- we played my beloved dilo and it is a little beast. I still have to get used to the movement, the timing and many more, but jeez, it is fun to play dilo. we had many fights, in fact too many for the video. so, let me know if you want me to make a second part ;-)
we played on Islander's server which I can recommend so far. you can find his server in the community servers and check out the rules on Islander's discord.

Cool to see more of another dino game that's coming along well. The combat is a bit laggy and jumpy but at times the isle can be as well.

As A dilo player, my advice is to do 2 or 3 bleeds and then go in with the claw attack, and always watch your stamina
thanks a lot mate ♥ as you are a dilo player, may I asked you something, pls? I'm pretty new to PoT and can't judge by now how big of a difference the different types are. like, I chose the dilo with +speed, +defense, but -damage. is this -damage like onyl half of damage? or just a few %? which one do you prefer?
I usually go +damage or +speed, but imo I dont think it matters because you can be killed easy as a dilo, its more of a glass cannon type.

I like dilo as well. Its big enough to get a lot of action, but still small enough to not grow forever! Sadly, I didn't play it much so far. I stick to Megalania, my favourite for now! It's a bit like utah in Evrima, if you know how to fight with this thing you can kill almost everything!

thx mate ♥ I didn't play megs so far, but, I am no fan of them by now. they seem pretty unbalanced at the moment, not to say OP. their hitbox is too low, so, they are too tough to hit in my opinion. they are also able to fall back anytime and most are doing so as soon as they are low. they feel like a troll dino by now. at least, those I met acted like such ^^ but, like with every dino, it depends on the player ;-)
@@da.mombie To be honest, I don't think they are to strong yet. Probably to hard to hit? Yes, for sure. But as far as I experienced it so far, the PoT-hitboxes all seem to be a little bit weird from time to time, and the combat lag some dinos have (especially small ones like conca, utah and the 2 little raptor-thingies) doesn't help at all. And you would be surprised how fast megs drain stamina, in my experience pretty many dinos can outrun it stamina-wise. Well, probably it deels a little bit to much damage...
But thats just my opinion on it. Probably a little different than yours because I hardly face them as opponents.
Just a quick tip, if a meg starts to bully you, you should probably get to a spot where you can protect your back through a rock or something so the meg has to attack you into the face, atleast to me it proves to be really difficult to carry on the fight then without getting hit several times. Still, I like the meg how it is. Wouldn't mind some balance changes tho. If meg hunts get more of a challenge, I'd be happy with it. :)
And, is it just me or seems the dilo to be a lot The Isle Legacy inspired??? 😁
@@Dr_Jurassic like I said, I can barely judge, as I didn't play it myself so far. but, megs are running around the map like kings. attack everything, no matter what size. people don't do that with a weak dino. I saw them attack gigas, ducks and that size of dinos frequently. yes, utah was able to take down a rex in legacy. but, you had to play it really well. 'cause only a few players were on that level and even tried. so, most utahs didn't attack rex as solo. but, almost every meg I met attacked each and everyone. but again, I have to play it myself to have an ready opinion. yeah, dilo feels very much like legacy. only the nightvision and the awesome 1 call is missing XD
@@da.mombie woah, seems like I haven't played the game long enough as I have hardly seen such "killer megs". And trust me, I'd never attack an apex solo with a meg... So yeah, probably its too strong...

thx, honestly tho, I thought dilo has poison, but, it does bleed. so, Sokrates doesn't fit :/
Awesome video, I reccomend putting the basic bite on again its not as hard to land as the bleed bite ^^
thx mate ♥the bleed bite is kind of weird with the hitzone. or, more likely, I am just a noob XD really? but, doesn't the normal bite do very less damage in comparison?
@@da.mombie It has a weird hitbox its not just you xD but you can have both bites at the same time so it is good to have the normal one too for an extra attack

thx mate ♥ at the start I wanted to make one video with each dino. but, then I had to make two videos out of some dino lifes, just 'cause there was too much footage for one video. like allo, sucho and dilo. after all the target of this series is still to grow each dino and make one or at most two videos out of them. I want to play them all first :)

thx mate ♥ yes, in the official version (servers) you have to collect items to grow. personally I hate this. community server like Islander offer growing by time tho. you can still do these pick up quests to grow faster, but, you don't have to and I don't do that. 'cause it feels so stupid to pick flowers as carni or rocks and branches in general. private rule servers feel very much like legacy back in the days ;-)

yes, this was recorded on Islander's server and there are some mod dinos. I showed all available mod dinos on that server at the start of my "feels like home" video. beside deinosuchus, which I forgot to show in that video ^^

nope, I don't know irl dilo. I never saw one XD I even doubt they exist ;-) anyway, I confused it with the isle. which will probably feature a poison dilo.
@@da.mombie dilophos irl are as big as a human a bit bigger no frills or poison
@@S0LAAARRRRR mate ♥ we are talking about a creature which lived more than 100 million years ago. we still didn't find a lot of them, specially if you consider the huge area they probably lived. like North America, Aisa and Europe.
science today has a lot of theories about them. they even discuss if the Eurasian and American are the same category of species. so, it's pretty likely that there had been even more different forms of this species.
when I was young, science had the theory about dinos having a reptile hide. science today found more evidence and came up with the theory of feathers. science in 30 years will probably know even more and find other things. they may even find a dilo with poison.
what I am trying to say, our knowledge about dinos are no facts. these are theories. many of them very solid theories. but, so was the reptile hide theory ;-)
POT is better then the isle
they are very different games and beside both featuring dinos, they have nothing in common. that's like saying league of legends is better than skyrim. it very much depends on which type of game you prefer ;-)
This game is crap compared to the isle
it's very different. pot is more like a fun game and the isle is more like a simulation. one is survival and the other RPG. they don't have much in common in my opinion and it depends a lot on what type of gameplay you prefer.
