I'm a life-long democrat but at one point i did consider voting for Sen. McCain. That changed when he chose that bimbo from Alaska for VP. That was the first time i actually thought "i hope Palin doesn't become the norm or we're going to be in big trouble" qnd now look at us...far worse people have infiltrated the Republican party.

We need to be fighting at every level!!! Trump wants to turn policy over to the states - so we should take that and get as many states to oppose as many programs Trump attempts to implement. Brian, can't you use Twitch to educate - historically and big picture how government and social programs work, how the people we elect do their jobs and how the republicans are misusing their position to prevent anything from getting done?

So they DIDNT remove 700 some citizens right to vote. They took the names off the role mistakenly and put them back before election day after they or the voter caught the error. The other 1300 were non-citizens registered illegally. So REALLY 100% of the 1300 illegals were removed. And thats all.....the rest could vote. Mistakes happen, this is textbook gaslighting.

The Democrats have been sitting back and waiting to react for far too long - they should at least be accessing potential Trump/Republican moves and forming a plan of action and in some cases acting pre-emptively and putting obstacles in place to stop him ahead of time (much the way the republicans have been doing in congress).

Marc, please explain to me why a ballot that is clearly the current election ballot and was received at polling station or election headquarters, or was post-marked before election day needs a date on it at all? Why does the date make a difference? Why aren't there laws, or doesn't the FCC have teeth to stop these misinformation and outright lies outlets? Freedom of speech is a great thing, but what FoxNews for example, does is the equivalent of shouting fire in a crowded theatre when there isn't a fire. What can be done to protect freedom of speech but stop people from the non-stop disseminating lies over and over again once they have been fact-checked? Once a lie has been fact-checked, any outlet that continues to spew that lie or misinformation should be sanctioned or penalized. We need to hold these media outlets accountable or how are we ever going to have a populace that is using actual fact to form their opinions? Another problem is that many people in this country do not take their civic duty as an actual responsibility of being an American citizen. I had a number of people tell me after the election that they hadn't really paid any attention to this election cycle. people do not make the connection between who is elected with the struggles they have in their own lives. Brian, what we would call mainstream journalist no longer exists. The ilk of Walter Cronkite or Edward R Murrow are gone - journalists now are kowtowing to their wealthy owners and that person's personal agenda. If you haven't read Brian's book 'Shameless' it is so worth the read.

The Justice system has failed us and Trump has zero boundaries or any ethical standards to speak of. We know this. This sets a very dangerous precedent because now there are no consequences or accountability for a president who breaks the law using whatever means necessary. It’s as simple as that. An unrestrained president can now do great harm to the country and our citizens, and never be held accountable. This is a terrifying situation our country is in.

7:57 I hear you Marc, but I don't think getting away from politics just for a kind of "mental health break" is gonna make a considerable difference either way. Taking a break and being "disengaged" politically are 2 different things. What people watching Brian and you and other pro-democracy channels need to do IMHO is to find out where they can be most effective WHERE THEY LIVE and where they have personal connections. (Except don't talk politics at family gatherings or where there's too much stress about it all. My exp is that will only cause more separation & resentment on both sides.) We all know, we can read books, listen to podcasts or view videos all night & day. They feed us with like-minded & comforting sanity and that's important too. But if we don't actually engage in "efforts to cause change," within our own small spot of influence or expertise in the world then we're just not gonna make any difference.

As a Christian, I plan to communicate more directly to conservative and fundamentalist Christians who are embracing Donald Trump as president. Truth-telling is foundational in Christian teaching, and all major religions. But for people who've been so vocal, so concerned (supposedly) about The Ten Commandments not being displayed in schools or other public buildings, yet embrace THE BIGGEST LIAR we've ever seen in American politics, that's a major CONFLICT and HYPOCRISY that THEY are simply ignoring or are blind to. The issue must be addressed and ABSOLUTELY put on their doorstep.

But real Americans are smart and they because they think with hearts and brains.

In my state you can register at the polling place when you vote, easy enough to just make sure you have the necessary things with you (just google what they are), that's really not a big deal.
