It is necessary. More federal judges are needed. But the Republicans want to use it as an axe to cut away at the last bits of democracy in the US. That's why they all of a sudden changed their mind after Trump won the election. Their thinking is so obvious, they're practically translucent.

Where are the reforms to remove the partisanship from the judiciary? Every other democracy manages it to some degree or another. There is no point expanding courts when this basic conflict of interest is so prevalent.

In Australia Judges must retire once they reach 70 years of age. This is much better than the system in the USA. The appointments are also non-political, a much better system. If Tulsi is appointed then England, Canada, Germany, Poland, France, Italy, Ukraine and Australia will no longer share information with the USA as they know that this information will go straight to pUtin.
While not sharing any information is good. Sharing information that will mislead the put is even better. Use the orange to your advantage in this case.

Additionally, judges appointed by Biden are qualified and do not have a history of far right extremism and favoritism toward Democrats. Whereas actual bias is clearly present in the far right judges like Aileen Cannon who literally ran afoul of her fellow judges for her outright unacceptable protection of Trump. Biden never had to sit in front of a judge that he himself appointed. Not least of the reasons why is that he never committed a major crime, so never had to sit in front of a Judge. Lastly, Biden was not convicted of 34 counts of FELONY FRAUD, let alone in civil court of sexual assault.

Veto is a normal presidential activity... unlike hush money payments, fraud, inciting riots, stealing/concealing top secret documents and attempting prevent the succession of the office to the newly elected president.
That just means the republicans will resubmit it once Trump is in office and they have the ability to pass it and appoint their own judges. Biden should pass it, and then fast track the appointments over the next month before Trump takes office

Biden can NOT pass bills! That is done through the Congress. The President can only sign a bill or veto a bill AFTER the House & Senate pass a bill. That's why every President needs a majority in the House & Senate to pass legislation. Biden could NOT sign the bill because Repubs tied up the bill until AFTER the election so djt could appoint fascist judges.

ALL of the federal judges need a term limit. No one should be a free ticket in for life.
One group is shopping for the the forces of evil..
And the other is trying to expand the judiciary
Is there a reason why the supreme court only hears a certain amount of cases a year and why these justices drag out reaching decisions on the cases they hear? Is the supreme court pretending to be busy golfing or taking time off. The length decisions making and hearing cases doesn't add up. Perhaps they should be paid only on a case by case basis in the reasonable time frame any case should take in order to give the public their rights
For real, it's a lifetime appointment, and hearing cases is their ONLY JOB. They don't research or write most of their own opinions. That's what clerks are for. So they just work approximately 3 hours a week, and do "thinking" for the rest of the time. It's ridiculous. I understand some cases are more important than others, but they definitely could do more. I will say that more judges will allow more cases to be heard and decided on, but so would not being lazy lol
@tylerhendrix7550 Personally myself I feel the current number should deal with more cases and more quickly and their time given to their working time should be increased to work on current and more cases to be heard and resolved more speedily that way if the number of justices is increased the new justices should not allow themselves be affected by the current justices this would allow more time to concentrate on term limits, accountability and other necessary changes needed

Parties shouldn't be involved at all. Judicial branch positions should be completely independent of the influence of the other branches, the fact that politicians pick out judges in this country is insane.
If that was the deal offered at the start it’d be workable. If it had passed quicker though, the bill would have given all the appointments to Biden and there’s no way he would have invoked veto. So there’s been just as much partisan jockeying from both sides on an issue both parties agree needs to be solved. Now that electoral fortunes have turned so Trump would get those appointments instead, this is pretty much a case of sour grapes.
