It's the simple pleasures in life we miss the most when they are gone. I used to en plein air and every time I'd complain about all the crap needed for the experience. Now I can't walk at all and would give my left arm to have the use of my legs. Now I seethe outdoors through videos like this. Keep it up guys. You never know who is watching or why. Don't you worry about the sins of the wind. People like me relish it. When we hear it it takes us back to the memory of what it felt like to have the wind blow through our hair.
Thank you so much Phillip I’m sorry to hear of your situation but am so pleased that I can help you experience the outdoors through my videos. I love being outdoors as does my daughter who is often behind the camera. She’ll be overjoyed to read your comments I hope to have some more plein air trips during the autumn and winter (my favourite season for painting outdoors!) Take care and I look forward to hearing from you again Andrew 👍🏻
I love your commentary. It’s you thinking out loud; very natural. Your paintings are beautiful and charcoal drawings! Wow! I envy your painting spots. I’ll probably binge watch all your videos. 😂
I love the color values and the choices you made painting this advanced level composition. The fore to background you performed was well executed!! thanks for sharing the video!
Hi Andrew.... Basil, the little boy☺️🙋♀️, very very very nice... You, Andrew mixed the colors in stunning way, about me.... 👌👍💯👏👏👏👏👏👏Many congratulations Andrew, the Great Artist.... 🎨🙋♀️Have fun day....
I like how you dealt with the foreground - esp bottom right - I struggle with foregrounds - it's like - you'd think as they're closest they'd have to be in most detail, yet you want the eye to travel more to the horizon , so you need to somehow say 'don't look here' , without creating a mess lol...it's hard - esp as the colours will be most vibrant. I think you pulled it off for def.
Loved the rocks in the foreground and the way you brought the line of them further down later, really satisfying to watch the composition change like that. Cadmium orange is gorgeous 🤍. Brilliant Andrew 👏🏼
Smashing video Andrew. Lovely shots of you painting on the rocks. Fabulous painting. Great to see your subs increasing. Looking forward to painting together soon.
beautiful painting. I really loved all the decisions and refinements you made in the studio ! The cooler green color in the mid headland, although it may have not abided the typical “rule book” of atmospheric perspective as you pointed out, totally worked and was a very striking and interesting element.
Cheers Paul The wind was a real problem swirling around! Had to cut out so much footage where I was talking into the camera! Managed to get something together though See you soon 👍🏻
Really caught the atmosphere in this one Andrew with the cool foreground and the warmer background. A nice painting Mate 🎨👍
Also first😁
Thank you so much Tez. Always appreciate your feedback 👍🏻
@@AndrewBarrowmanArt Thanks Andrew 🎨👍
Welcome mate 👍🏻

Lovely painting. It is really good to see how you developed it back in the studio. Great commentary.
Thank you very much Pamela - it was a pity the wind was so intense at sea level but it made for a great subject to paint

Thank you Cedric. It was a challenging location but I enjoyed it

Nice work again Andrew it really works with the cooler headland
Thank you Keith. Yes that cooler headland definitely helps, glad I painted it like that 👍🏻🎨

Thank you Robin - foregrounds are quite tricky. I don't always get them right!

Thank you very much Sarah. Yes that Cad Orange 🍊 is almost edible 😉

Thank you Robin
It’s heading in the right direction 👍🏻 see you soon
Hello Andrew, I love your work, and so good to watch your process! I just wondered what you use as a medium? Is it just turps? Thanks 😊
I just realised... stand oil and turps.... cheers!
yes that's it - if you are indoors you could try Gamsol or ZestIt but nothing is as good as turps
Andrew do you ever use water mixable oil paints ie. Windsor and Newton Artisan range .
Hi Paul - no I'm afraid not. I have lots of traditional oil paints so wouldn't want to buy any new types of paint

Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed the video
It seems to me that it would be hard to pick a view to paint. Everywhere the camera was pointed was stunning! This is a lovely painting.
Thank you very much Judith! I agree, it is very difficult to settle on one particular view when surrounded by such beauty
YES 😊👍👍👍
Thank you 🙏🏻 😃
Это рассвет? Или закат?
Evening on the Lizard
Nice work cum, shame the sound went a little, but all that said an enjoyable video, cheers Paul
Cheers Paul

А русские субтитры можно сделать?
I let RUclips do the subtitles
@@AndrewBarrowmanArt субтитры есть, но только на английском языке, к сожалению
@@kvz9863 I'm sorry about that - I will see if I can change the settings
