Coming from someone who lives in KY, believe me it's a shithole. Lots of beautiful places, history, and potential but unfortunately there's a lot of disregard for the environment and wildlife and loads of drug activity. Many years ago when I was working at Walmart I saw my manager walk by with a bundle of bags, when we asked what was up he said he found yet another dirty needle in one of the dressing rooms. That same WalMart was under a lot of fire shortly before that incident due to a woman buying her son a pair of shorts and finding a dirty needle in the pocket. I don't even live in a bad neighborhood and I know at least 3 heroin dealers that live just up the way from me in an old run down apartment complex. Most of my previous coworkers were meth/heroin addicts as well. It's a sad fucking state, not to mention one of the most impoverished and uneducated states in the country.

What did you mean by flipping season is nearly over? You often mention air temps, etc. Would love for you to elaborate more of how these variables affect your search methods.
I'm sure Noah will answer, but in most parts of the country, spring is the best time to flip for snakes. It's a touch colder, usually, rain gets things moving and snakes like to warm up under cover. As summer comes around, less rain, hotter temps and snakes aren't looking for a hot object to crawl under. Road cruising at night can produce in the summer depending upon where you are in the country.
