    I just received 4 medium and small maricultured colonies from Biota. They're infested with flatworms. I even dipped when they arrived and they still have them. Going to repeat the dip again today as I've on had them a few days. This video was perfect timing. Thank you for the video and you did a great job. The reefing community accepts you with open arms as we're all family. Keep up the videos, you're a natural.

    Potassium chloride do a very good job also.
    30 gram mix with 5 liter water.
    Lps only dip for 5 to 10 min max.
    Sps can dip up to 20 to 30 min.

    Very interesting and educational! I just have one question. Shouldn't you wear gloves when handling solutions to kill parasites on corals? - Ramon 🇲🇽

    • @ReefBuildersVideo
      @ReefBuildersVideo  Год назад +1

      The solution we are using is derived from plants so it isn’t harsh. But wearing PPE for most aquarium work is always advised if you are unsure.

    With a tank this size with so many sps. Is it safe to say that all these regular dipping is just going to keep the aefw population in check instead of hoping to completely eradicating them?

    Its high time a genuine in tank treatment is developed for AEFW. If the industry is serious about this hobbies survival then they would put up the money to develop a drug or something that will wipe these things out without harming the tank. AEFW are the single worst pest in the hobby and they are literally destroying the hobby.
