It's not very often you come across a car hood graveyard. The snakes seem to appreciate it. BRAVO
I live right next to some woods and there are a ton of old cars buried in the dirt
the fact that you guys watered a rattlesnake is just so cool and says so much about the type of guys you are!! thank you! instant thumbs up. cant wait to see more stuff.
So glad to see the spotted turtle show up on the channel!
very happy here too! one of my favourites
So nice of you to say that
The rattlesnake drinking was so cute!!!
It's cool not cute lol well maybe a little
I wanna boop it😊
Till u mess with it
He was cute!
Cute?
It's seriously impressive how fast you see the copperheads, their camouflage is top notch
yep
That is one off the nicest E. Box turtles I've seen in a while. Nice outing!
your a cat!!!
You should see the ones in York County, very pretty 😁
The racer got nice idigo color
The rattlesnake having a drink was the coolest
Those copperheads are so well camouflaged. Awesome video 🐍😊🐍
ALL of the snakes 🐍 were great (what diversity!) especially the hog nose, but the spotted and box turtles 🐢 were great! enjoyed the video!
I love the videos guys! Thanks for sharing your finds! Grew up on a 70 acre farm. I’d remove king snakes and corn snakes from the horse stalls so they wouldn’t get trampled. I remember one of my most terrifying moments as a kid. Flipping big rocks in the creek looking for “crawdaddys” (lol) and a cottonmouth picked it’s head up and looked right into my soul. Scared the 💩 outta me. I’ve never ran so fast to the very day lmao. Thankfully I had my grandpa and uncles who took me herping at an early age to educate me on different species. I could identify any snake, frog, turtle, lizard I came across. Keep the vids coming!!
Man those copperheads really disappear in plain sight on that sandy soil! They are everywhere down there. Great video. That spotted and the really red box turtle were beautiful animals too.
Love the spotties. SO HARD to find!
So many gorgeous turtles and snakes in this video and all I keep thinking is that I'd be more worried about the number of ticks you guys pulled off of yourselves and the dog!!
I was thinking the same thing.
GOD I love hognose snakes. They're definitely one of my favorites along side the indigos.
Awesome video! Triple flipping a Timber, Copper, and rat would send me into shock. So cool.
This is why I wear snake boots when I walk through the woods.
You’ve had many great videos Noah ... this one easily in the top 10 of all time. Insane. Great habitat + abundant tin and other cover = much success! Thx for sharing (as always)! Beautiful Spotted Turtle, the one male Eastern Box Turtle and the Banded Water Snake were all magnificent; not to mention the plethora of copperheads and rat snakes! And of course the Canes. WOW - well done!
I love the Eastern Hognose Snake. They’re so sassy.
Didn't realize most copperheads were from the hood. 😀 I live 40 miles south east of Austin Texas on 20 acres. I have 30 tins out as of last week. I just uploaded a short video of 2 huge ray snakes mating and I'm going to follow yall lead with a channel. Thanks fellas
Wow! I've never seen so many snakes flipping and the rat, rattler and copperhead was truly epic!
Oh my god the spotted turtle, one of my absolute favorites, ive been looking for years around my area to see some wild ones with no luck. They supposedly inhabit my range but the boggy habitat + actual spotted's are rare. I live in the Durham area of NC.
The spotted turtle looks like someone splattered yellow paint on it! Beautiful!
They are so well camouflaged. I hold my breath when you flip something. I'm sure you've had a few surprises.
That box was a beaut
You guys find a lot of Northern Copperheads down there! Most of the hog nose snakes I find are so good at playing dead, that if you turn them back right side up, they are so dead they will turn belly up again! Nice finds guys!
Great video Noah! I loved the mole salamander......😁 I’m glad you guys had a great day!! Keep up the great work and stay safe. 😄❤️🐬
Eastern hoggies still one of my favorite the show the put on is amazing actually mildly venemous but absolutely don't bite
One lucky king snake needs to find his way into that copperhead buffet
That’s what I was hoping for! No such luck this trip.
Why that poor king snake would die from copperhead right
@@misscandy84 no, king snakes actually eat venomous snakes, it would be fine
@@williamwalz9151 That's why they are called the king of snakes :P
I read king snakes were becoming extinct I had 1 here for years he got huge but I never saw any poison snakes then one year my neighbor killed him dang him
Hey I live in metro Atlanta area I’m a young herper watching your videos is what made my love for snakes wondering if you could meet up and teach me some about herding I’m 17
Are these car hoods and other metal galvanized pieces placed strategically so you can continue to go back and see what is there is at different times of the years?.
I do a similar thing for my job with the park district and yes we place coverboards in migration areas to monitor the species
@@spjr99 what is the point of this?
what are they doing this for?
just curious...thx
I’m from South Carolina! Ayyy!
I’m very curious to know where all these random hoods come from
I was just thinking that....
They probably add some
The hood 😂
I'm with you guys. Where did all these hoods come from?
Snake farming.
Omg I've done this since I was a kid. Love snake hunting
I don't get it, I have about 50 acres behind my house. Forest, open areas, under rocks and branches, logs. Not one snake, you lift up one rock, and theres 9 snakes!!
rip man same
I enjoy watching the diversity you find there. Here in the deserts of the Southwest it's mostly rattlesnakes that I come across (several species are common here). My question for you is do they purposely plant all these old hoods and corrugated steel around the property just to provide snake habitat? I don't see lots of other trash laying around, but there sure are lots of hoods and tin roof pieces.
I've never seen so many tins in my entire life! Awesome!
This is awesome just discovered you guys now gotta catch up
Ha. Used to do this searching for bearded dragons in the local bush. Cheers
I miss catching spotted turtles in the 80s off the Chesapeake Coldwater streams. Remember it's starting to get hard to find them after a couple years😢
The pattern on that copperhead as it slithered away seemed almost like an optical illusion the way it rippled. Amazed and a bit disturbed at how many snakes were all around. I had no idea there were so many and so concentrated with different types all clustered together like that. Definitely has me rethinking flipping anything over in the woods - like ever.
How do you keep from being bit as you walk through grass like that?
Are there a lot of cars in South Carolina without hoods?
Just a guess but the rest of the cars were probably scrapped
Why wouldn't there be? We do things a lot different down here, Country living....
Lots of abandoned cars in general, so yea
Probably put there purposely for herping
Horrible question
Hognose was the first snake I had experience with. I was a young boy in the country who loved the woods lake and swamp. After seeing a hognose for the first time and noticing their ability to flatten their heads as a kid it scared the hell outta me. I later told my dad I had seen a cobra. My dad laughed his ass off. Ive owned several snakes in my 53 yrs and caught and released copperhead in virginia in farm and people areas .
Impressive number of copperheads. Cool vid.! 👍
Awesome herping with so many cool different finds just in one day. Honestly I didn’t expect so many copperheads neither them hiding together with non-venomous snakes. But why did you take the dog with you? It was excited all of the time and was creating an anxious feeling, which detracts slightly from the experience.
Wow, the amount of reptiles you are finding is staggering! I would love to try this sometime.
Living vicariously --- THANK YOU!
Awesome video. You guys found some awesome animals. Keep up the awesome work.
Love your videos.
I find it amazing how many snakes in USA are harmless and can be handled, here is Australia it's the opposite, usually the snakes here will try to get away from you but one mistake and you could be dead in a couple of hours.
Hiked yesterday and came across a black and white striped california kingsnake by me in socal , thought immediately of this channel ha
Incredible video full of emotions !
I'm glad these guys know what they're doing!
I'm surprised at how many car hoods and sheet metal laying around! Cool for herping though.
One day I'll find my first hognose when I go herping. I'm so jealous!
Shot 3 of em last week

Excellent video!
The one rat snake was awesome. You left it where you found it too. Good man
When I first heard that dog breathing, I thought one of you guys was out of breath. Was getting a little worried
Same i thought one of them were out of breath
cmon dude that didn't even sound like a person
11:38 i have seen quite a few box turtles in my years and i'll have to say this one has excellent coloring and its shell isn't chipped and dinged up like some
You guys are CRAZY!!!!!! I live in the north, so please keep those snakes in the south.
Loved every minute of this video
I grew up in the southwest deserts and played in the hills near our ranch day in and day out with all my cousins...climbing, digging, etc. I'm really shocked we didn't run into too many snakes. We had mice, prarie dogs, lizards, toads, cotton tail, quail, squirrels, cats, piles of equipment and car parts everywhere, yet I rarely saw a snake in the barns or sheds or anything. I did almost step on a rattler near my grandma's house as I was running with a can of coke. Freaked out, dropped the can and told my uncle (who sadly killed it with a shovel). Also my cousin was using the outhouse and there were like 8 bull snakes (non-venemous) in there 🤮
I had to go back and check to see if we were kin snakes in the outhouse when I was little scared the crap out of me I ran out screaming trying to get my clothes back on I was 4 or 5
One time me and my friends flipped a piece of metal and found seven snakes including some Copperheads, Gardener snakes and water snakes.
Yay always excited to see a new vid keep it up picked up my first snake two weeks ago, it was a 4 foot rat snake sun basking and if I had never watched your Chanel I would have never picked it up and I would probably have killed it
This video is so wholesome
Cool box turtles I saw a lot of those in Kentucky looked just like her. One of my favorite snakes is a chicken snake and I've never seen them look like that before the ones I've seen all have the lines no blotches. Awesome I love you guys( bromance ( LOL keep up the good herping
Do you guys ever get ticks on you? With all that you're going through that looks like tick heaven.
As someone who does this for work yes I find ticks on my clothes or on my objects a lot, but I use tick spray and also this thing that you wash your clothes with to help repel them
Awesome video- tons of copperheads.
I love these videos I learn alot from them keep up the great work 😆
The quality of the paintjobs of those carhoods is very good too, and we euopeans laugh about us car quality?😅.
Nice herps too ofc..
When handling the rat snake, you appeared to be in someone’s weed garden. ;)
Love the video so many snakes, LOVE IT
Living in SC it's awesome seeing all these healthy reptiles and amphibians
Awesome AWESOME Awesome.
A copper, a timber, and a rat walk into a car hood...
The hoods were placed out there intentionally.
@@asneakerheadzworld3489 🤦♂️
Haha
The spotted turtle is cool. I've never seen one here in north central Texas.
Only one makes it out alive lol
Epic another herping video
This video is awesome I absolutely love love snakes
How do you guys manage not to step on one of those copperheads going to and from each hood? Or does the video just make them look more plentiful than they are?
I’d be really scared to get that close to venemous snakes
99 percent of snakes will not try to bite you unless you make a sudden jerky movement close to them or you pick them up. Even then most won't bite you. And my worst snake bite from a 3.5 foot snake felt like getting snagged on a rose bush. Snakes seem scary but they are mostly docile and even their bites hurt 10x less than getting cut or bit by a cat
Very nice video..exciting herping trip..the hognose was a sweet surprise.
Great videos!! Love all of the Agkistrodon spp.
I'd pay to go flipping with you all next time there! Awesome video!
None of them biting ya. Crazy. Same breeds captively bred, and would still be mean as shit
awesome treat to see the spotted turtle. my second favorite turtle! first is the western painted! got them in my area but have never seen one in the wild. my friend in elementary school found a baby on his doorstep and i fell i. love with them right then and there. so beautiful.
Beautiful triple bud. That rattler was gorgeous.
I bet that most copperhead bites come when you accidentally step on one
Even then sometimes they will just run away
Venomous snakes are honestly more scared than non venomous
@@spjr99 that's some bullshit lol
It does make me wonder if Noah has ever been bitten by a venomous snake such as a copperhead or rattlesnake
Dog choking itself lmao
OMG DOGGIE!!!!! I love the dog!!!!! Looks like my uncle’s hunting beagle , Chilli Willi💜💜💜💜💜
WATCH THE TICKS TOO! Eastern Box Turtles are one of 12 species of native South Carolina turtle that will benefit from the passing of this new legislation of protection.
Hmm. I used to place tin roofing around my grandparents property as a child to catch garter snakes. I'm guessing that is what these guys did. Maybe they own a junk yard.
You videos make me happy and seeing a rattlesnake was so cool when it was shedding and the water snake
Subscribed for more of your content keep making it lads I love watching you guys look for snakes 🐍 I’m scared to death of them but you guys rock ❤
so were we supposed to just throw our car hoods in the woods when we were done using them or......
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
The 1st time me and my wife saw one of those hog nose snakes we thought it was somebody’s escaped pet cobra lol. Then it played dead.
They are harmless. They’ll hiss at you when you pick them up but wont bite at all unless the sense you smell like food or something 😂 they are funny snakes to have as pets
i love your videos! i also love animals!
Cats are to cardboard boxes as Snakes are to car hoods 😁👍
Spotteds are up into Canada as well! Extremely rare up here
"How many dirty mattresses can we go through today " I just know you'll never break my ex girlfriend's record!
Hello there
OOH SHITT
I see you have a lot of respect and love for these creatures. When there are so many people due to ignorance misguided fear tends to kill every snake they see
Really cool video of catching snakes😎😎💪💪👍👍
