These guys aren't bowing to each other in any sense that they're showing respect to each other or the ref.. They're nodding their heads acknowledging that they understand what the ref said so if the ref does have to disqualify either participant, they were first given warnings and the information on how to avoid disqualification. Its simple acknowledgement, not respect or fear.

I believe that Keith Hughes’ performance refereeing Andre Berto vs. Luis Collazo was one of the best out there. I wish more referees did justice to the fans and enforced the no excessive holding rule. In this case, Berto was prevented from holding, put on a great performance, and obtained a great win. The fans won as well - a very exciting boxing match with no holding and wrestling.

The joys of an untelevised fight: "That prompted Vargas to knock the living shit out of him."

3:17, Mills Lane is an outstanding ref, but he is NOT a "United States federal judge." He's a Washoe County, Nevada, District Court Judge. Big diff. Secondly, federal judges are lifetime appointments and do NOT 'moonlight.'

I'm assuming that ref at the Ward vs Rodriguez fight was named Reese if I got that comment from the hbo fellas correct, unless they said "Reefes", but that guy really put his foot down, major respect to how quickly he got controll over the fight once he had enough
