For those who don’t have a bench but you have an exercise ball .,, I use a stability ball for a bench. It’s great. Also works core and glutes to stabilize. 👍🏻

I was able to push through using 10, 15, 20, and 25.....I went to lift my arm....geesh Sydney.....just what I needed....I hadn't worked out with my favorite tabata instructor since April. When she saw me on the Zoom screen, she screamed and exclaimed, oh my goodness....what have you been doing!!! It's working! Thank you for being you!
I found Sydney in March/ April when gyms closed and have loved every day since. I have consistently done 5-7 days each week. I am strong and confident in my work outs at 48. This work out, last move..... I dislocated my shoulder! I really can't believe it ! ( two hands on one weight, going straight back, up and chest press) . I was using 15 lbs and figure it was way too much. I was going with a tricep extension weight and it must have been too much. I yelled for my husband and we got shoulder back in within 1-2 minutes. First time for everything - but Dr says with rehab I'll be fine. I have rested arms 5 days and getting more and more mobility back each day. Sydneys positive thoughts are always in my head! I cannot wait to get back to weight training - safely!!!
I started stretching (of course with Sydney's stretch videos) every evening before bed and I make sure I don't eat after 7pm. Loving my new routine 😊😍😘
Today I was not feeling good about myself. I pushed through this workout with confidence and persistence. I am now feeling stronger than ever! I will read a book instead of late-night snacking and I will drink more water instead of having an unhealthy snack.

I sprained my ankle playing soccer Monday so I had to skip yesterday’s workout :( that was actually sad but I did floor exercises with your bands. And gurrlll those things make booty workouts burn like crazy. Best bands I’ve ever had. This workout was sooo good! I can just tell my chest is for sure going to feel it tomorrow and probably my back too. As for habits im going to put in place of an undesirable one-im going to read the Bible once a week and listen to podcasts and read my current book-Atomic Habits 3-4x per week instead of mindlessly scrolling through social media. I know that’s not fitness and diet related but it’s definitely mental health related (: Also, if you created a podcast 1000% I would subscribe. I feel like you have a lot of wisdom to be shared with people that needs to be aired more than 1-5 min during cool down. Concentrated Wisdom with Syd! Fit Wis with Syd. Boulder shoulder be poppin' today! This workout is my jam. My back and chest are getting stronger for sure. I am proud of my progress. I dropped my calories back down to 1914 this week for my surplus journey because I was struggling hard mentally and physically all last week. But I felt like the strong me that I know and love today ❤
Thankful to God for another beautiful day. Super crushed it! I will put drinking more water and reading in place of snacking in the evening before bed. I've always said "there is no way I can work out in the mornings before everyone gets up"...my busy season in work is now here and I have ZERO time to work out after my work days starts. Today was my first 5:30 am work out. My goal is to keep reminding myself "I can do this AM thing if I just make the commitment". Sydney, you are amazing and I am challenging myself in ways I never have before in workouts.

Loved this Upper Body workout! I injured my right shoulder almost a year ago, and never got it treated. I've been dealing with alternating low-grade to pretty intense pain ever since then. I just got through a couple of weeks of being in intense pain, and so have been mainly working out lower body with weights, and doing some cardio. But I've been feeling much better the past few days, so I did this workout using lighter weights, and it felt pretty good. I liked all of the exercises, I feel like it's been so long since I've worked chest and back in such a focused way. Loved it, Sydney, and love you so much! 💖😙
Upper body workouts are my favorites. I need to invest in a bench and heavier weights. I'm being challenged but I think I can go up a bit more. I crushed it!! Thank you for another awesome workout!!😊🖐🏾

Good afternoon! I crushed our Upper Body Strong workout! I’m thankful for the midpoint pep talk during our workout today. I needed this reminder that there’s no shame in having to lift a lighter weight. My left side is weaker from my right side so I lifted a lighter weight to balance my weight. My arms are sore but I know that I’m stronger today.

Awesome workout! I definitely felt the burn and fatigue in all the right areas 💪!! I took time away from weighted work to focus on mind muscle connection and it proved VERY beneficial. I am much more intune with myself which makes my reps so much more effective. I recommend anyone&everyone to go back to bodyweight basics to really zone in on form & muscle activation 💯
Just gotta say I've been loving the straight sets recently! I feel like I can get the best mind-muscle connection across a straight set because of the consecutive time spent on one move/muscle. You're the best, Sydney! As always, thank you for the amazing workout!
I've recently started doing mobility low impact body workouts before supper (when I get snacky), as well as Yin yoga in the evenings before bed (another snacky time for me) - I really like these changes / new habits I've started incorporating into my day!
Sometimes you give us little notes that are so helpful, like the wrist positioning during the alternating rows. I looked down and that's exactly what I was doing! It's like you're right there in the room giving us tips on improving our form. I subscribe to many channels on RUclips but none so incredibly useful and effective. 🙌
A month behind, but loving these workouts! Today was great and I felt strong. I am going to try to replace my late night snacking and playing on my phone in bed with stretching and meditation.
Another great workout. On the next to last exercise, I sat on the edge of a chair because I had no bench, and it worked great. Thanks for all the options and doing your classes with hand weights since that's what most of us have at home.
I'm already in the process of replacing 10 minutes of wasted time on youtube when I wake up, by at least 10 minutes of yoga. I much better way to start my day and I already feel more productive about it :)

Since started this journey late, I did this workout on Thanksgiving. Last hour of turkey cooking. Proud of getting stronger. Still working on finding a way to get better sleep. Melatonin is not helping so work on no tablet or phone on after lights out.
Eating healthy is what I'll be putting in place of over doing it before Christmas week. Then will enjoy the holiday guilt free :) thank you! I'm able to move those weights like you do now same weight thought not always but goals!
In place of an evening snack, I am going to make sure I’ve had all my water by 7 pm so I’m not mistaking hunger for thirst. Also if it’s just boredom, make sure I have my plan for what I’m eating the next day.
@@amandaczerwieniec3269 yes that is an excellent point! I think my main issue is thinking I’m hungry when I’m actually thirsty. If I’m not bored and still hungry despite drinking all my water, I will definitely have a snack!
Great work out that I thought I would not be able to do as have stitches in palm and along two sides of ring finger of one hand so modified weights in good hand and wrist weights on operated hand.Concentrated on muscle groups involved rather than pushing weights. Also kept off bench in case I fell! Thank you Sydney for keeping me going.

Loved the workout as always! For my area I am working to improve: I stay up late on the couch just screwing around. I will get in bed earlier, and just read in there, to remove the obstacle of the bedtime routine that I tend to put off otherwise. This should help me actually get to sleep earlier. I need to figure out a way to not snack during my conference period for work...that is my weak moment where I just need chocolate or a soft drink to help me get through the day but it really doesn't. Hi! What dumbbells did you use? Is this lesson also for men? I am a guy and did this but it was brutal! I could only manage with 1 lb dumbbells but stopped at around 17 minutes as arms just gave up! :( I feel lost for what to do. I wish I can be so strong and muscular as all the women here!
I'm going to replace my mid day unhealthy snacks with 8 rounds of a happy mantra chanting and 2 stretches! Really need to get out of snacking on crisps! Thank you for the daily dose of motivation @Sydney
Since started this journey late, I did this workout on Thanksgiving. Last hour of turkey cooking. Proud of getting stronger. Still working on finding a way to get better sleep. Melatonin is not helping so work on no tablet or phone on after lights out.
One of my puppies helped out with the single arm chest press. The none working arm was for a puppy belly rub! Great work out. Thank you
Eating healthy is what I'll be putting in place of over doing it before Christmas week. Then will enjoy the holiday guilt free :) thank you! I'm able to move those weights like you do now same weight thought not always but goals!
In place of an evening snack, I am going to make sure I’ve had all my water by 7 pm so I’m not mistaking hunger for thirst. Also if it’s just boredom, make sure I have my plan for what I’m eating the next day.
yes! this is so huge. I have been stopping eating after dinner by 6:30/7PM. It feels great to wakes up with an empty belly. Good work....

Just know if you are hungry it's ok to have a snack. If it's more out of boredom then nothing wrong with replacing it with another activity.
@@amandaczerwieniec3269 yes that is an excellent point! I think my main issue is thinking I’m hungry when I’m actually thirsty. If I’m not bored and still hungry despite drinking all my water, I will definitely have a snack!

Great work out that I thought I would not be able to do as have stitches in palm and along two sides of ring finger of one hand so modified weights in good hand and wrist weights on operated hand.Concentrated on muscle groups involved rather than pushing weights. Also kept off bench in case I fell! Thank you Sydney for keeping me going.

How did you know I needed a 50 minute upper body workout today? This was perfect! I missed your dancing at the end :) And I'm going to try stretching tonight & eating less than I normally would before bed. That's a real struggle for me.

Loved the workout as always! For my area I am working to improve: I stay up late on the couch just screwing around. I will get in bed earlier, and just read in there, to remove the obstacle of the bedtime routine that I tend to put off otherwise. This should help me actually get to sleep earlier. Thanks for everything

Crushed this workout! I need to figure out a way to not snack during my conference period for work...that is my weak moment where I just need chocolate or a soft drink to help me get through the day but it really doesn't. That is my one small specific challenge that I really need to overcome...i just don't know how to overcome it. I will, somehow!!
