I am a late generation Boomer ll. The problem is, and has been since the 1970s, an ever worsening club of establishment corporatist Democrats... especially the Clinton era Democrats. Just look at their past three presidential elections... the DNC no longer even holds legitimate primaries. Their candidates were 'not elected'... instead, they were selected through 'rigged primaries or no primaries at all'... by their big monied donors, party establishment, and the DC elites.. The old guard are just Clinton-era establishment, corporatists, and elitist type democrat shills. Both of these types need to go. There are those that are in the game 'that play to win'... and then there are those 'that just play to stay in the game'... sadly, both of these types have a long, long established history of 'doing only just enough' to keep themselves in the game... 'Do Nothing Democrats' is not just a label... it is a very well earned descriptor. It is also the reason Trump was ever elected after the Obama era of half-measures and appeasements. Once the Democrats get in power, they appease Republicans and deliver little much to their electorate other than watered down, half-measures at best. The American people know the difference between 'reasons and excuses'... There are, in fact, two distinct groups of Boomers. "Boomers I and ll" refers to a way of dividing the Baby Boomer generation into two distinct groups: "Boomers l" being those born earlier in the Baby Boomer range (typically 1946-1954), and "Boomers ll" (also sometimes called "Generation Jones") being those born later in the range (typically 1955-1964), experiencing different social and political landscapes during their formative years; essentially, the "early boomers" and the "late boomers.". Perhaps the only thing Generation Jones have in common with the older Boomers is high birth rates. Unlike the older Boomers, Generation Jones were not born immediately after the Second World War. They were not born during those early years of heady, post-war optimism and prosperity. Boomers II were the ones who came after, and we have borne firsthand witness to the selfishness of Boomers I, who have selfishly pulled the ladder up and destroyed all of the opportunities for everyone else that they, themselves took full advantage of. 😊

I couldn't even really find out if my husband's mail in was counted. It said it was accepted, and in the explanation it said that if it was accepted it was counted. Doesn't look the same to me.

You might have trouble getting on their websites. If your zip isn't in their district, they won't let you on.

Since they have the house majority, if something happens they don't want, they just change the law.

When even one American vote is threatened for illicit or partisan purpose, every American vote is threatened. Voting is a sacred right for ALL Americans. Every single one.

Everyone in ❤the country should update their voter registration and submit any documents required for present day voter registration. I’m still hearing that people mailed in their votes, but still don’t see evidence of their vote being counted.

I must be hopelessly old-fashioned and strait-laced. I honestly never cared about who was in what Party. I assumed everyone was honestly trying to do their very best for the country as a whole. I started volunteering to help at the polls at 17 with my Mom. By the time the state paid us, I was the inspector at local polls. I didn't work the same place twice - I went wherever needed in LA County. Luckily, I spoke a little spanish, but I was also sent to areas where few spoke English or Spanish. So, I learned we ALL cared about our voting rights, and we never had ANY fights between Party's. WE WERE AMERICANS! That all changed when Trump ran in 2015. Suddenly, it was very difficult to get Republican's to work the polls. But, they stood outside all day. In the morning, they were yelling at voters... from the required distance. But that stopped when they realised there were no businesses open for them to use the bathroom. They were shocked when we offered to let them use ours, as long as they did not talk to voters or bother the voting process. At first, they peered around suspiciously. (Why hadn't they been volunteering to help at elections??) But most of us had been doing this for years, so it was quiet and professional. As the sun set, they went off for dinner while we cleaned the church, packed up, and took the ballots to be counted. The next time, the MAGA gangs were much worse. They tried to block voters from voting. They attacked some voters. A bunch of neighborhood ex-servicemen ran to protect people trying to vote. Their commander called the police. One GOP voter, whom I had refused to give a ballot since he was not a registered voter in our district, bragged he had voted at 3 locations. I calmly informed him that only the one where he was registered would be counted. He was surprised and furious. Can you imagine?? What a spoiled brat. He was probably going to spend some time in jail... all because he wanted HIS choice to win. He was fine with denying others' vote, thus destroying our democracy. He and his fellows are totally UN-American!!

So grateful that the state I live and vote in, calls you if there is a minor snag on the ballot envelope, etc. My state ensures every vote counts. You know, like a Democracy. Is NC a democracy or is the NC Supreme a GOP self-styled tyranny?

Someone with guts needs to start a new liberal party. The Dem brand is hopeless toxic. Democrats are so demonized in 80% of the US no one will listen to a word they say. In the South, Democrats are despised. No one trusts them.
