Sonic Unleashed - Wii - Tutorials (Nunchuk Scheme)

- Опубликовано: 21 ноя 2008
- In the Wii version of Sonic Unleashed, there are three different control schemes you can use: The Wii Remote with the Nunchuk attached, the Classic Controller, and the Gamecube controller. I decided to put this up because I already know the Nunchuk will be by far the least popular scheme because of how imprecise it is. Just as how perhaps at least three quarters of Brawl players use the Gamecube controller, I get the feeling the Nunchuk has already been pushed to a tiny minority.
At the tutorials at the beginning of the game, Chip gives different directions on what to do depending on your control scheme. Since so few people would have begun with the Nunchuk, these voice clips will probably never be heard by a lot of people. Not that a lot of people want to hear Chip even more than they have in the story.
The tutorials are mostly unnecessary and some are just stupidly obvious. Doesn't anyone read the manual anymore? Игры
I Play The Game With The Classic Controller.
11/30/21 Update: Nowadays I play the PS2 version.
Yeah it’s easier that way
True
I don't care what advantages the gamepads have, they're great but I'll defend the motion controls eternally. They made perfect sense and were integrated well. Actually felt like you were fighting.
Hey, it's why I switched over to motion steering for Mario Kart Wii and have stuck with that for every racing game I could from there on out.
When sonic drifts it sounds like a car screeching
and then he makes a sound that should belong to the werehog
that true
i acturaly like the werhogs gameplay because it alows you to attak and strech out your arms srue it dosent fit the sonic caracter but its pretty cool
Slasher1562 But him in CGI (not the pre-rendered) Hoo boy way2spooky4me!
The Wii-mote and 'chuck control system seams just fine for this game actually. Which is always a good thing.
The Were-hog bits look really difficulty to control... It may be easier when your in control rather than watching, but he just seamed really slippery when dashing. I wonder how well the game is going to be balanced between normal Sonic and Were-hog Sonic.
dude this game has better music than anything other i've ever played.
I liked very much play with nunchukk and control, so i decided to search a tutorial, and i found this, thank you so much for teach people like me!
Heh, as long aa you have the Nunchuk controls when the tutorials begin, this is what you will see.
@@Overhazard wow, you still anwer the comments
@@kitarmix8129 Why wouldn't I?
@@Overhazard because your video it's quite old
@@kitarmix8129 I don't see any reason for me to abandon the comments on them just because the video's been around for a while. As long as I myself remain active, I see all of the comments.
If I had this game, I would probably play the day stages with the classic controller and the werehog stages with the wii mote and nunchuck
so you have to shake the wii remote to do the homing attack and boost but with the controller the homing attack button and the ump button are the same
Not gonna lie. Dashing as the Werehog was so hard.
it was easy, just double tap the analog stick
@@aahiljcat What on earth is an analogue stick? No analogue stick on my stick controller or nunchuk!!!
I don’t understand why didn’t they explain that in game
It seems fitting because the shaking would be like one leg moving fast.
I played it with a wii nunchucks and I had fun and never had a problem
Wow...well...I am trying to play through Sonic Unleashed but I am struggling at the night stages here. This video is going to help me out.
I literally I just cant do the part where I have to do a "mid dash" It annoys the heck out of me I think I have reason to be mad at the game why'd they have to make it so hard.........japanese make the hardest of all games!!!!!!!!!!! and thats not an exaggeration wait is SEGA a japanese company? I just realized its Nintendo but is sega?
now I know i'll try it now!!
still annoying!!! haha aahhh.......
Well, just play it with a gcn controller or play it on dolphin, it is HD on the emulator!
How to do the dash
I've been trying to but no success
Just a quick question: how do you do unleashed mode with wiimote and nunchuck?
i want this game for christmas
Beat-em-up... Were-hog style. Now that's what I like.
This looks awsome! If I choose to play this game, i'll try the nunchuk option.
Chip is unleashed omacho.
does the werehog control well?
these were just basic movements, and i dont want the werehog to suck
In were-hog on wiiu using stick controller and nunchuk, we are unable to DASH. Does anybody have any tips or instructions as the ones we are given are simply not working. We have tried over twenty times and have reached the end of our tether.
The Werehog dashes by pointing the control stick in the direction you want twice. That is push the stick in that direction, then quickly bring it back to neutral and quickly hold the same direction to get him to run. If you've played any of the Smash Bros. games, it works in the same way as characters in these games dash.
Am I the only one here who loves this style of gameplay?
Nope i to love the Wii Remote
i dont know witch to get spiderman web of shadows wii or this but i can only get 1
this game looks right.
I still don't get why they gave Werehog stretchy arms.
Or why it's in the game at all.
how do you dash and mid-dash on ps2? (night theme) can you show through controls?
+Otaku-chaaan X3 While I don't have the PS2 version so I can't say for sure, on the Wii version, you dash as the werehog by double-tapping in the direction you want to go.
+Overhazard oh but thx anyway I'll try figure out how to by myself then or ask my brother but thx anyway for replying! :)
throughg out this game do u learn more attacks and stuff.
@Overhazard I would play for score back then as well, but today it just seem all Sonic games are record time based, excluding Sonic Colors. But this is one game where I like to just dash through :S, motion controls don't really help me there :/
@Overhazard You probably haven't beaten any record times using the Nunchuck scheme too. The Nunchuck scheme is horrible if you're a precision Sonic player. Probably alright if you're a casual one. I mean, shaking to boost...WHAT? Why the hell couldn't it have been the down arrow. Metroid Prime 3 doesn't shake to shoot missles...it uses the down arrow. and using L or R to sidestep (Gamecube) is also easier than leaning to one side and pressing B. (Wiimote)
after the 16 bit era sonic games werent good hoepfully sega becomes a good company like they were back in the day but boy this was an epic win for sega
how do you do a dash
Does anyone know how to clear the eathshaker mission cos I can't pull the move off
Which control scheme are you using?
Overhazard
Doesn’t matter now as I cleared it yesterday. I wasn’t using the correct button scheme on the Classic Controller
How do you even craw
I love the Wii Remote
no u can actually move him around slow him down/ speed him up etc u can even stop him if u want
How do you dash the werehog????? I don't know how to dash through freaking werehog
gael campos Tap in the direction you want the Werehog to go, then hold it down. It's a lot like dashing in the Kirby games.
@Overhazard it's alot harder than looks.
The one thing I hate about sonic unleashed on the wii is chip because how does he know any of this stuff they should of used omochao or a question mark.
@kyedaman tilting the analog stick to one side*
Oh, man. Looking back at my comments 2 years later makes me resent myself. Sure the control scheme was bad but I could have found better ways to say it instead of raging like a RUclips child. However, to each their own, if people manage to use the Wiimote, good for them. I preferred the GC controller because I've always been a fan of buttons on controllers rather than motion.
I dunno why everyone seems to hate motion controls so much. They aren’t that bad. I mean sure it can get a bit tiring after awhile but you can take breaks if ya want and this game even asks you if you wanna stop playing after every mission
How to use with mid dash classic controller from moon stage
I don't know what you're talking about except "classic controller," which I never got, so I can't help you on that.
I never finished this game thats one reason to hate it because there was a part that didn't include parkour or anything like that. instead it included a mystery and the game didnt tell me what to do next and I thought I completed everything that was back then when I left it at 13 years old now im 18 so I know I can pass it back then I was better at motion but I just want to complete something I couldnt pass because my 13 year old brain couldnt figure out what ill do the same with the old super smash bros very hard and once I find out the puzzle it will astonish me as ive never been past that part of the game.
Which part?
OH MY FCKING GOD. I've been playing this game, since it came out, with the GC controller. Unfortunately I lost it and just tried playing again with the Wiimote. WORST. CONTROLS. EVER. Would it have been easy to Action chain with the JUMP BUTTON like EVERY OTHER (homing ability) SONIC GAME!? Yes. But, for some god-forsaken reason, Sega doesn't want it like that. Don't even get me started on Boosting. -Shake...shake shake shake shake SHAKE!!!!- No boost > 2 seconds later he ring dashes. gg Sega.
It's like in the WII port of Spongebob Squarepants Creature From the Krusty Krab.
@@chrisopps6936 A little late, dont you think XDDDD
jk bro not hating just saying
OH MY GOOOOOOOODDDD I HATE YOU BECAUSE YOU HATE THIS GAME
I REALLY HATE YOU
I ALSO DISLIKED YOUR COMMENT AND NO THE FIRST BAD SONIC GANE WAS SONIC ADVENTURE BECAUSE OF PERFECT CHAOS
2020?
This is how you do it, look at the circle on the nunchuck, push it in any direction twice and then move to run.
Thanks
I miss my GC controller. The control stick just won't work anymore. I don't like how motion controls were used here - too abusive and unpolished in my opinion. I want to keep playing this on my Wii, but I cannot stand it.
What about a Wii Pro Controller? (Granted, I don't have any Wii controllers wxcept Wii Remotes and Nunchuks.)
Why your sonic unleashed is way more colorful than it actually is?
y is sonic looks like a beast at night :S
And I played it with the GameCube controller
Press the A button to jump... I so didn't see that coming XD. Thank god its not Omochao saying it this time.
How can I do a mid dash I’m stuck on a mission on the wii
Shake the Wii Remote. You'll need at least one segment of the boost gauge ready, and Sonic can't already be in a dash or an automated movement.
@@Overhazardstill responding to comments :0
What do you press and make him run like this?
Up on the control stick.
i still cant decide whether to get it for wii or 360
xbox 360 for win.
Troy D Arsewhooper wii is highest scored
I remember using the Wii Remote and nunchuck for this game. All those who said that the PS3 and XBox 360 version is harder, do this version here with the Wii Remote and nunchuck! THEN start flexing!
I did this with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, and I still feel the PS3/Xbox 360 version was a lot harder.
Of course, the Wii Remote's motion controls were and still are second-nature to me. They feel very natural. Consequently, I played Mario Kart Wii only with the Wii Wheel, for instance. I still compete in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe competitions with motion steering.
@@Overhazard I will forever be jealous of you. Because I don't have that kind of luxury. I mean, it's reverse for me because I HATE motion controls. Well... There are exceptions. Like Sonic Riders Zero Gravity
@@SunDropVT It's not a luxury, it's a skill I dedicated myself to learning. I cut my teeth on Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz (the original one), a game in which you have to make it second-nature, or you're not getting past one-fifth of the way through. (And because of that game, the ball missions in Super Mario Galaxy 2 were incredibly easy for me.)
Though I play almost entirely motion steering with racing games (which is why I passed on Team Sonic Racing and Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled), oddly, Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity is one of the few racing games on the Wii where I used traditional steering, as it didn't feel natural to me.
Play the eggmanland (ps3/xbox) with the wii remote. You will die twice in real life
Great game
How do you make him run as he a werehog? He's always walking on my side .__.
tap the joystick forwards twice to run
The classic controller makes everything easier. I did that as a kid and it works better
It's really up to the player. I preferred playing this game with the Nunchuk scheme.
@@Overhazard I actually played with all 3 control schemes as a kid. I played with the Nunchuk the most
@ShadowPenguinPro me too im gonna buy a wii and buy this game after i get it
So wait, with the controls in this version, does that explain why some people prefer the Xbox and PS3 versions?
Perhaps. Most of the reasons behind preference of the Xbox 360 and PS3 version is because of the mechanics and stage design, however. Bear in mind that most people consider the Wii and PS2 versions of Sonic Unleashed as a single entity. Rarely do you hear them separately, meaning the controls are an issue only for small amounts of people.
I never really minded the Nunchuk controls for the Wii version of Sonic Unleashed much, for the record. Check out some of my other Wii game footage, and you'll see that I pretty much took to the Wii's motion controls like a fish to water. I still play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Switch only with motion controls.
Overhazard You have a Nintendo Switch? And Mario Kart 8 Deluxe? Wow!
Well, take a look at the most recent videos I have. They're all on the Switch.
Okay Overhazard.
i wish brawl looked more like this game lol
So can you actually control where Sonic walks or does he move on his own like in Sonic and the Secret Rings?
REALLY?! I CAN PRESS THE JUMP BUTTON TWICE TO DO A DOUBLE JUMP?! WHAT IS THIS WITCHCRAFT?!
can you still homing attack with A?
On the Wii version? Not to my knowledge.
The homing attack button is the same as the jump button on the wii/ps2 version
hey man I know exactly what you'r goin trough I ended up get'in web of shadow's
man help i cant drift and i cant pass the tutorial please help me
Are you using the Nunchuk scheme, like I did here?
@@Overhazard ._. ok i Will try thanks
i tried the nunchuk scheme and the other two what do i do?
Just follow the instructions onscreen and as Chip tells you.
can someone plz direct me in how to do it
How to do what?
i didnt like playing this game with the wii remote and nunchuk, i liked it with the classic controller and the gamecube controller
Many others did. That's a major part of why I put this video up. I personally preferred it with the Nunchuk scheme though, just as I always played Mario Kart Wii (and all subsequent home console Mario Kart games) with the motion steering.
@@Overhazardi respect your opinion on that.when i first got this game i was pretty much forced to use the motion controls, later on i got a gamecube controller and made it fun. Plus my nunchuk was being a douche at the time
do..do you really have it ALREADY!!! O_0
Yes
how do u dash
Michelle Niyazov shake the wii remote
Nahzir Gadson
I think he means the werehog
What? No follow-up Sonic tutorials?
Follow-ups for what?
The light speed dash and stomp
And the other werehog combos
“Does anyone read manuals anymore?” No, mainly cause they don’t print manuals anymore. Sad really

its better wii cause you dont have to just press buttons, you can also move the wii remote and nunchuk to make some moves!
The PS3 version has been delayed to December.
yem
wow i was so wrong of this game the voice acting is incredible for the first time sega did something good with a sonic game to bad they had to wait 10 + years for sega to make a really good sonic game ill get it next year on my bday since im buying other games but about the nunchuk when it comes to mkw the nunchuk and wii remote are really good and it's ok when used in brawl
Nearly no one reads manuals anymore unfortunately. It's quite bad for games like ToS2, in which the manual actually explains a lot. You see a good 10+ topics a day asking for help on something that is fully explained on the manual on GameFAQs.
I actually like the Wii-mote and 'chuck as far as a controller goes. I find it to be the best option for Mario Kart Wii actually. Only reason I use a GCN for Brawl is because it feels more comfortable to me. In the end, I just go with what feels right.
lol car
