Love the honesty in your videos. You’ve done a great paint job there. 10 hours is quick for such a big model and you’ve added loads of lovely detail. 👏
Great work mate. You’ve got self-deprecation -itis. You should be rightly proud of yourself and your creativity. I am really looking forward to seeing your painting work grow and develop. The prints you choose are amazing so showcases your talent. Thank you for sharing your work. 😊😊😊👍👍👍
Mezgike's Dredge had me hooked the second I saw them. I'm seriously addicted to them. I literally have never had ANY interest in Chaos Marines before I saw these, but there was just no way I could refuse them- the theme and sculpts are just too cool. Well supported, amazingly engineered to minimize 'dead space' resin wasting (beyond just hollowing), and a joy to put together. Although I admit that I frequently trim the pyramid-shaped posts off the torsos for more flexibility in posing arms.
Great video man! I'd love to chat with you about the cones if you ever want to to make sure we clear up some misconceptions about it. We have v3 coming out very soon and its a vast improvement over v1 and includes some added fun and more features.
Thanks brother! That would be great! I'll happily admit I just used them because everyone else I talked to used them but I never really looked into what they were used for! It's great that your implementing new versions as well and I'll have a look at V3 when it comes out to see what the craic is, also your supporting videos really helped me out with some past videos so thank you so much for having them available on RUclips and with easy to follow instructions and explanations on why supports should go where they go
Just like model painting is different from army painting, using pre-supported models and manually supporting have different roles. A statuette, diorama, or center piece are well worth the attention to detail. But if you are trying to get 2000 points on the table, you probably won't have the time to support every model!
Your videos are informative , funny, and down to earth. We even adopted your "Jesus Wept" in the house for small things like stubbed toes or when someone washes their hands while your in the shower getting cold water (evil look to my boys) LOL. Keep all the mistakes, successes and painting please also awesome job :)
@@battlebrothersam I would like to help you by giving you a presupported model but my elegoo mars can't print it as the size is very big. Especially for the wings
Uniformation has not upheld it's guarantee withing a year of purchase and is now purposefully ignoring my emails requesting for support and replacement parts. I bought 2 GKtwo a washing and a curing machine. Overpaid, massive duty fees to canada, and now i cannot get any support or parts. Truly an awful experience.
Magnus invented the Cones of Calibration. They're s Tzeenchian trick to make everyone's prints overexposed so Geedubs figs look better by comparison. True Story.
Can I ask, why is so many painting RUclipsr's setup in such a darkened room with poor lighting? It really makes it difficult to see anything clearly about the painting. You mentioned "while the whole model looked quite bright" and I was like, I can't tell at all!
Lol in person it looked very bright and while I was editing I was like god the camera didn't pick up what it was actually like! I tried doing a darker scene to make it look more appealing but I know exactly what you mean! The darker background also hides A LOT of mess on the desk lol
@@battlebrothersam I thought it had something to do with the camera requirements for videoing, because the whole darkened room setup is very prevailing amongst many channels. But it is actually very, very bad for viewing purposes.. Can't see the details of the miniatures and the painting. I wonder if the other RUclipsrs know of this..
The Cones of Calibration are quite possibly the worst calibration test ever. It was designed to test the tensile strength of one particular resin. Do yourself a favor and delete the STL. I find the Amera Labs Town test to be all that is needed for calibration.
I just got a new Saturn and ran a few reps of the cones of calibration. I don't have that much experience with the cones outside of this because I used the Siraya Tech test model with my previous printer with some mixed results. My first actual print after using the cones seemed to work fine. Is there any particular reason the calibration isn't sufficient with them?

Nice to see Minirater gettin' some love! Cheers for helping spread the word 🍻
Thanks for all your hard work you do for the community!
Mezgike has excellent models - i print his ork units, and his presupports work for me 100% of the time.
This whole line of dredge Marines would be a good reason to start a Deathguard Army. Nice Paintjob! It really has a lot of details to take care of.

This was a treat to watch! I love Mezgike's stuff because they're so part separated. Heck, I've asked him to push the separation even further!

Hell yeah more painting videos Sam!
Mezgike is an awesome STL creator.
I've printed some of Mezgike's Bois. Great creator!
I enjoyed this video quite a bit, thank you brotha

Great video and paint job. Thank you very much for sharing 👍

very nice video but how to buy the bases the plege is ended

Painting videos are great!
FYI there is a really cool new cones of calibration coming, available on their discord already as a beta
Oh excellent do they still just test tensile strength?
MiniForge has some nice painting tutorials for beginner to intermidiate and intermidiate to advanced
Amazing model and painting! This is a serious draw to start a deathguard army!
Thanks! The model did most of the hard work with the details
iv just printed the same bases and all mine warped while curing any suggestions on what could be causing this?
you need to cure every side equally as the resin will shrink as it cures and create tension in the model.

Hahahaha jesus wept is a common staple here glad you enjoyed it brother!
OI LOKEN THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT YOU!!!! Milkman assemble!
I've just found out from him that he done the supports! What a lad!
As a proposition for your next video, you should print the new primark snakemen which is available. Unfortunately, it is unsupported at my knowledge
Ah that's a bummer with my timing for things hopefully if it becomes presupported I can do it

True Story.
Volume is really low. Not sure why.
I'll look into how it is compared to the other videos in my editing program!

I like the validation matrix
Does the town also test exposure or is it different
The cubes of calibration are really good

@@alecryan5962it will tend to result in higher exposure times. I find Cones very useful to get in the ballpark.
Ameralabs town >>> cones of calibration imo

Stop calling them 8k, 12k whatever. You know this. Stop it.
This was an awesome video. Keep up the good work those are some damn good looking models for the death, guard legion 🥷👍
