I, instead of going to the gargoyle bell guy and repenting for the sin, decided to start over as I made a couple mistakes and could use some tweaking. Started a miracle build and found the "Praise the Sun" Covenant, loving it so far

@@donkmemzz1630 not really, cheesing a boss means killing it in a way that makes the fight look trivial as opposed to getting some OP stuff early on. For example, to cheese Capra you get some firebombs, stand outside of his arena, point at a certain angle with the bow and throw a firebomb, causing him damage without engaging in the actual fight, it takes longer that way but still makes the fight trivial
In all seriousness, I'm reminded that the current edition of D&D actually has a Barbarian subclass devoted to throwing oneself at the enemy while wearing a suit of armor covered in spikes. It's called the Battlerager, a Dwarf-only subclass (albeit only in the Forgotten Realms) from the book Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide. It's obscure, because most people don't go for it and it was never reprinted like some other subclasses from that book. And it could probably use a buff if it ever were, to help it compete with other Barbarian builds. But it's one of the more unique ideas from this edition.
Next challenge, can you beat DS1 with no interaction to any friendly NPC? ( include Solaire, The blacksmiths, Logan,.... ) but the no interaction challenge doesn't include that you can't kill that NPC

There are many reasons I hate DS2 but some of my main reasons are, that adding more enemies isn't a compelling way to increase difficulty, hit boxes shouldn't trigger 6 feet away from the weapon, the map layout made 0 sense compared the to the masterpiece that was DS1 and the boss fights were incredibly uninspired for the most part.
I was messing around with Kirk Armor NG+7 for fun and this is exactly what I have experienced from my testing. The Moonlight Butterfly being unkillable with only Kirk Armor was a surprise to me as I’m sure it was to you. Congrats on doing this man, your dedication and skill is quite impressive :)
This is amazing on so many levels. The patience, the endurance and the pure will not to give up. But something else equally great was the knowledge of the game's mechanics and its items. Knowing which rings to switch, which shields and that deep understanding of how each boss works. Incredible. You should be very proud of this insanity!
i love how for dark souls enemies, getting hit with a stick is more likely to make you stagger than an entire beefy man in full plate spiky armour barrelling into you shoulder first
Been trying this one myself recently (I was doing no Pyromancy as well to spice it up), the runback to O and S was what made me give up lol. Running all the way from Firelink to Anor Londo just to die in five seconds was agony
This is such a tedious challenge and I have really bad anxiety. Watched for about 10 minutes and was having anxiety attacks lmfao. What a challenge! Couldn't even finish the video but threw a like and sub at ya. Its the least I could do after watching you put yourself through that HORROR!!!
Almost as much pain and suffering as those bosses felt being given death by a thousand cuts. Just twenty to forty minutes of being stabbed by metal spikes until you finally succumb.

Challenge idea: boss weapons and armor vs. boss basically, you have to use the weapons and armor related to the boss to fight it on NG+ e.g. Artorias' armor, the abyss greatsword, and the cleansing greatshield are the only things you can use to fight artorias. you have to use the demon great hammer against the asylum demon, etcetera. you don't have to use a specific catalyst if the boss has spells related to it, but you can only use the spells related to it e.g. gravelord sword dance and gravelord greatsword dance against nito
@@ГалущакОлександр For the two you pointed out, Ceaseless doesn't need a weapon to die, and for Centipede, the Demon Firesage is the nearest boss with a weapon associated with it, so the Demon Catalyst can be used for centipede.
@@khirman1 Well, discharge nonetheless needs a few hits before he falls down. And there's also four kings, pinwheel and bed of chaos, none of which have a weapon directly related to them.

I'm so glad you finally managed to push through and complete this one dude! As a total novice soul challenger myself, I have a couple of suggestions for "Easy" runs in case you just want to take a load off. I like doing a style of run where you select only one stat, and up until it is maxed out you may not level up anything else. So far I've only done this in Ds3, but man is it a BLAST to destroy a massive boss in 8 hits in a 99 Strength run. If you want to go straight into another insane however, Ymfah recently did a really interesting "No talking" run, where he had to complete Ds2 without talking to any npc. Meaning no leveling, no estus, no buying, no repairing, no upgrading, no nothing. He is planning on No Talking the series as well it seems, but that's no reason you can't put your hat in the ring as well. If you need any run ideas, he is totally the way to go for great ideas!

I absolutely fell in love with your content from the first dark souls challenge video man! Something like a boss randomizer with the sorcery or miracle only run would be so interesting!

just gonna Say this. if anything will ever get me to learn to play Dark Souls, it's challenge runs. but THIS challenge run might be the one i may never forget if any thusfar. here i am, struggling on a DS2 build to try and just NG with and my issue is I feel so wrong without ranged that most melee builds don't even feel right to me. tried fists AND Spear and i just have issues with melee weapon reaction on reach, which has me trying to make a Crossbow build work instead. and Here YOU are in Ds1 Remastered actually succeeding on so much of the NG+ with armor of frikkin thorns. your effort and tenacity for a task like this blew me away.
I remember being there for all the livestreams. To see all of it culminate into this is pretty dang cool. I'm proud of you son! If ever you're in doubt of yourself and your capabilities, remember that you beat Dark Souls 1 with only the Armor of Thorns

An Italian souls streamer/youtuber, Sabaku, made a run that I found interesting: item randomizer mod, use what you see: if you see an item, you have to go and pick it up, unequip what you had and equip the new one. Not nearly as difficult as this one, but cool and definitely more relaxing, and I bet you need to relax

I want to see an item only run, firebombs, throwing knives, dung pies, etc for damage. For an added challenge no estus, you have to use humanity, divine blessings, etc to heal.

I absolutely fell in love with your content from the first dark souls challenge video man! So happy to see you upping the ante and making a name for yourself as another legend amongst the challenge runners of Dark Souls. Don't be afraid to dip your toe into modded challenges. Something like a boss randomizer with the sorcery or miracle only run would be so interesting!

just gonna Say this. if anything will ever get me to learn to play Dark Souls, it's challenge runs. but THIS challenge run might be the one i may never forget if any thusfar.
here i am, struggling on a DS2 build to try and just NG with and my issue is I feel so wrong without ranged that most melee builds don't even feel right to me. tried fists AND Spear and i just have issues with melee weapon reaction on reach, which has me trying to make a Crossbow build work instead.
and Here YOU are in Ds1 Remastered actually succeeding on so much of the NG+ with armor of frikkin thorns. your effort and tenacity for a task like this blew me away.
I remember being there for all the livestreams. To see all of it culminate into this is pretty dang cool. I'm proud of you son! If ever you're in doubt of yourself and your capabilities, remember that you beat Dark Souls 1 with only the Armor of Thorns

if i remember correctly a lot of bosses have poison immunity-i can’t remember how many but i think its more than the 2-3 in the pyro only run, so idk how good of a video that would be

An Italian souls streamer/youtuber, Sabaku, made a run that I found interesting: item randomizer mod, use what you see: if you see an item, you have to go and pick it up, unequip what you had and equip the new one. Not nearly as difficult as this one, but cool and definitely more relaxing, and I bet you need to relax
