an ad in the middle of your video! Btw the Uke intro was great :)
Yeah we could have used a control system shooter for this project lol. Also cool , good to know the ads are working ! I’ll finally be getting some income from my webshow now 🤘🏼

first thing - solar panels must not be cover by anything, otherwise they have 1/4 efficiency. second - you can close the cables to the doors, so you can use them as normal door and have window closed. And third one - flexible solar panes aren't as good as rigid ones. be careful how do you put it on the roof because of cooling and different thermo properties of panels and roof to avoid damage the panels. over all your videos are funny :D it looks like you are trying to discover the wheel :)
I’m thinking I’ll use silicone adhesive to stick the 4 new ones to my pop top! I went with the flexible ones since they are more lightweight and will allow me to pop my tent up without so much bulky weight up there
Good to see you still have your stinky shoes tied to the roof 😂
Those stinky things will be up there for the rest of eternity 😂
Lucky you have a Jackery Molly. I’ve been wanting to buy one 2-yrs ago. The model I need is expensive, $1000+. And I have not played with solar panels. Yup they are complicated, and expensive. I’m gonna try the portable folding style panels first and see. BTW, love the tye dyed shirt 😊 I’m a dead fan (GD) 😊So, it seem like your panels are working but not reliable? Or require lots of sun?
Yeah honestly the cost is what kept me from getting a jackery sooner! I scored this one for $750 on Facebook market luckily
Mc4 x 7mm barrel connector, I have a 100w panel on my roof that keeps my jackery full..
Do you run a mini fridge with it?
@@VanOnTheMoon I do, I have an ARB elements fridge, the jackery is my dedicated power source for the fridge, and I use a bluetti for other items, every morning the jackery is between 40-60% but it's always fully charged by the end of the day
WOW, so maybe there is hope for the jackery once I have my new panels up top
@VanOnTheMoon Extension cable you'll need 👇

U got jacked J/k ❤
I got even more jacked now! The usb ports don’t work anymore outta nowhere :/
Gotta love some Banana Pancakes ✌🤙🤙
Heck yeaaa
At the 5 minute mark I got my first ad pop in Molly's channel (yes, I watched the whole thing). Wouldn't you know it, it was a ad for Jackery. Now I have to commit myself to watching the rest of the video (no fast forward, too see the frequency of ads). I was once an uninformed consumer, now I am not.
Wow thats cool there was an actual jackery ad on the video! Thanks for telling me what kind popped up, I’ve been super curious
Yeah unfortunately trying to use older electronics usually doesn’t work out great. It’s too bad, but in this case newer is better. It’s only money!
Luckily I’ve got 4 fresh renogy panels sitting in the garage ready to get slapped up there!
You should give ukulele lessons' hehe
I have an ukulele channel!! There aren’t tutorials on it yet, but I’ve been thinking about it :)
Please tell me I missed something and you didn’t just zip tie solars panels to your vehicles roof!!!
LOL ratchet strap
why is your machete so small ?
Lmao I thought it was pretty average size
@@VanOnTheMoon it's tiny
it all makes sense now, you're not actually building the van to go on a long trip,, lol. because it couldn't handle a few nights of you camping in your local town lmfao
Long trip is the goal!! So far it’s only good for on the island, but it’s come a long way from when it was not able to function at all lol
