- While we were in Louisiana for several days, the last day of the trip really stood out. The numbers, diversity, and quality of snakes seen was mind blowing, so much so I had to break it up into two videos for one day. Enjoy Part 1!

I know nothing about snakes and just stumbled across this video. However, I think it's hilarious how the first Mud Snake has these bright dangerous looking "stay away from me I'm venomous" colors....aaaand it's harmless!
"HARMLESS"
Snake: strike at camera
Also snake: am I a joke to you
Exotic state scared the shit outta me
There’s a snake in my boot 🤣
Exotic state it scared the hell out of me I jumped.
That made me spill my food

I love how you guys put them back where you found them instead of just letting them go in random areas, where they’d be confused. I love this aspect about you guys’ hobby. You genuinely care for the snakes. ❤️ 🐍
so they put them safe back where they found them
im also wondering if they do indeed put them back after finding them?
I love snakes
these guys have like the perfect amount of southern roughness and hospitality in their accent
Snakes: *chilling out under metal tins*
Humans: *flips them over for vlog*
Snakes: DAMN HUMANS!
I am pretty sure they place most of them definitely the wood planks
Can’t believe they’re so calm not biting or anything, hardly look stressed
Right? We have tons of snakes here in Montenegro, whipsnakes,adders,grasssnakes...And as soon as you even close the distance on the snake it starts hissing and biting.
Colton Nedyah lizard: oh shit oh shit ahhhhh
I think they filmed this when it was chilly.

No if you look at 3:13 once he crabs the female mud snake, it shows where they have bitten him on his knuckles

I love how you all enjoy the snake day! Especially at 13:45. It's obvious that the guy enjoys it. I am super afraid of snakes and just the thought of seeing one in person makes me wanna scream and cry

Wow, lots of snakes.. in all my years of herping (roughly 53 so far) I have never seen a green snake, rough or smooth on a flip. They’ve always been in a tree, bush or just out in the grass. What a great day you had! 👍🏼

Amazing that you can find all of these different species at one site. I have never seen a rattlesnake in the wild or a copperhead and I used to be in the outdoors a lot too. I can find black snakes, moccasins, garter, blue racers , eastern water and brown worm snakes in abundance around my house.
I love how the second you flip you know the kind of snake, and you don’t touch the baddies

Ribbon snake:oh come on! You ruined my hiding spot! I’m going away!
These videos really help me with my snake phobia. Naming them and identifying if their harmless or not in the video makes me feel more comfortable. Thanks fellas!
Funny to hear "Is that a garter?" I'm in Ottawa and I'm always surprised to find anything but a garter.
yep, im just waiting for the snow to finish melting and them to start coming out at the dog parks
Fab StillSmokin I live in Boston and my back yard is filled with brown garters, i always think it’s so cool just to see the little guys there
What I love the most is you picked almost many snake ❤️❤️❤️ which I love the most ❤️❤️
Those were some amazing snakes! The belly of those mud snakes was beautiful! My first pet snake as a kid was a ribbon snake so it's cool seeing one in habitat. Also, interesting to think how elusive the milk snake was for you guys. I live in upstate NY and we have very few species to look for but I've seen lots of milk snakes in my life without trying too hard. Must be just localities and commonality. Loved the video. That's so much tin to flip!
The mud snakes and copper heads were my favorite, absolute gorgeous.
What beautiful creatures, I love how that mud snake had red underneath. Its so cool! So much anticipation for every board u lift!
1:57 why did I jump when the snake tried to bite him😂😂😂
1:15 that smile is priceless just good vibes all around
When the second one attacked the camera, I flinched😂 And al the bugs make me shiver 🥶
Never seen anyone so calm when you have 4-5 Copper heads a Timber and a Cotton mouth with in two feet of ya. All those Venomous snakes and looking for a Milk snake.

I super effing love your channel!!
I went snake hunting as a boy in Florida, it was always a thrill when they turned up. Back then we would first take them home for a couple of weeks them return them.

I love to see someone that can appreciate the snakes beauty, majestic creatures!!
Spread those metal sheets around from the pile and give lots more of those critters living space! Amazing habitat providers.

Mud snake is toooo much beautiful n i like watching it but its tooo much scary..
Keep safe guys..😁
I love how they put them back under tin when they're done with pictures so they can keep living:D
I like that you are content to simply look at the venomous snakes without feeling like you have to pick them up and piss them off. They’re pretty chill when respecting their boundaries. It seems curious to me that there is such an abundance of tin sheets all over the ground.
Merch Degrasse Maybe hurricanes are the cause of the tin laying all over the place?
@@catbirdherping9857 There snake traps, im from lousisana and we generally use metal sheets or large wooden planks to see if any snakes will come, and yes we do take most of the sheets from hurricane debris
Man, I haven’t found a green snake in Tennessee in years! Y’all had a really good day! The mud snakes were beautiful!
Fab StillSmokin my friend says it’s because they spray so insecticide in Tennessee and the green snakes eat insects and that’s why there aren’t as many!
Fab StillSmokin yes he is 8 years old!
Fab StillSmokin bro idk about Boston but in Tennessee we have so many bugs and farmers spray their crops with insect killers and which kills the insects and decreases the population on green snakes. No he’s not 8 years old smart ass!
i love how slowly the first banded struck 😂
That mouse nest @5:00 had the chillest mice ever. They just wandered off like "aight, imma head out". All the mice I've seen sprint for their lives
This is herping paradise! The biggest day for me was in California, when I caught nine snakes in one day. There were two boards in Monterey under which my brother and I found three gopher snakes and four ringneck snakes, and also a skink. Then later in the day under another board in Carmel I found two garter snakes, or it might have been one garter snake each under two separate boards. That was 1983, so my memory of the day isn't perfect. But there were times when I could go into the woods every day for weeks without finding a snake. In California it seems like late April, through May, and June were always the best time of year to find snakes. Finding areas with good ground cover is sometimes tough. Boards are the best, as they are easy to flip and put back, and snakes love to hide under them. A board on the edge of a clearing or a field, right next to the tree line or some tall grass or vegetation is usually the best spot. I kind of wish people wouldn't litter, except for wooden boards! Please leave lots of wooden boards all over. Thank you.
1:58 ...THAT JUMPSCARE THO 😂
Enjoyed your video !!! Straight to the point
I’m terrified of snakes but wow that first one is a beauty.
I just fell in love with those red-bellied mud snakes! I looked up taking care of them as pets, so I don't think I have the resources to keep one, but I do love looking at them. You have one of the best channels on RUclips!
8:12 I didn’t even see the snake at first it blends in so well with the leaves 😂
