- sparring arrived and it is pretty fun. honestly, very different to what I expected and I also didn't figure out everything by now, but, our first attempts were promising and hilarious :)

The stego was a weakling after all fight dibble thought and now they teach him a lesoon not to mess with a herd of dibble

Sparring Tips:
1.) RMB is to block. It will let you strafe but it isn't the actual sparring stance. To enter that, press ctrl/crouch.
2.)Once in sparring stance, click LMB to attack. It will perform a quick headbutt attack. You can perform only 10 before needing to recharge (thats what the dots are) . You can not headbutt while holding block.
3.)If you land a hit on a dibble's head you will lock horns. Press shift while attacking to scoop and shove the dibble. Attacking the body with the scoop will hook opponents legs. You can block the frontal scoop with RMB but I think you can still get your body/hind legs scooped during this.
4.)LMB when scooped to recover, you will still fall down but the shoving will stop. If horns are locked, LMB will let you unlock them. If you don't move away, they'll lock again.
Some things may be missing or even misunderstood on my part but this info is *generally* correct and is what I was able to learn by playing. Anyway, hope these tips help someone and great video like always!

The dots are how many attacks you can do during sparring. When there are no dots, each attack will cost you stamina. That's how I understand it, correct me if I'm wrong :)

Honestly once the sparring mechanic is fully complete and fixed, i really want to see Triceratops spar. It’s going to be so majestic and incredible to watch. It’s going to be like watching the 2 Bewilderbeast Dragons from HTTYD2 fighting.
yeah, in general so many awesome dinos and moments are yet to come. like trike sparring, or a para herd blowing their horns on the horizon of a sunset and so many more

It's nice to see Diablos working together more now than just running around and left click spamming each other, since the sparring came out. 😊

Dibble noises are so funny I think its the 4 call that sounds like the screaming goat to me. So silly at 10:20 that you can just spar and get pushed right through the mate on the ground hahaha watching you all run and slide and bump into each other on the way to south was so cute
yeah, they are great. fun to play, cute, awesome sounds, well, I don't like the 3call much, but, every other call is awesome it was such a nice group in the end. srsly, from 11pm on you have the most chilled mates on the EU servers. everyone had probably one or two beer and is way more relaxed
I'm very happy for you Mombie that you really liked the mechanics of Sparring!!! in my opinion it will give a new way to have interactions with the players apart from the hunting moments😍😍😍
exactly, it's fun messing around without killing each other. another options to have fun and many more will follow
Absolute peak for the devs to release Dibble and have everyone grow them to try out and so cause an epidemic of them roaming the map killing everything, only to fix it by releasing the sparring mecanic delayed so everyone would switch to trying that out with fellow Dibbles :D
Once larger carnivores introduced to the game and Anky + Trike then the Stego dominance will end.
yeah, stego never was apex to me. back from legacy it was a more weak mid tier. like you said, it was dominant because the big ones are still missing in evrima. that's why I was little confused when they announced stego's new attack to stand a chance vs a rex. I never had in mind that a stego should stand a chance vs a rex. other than outrun it. but, we will see
The bullys will just move on to the strongest dino though...

I don't think so. there might be a hidden mutation we ain't discovered or they will add some later on. but, by now I don't even completely know how to spar to be honest

Hey guys, is the Pteranodon playable now? It's my favorite dinosaur but the stam thing is killing me haha
didn't play ptera on the horde test so far. but, on the officials it's still tough with stam

Nice sparring matches. Wish you guys had killed that stego. Him hiding on that small cliff makes me kind of wish there was collision detection between dinos so you could charge his ass off of it. I was about to ask what those dots were under the stam bar but then I saw you didn't know either, lol.

I am still a little confused by it. but, it's fun actually, we could have pushed it off the cliff. but, the chance to die by a swing before you come in range to push it was very high there. probably if 4-5 would have run up to it at the same time. 2-3 of them ready to die

Can someone tell me what this horde test is i don't know and i am curious
before they drop an update, they test it on test servers. in the past these tests were for certain players only, but since a couple of updates everyoen can play on these servers and they are called, horde test server
it's like playing PoT on the test branch. where you also can play the next version before it goes live.

I was the diablo that died at 4:50 by the stego lmao the new stego attack is very overtuned because its supposed to deal with a rex even tho its not even in the game ggs tho glad u avenged me by making it retreat like a coward
that was so unlucky for you. freaking aggro stego. yeah, we tried, sadly it survived tho
does that new tail attack with stego drain stam when they hold their tail like that? if not, it should. that makes stego too formidable when its already too strong for the current roster in my opinion. Anyways, fabulous video as always, Mombie!
thx mate ♥ honestly, I don't know. in fact I was pretty surprised how often it was able to swing with this heavy attack. not even mentioning to hold that long in between

What i read, tail staying up won't consume stamina from Stego, however while tail is up it can only attack left and right as well as do run stab ahead in weird aim.
Meaning while tail is up Stego cannot protect its head or rear until tail is lowered.
This again is what i read but seem good balance if tail returning down also takes few seconds and is easy to notice.

With a mutation that converts incoming damage into stamina stego has literally infinite stam, not exagerating

i think right click sparring it broken atm, if you press control instead it works
oh, thx, I will try next time. I didn't push ctrl once, I guess. so, maybe that's how you clinch your horns. because once they were clinched, I didn't know how that happened tho

I was the one that pushed you off the cliff. I thought when i pushed you off the first cliff, you were gonna fall off the next lower cliff and die. I was mortified ngl 😬
yeah, I had a feeling that you were kind of surprised that I survived. you also didn't explain anything when I asked in chat. it felt like you enjoy knowing more about sparring than I did and use it to your advantage. that's why I turned to the other dibbles around pretty quickly

I love dibble. it fits in very well in my opinion trexing? do you mean if I am excited about rex coming? well, kind of. I ain't THAT rex guy. it's a lovely dino, but, no special one to me. more like one out of many I am looking forward to

20+ dibbles not being able to take down one single steg its kinda laughable tho, no hate
well, if it wouldn't have used the cliff, then it would have died. before it killed like 2-3 dibbles. the first with an ambush tho. even more, almost nobody of us knew how to play dibble properly. I ain't even sure if a dibble is onehit or not. normally head is double damage, so yes. but dibble has the head protection and is weak from behind. but, does that mean we are oneshot from behind? like our back is like our head? I have no idea and many others probably didn't know exactly too.
what I'm trying to say is, I guess as soon as people know how to play dibble, it probably would have died even with the cliff. because I guess dibble can even push it down there. dunno tho, we'll see, but, I think we don't know dibble's full potential yet
@@da.mombie dibble takes 0.25 dmg on head, is 2 tons, stuns a wjole stego dealing 250dmg, broken hitbox, sparring, decently fast, insane acceleration, it's like the most op dino that ever came on this game, and it's an herbivore (of course) so its even easier to grow if it wasnt for the broken mz's
