7/6/24 EDIT: People are mostly commenting the same few redundant things on this video now, so I figured I'd respond to them somewhere and also give my thoughts on some recent developments in the max mode world.
No, I did not forget to rank anything or mention any strategies. Watch the criteria at the beginning of the video again if you're wondering why I didn't rank something. Self-imposed challenges aren't considered. Pre-patch challenges aren't considered. Mods/fangames aren't considered. Challenges that don't grant any reward aren't considered. Certain glitchy, majorly unintended strategies aren't considered. The plan was always to only rank 1 mode each from 1-HW.
This video was mostly made in November 2023, and obviously doesn't consider any info that was found after that. I know about Minus 7, I know Bones has been doing crazy challenges with these games, I know there's been a few other developments here and there. Close friends of mine are still active in the max mode community, I generally hear this news pretty quickly, and I think it's really cool. I don't have a time machine to add them in the video, nor do I think I would even change much since the strategy criteria I used would have disregarded most of these discoveries.
There is no "erm actually" or "ha gotcha" to be found here, please stop trying and just try to enjoy this video for what it is lol. This was always intended as an accessible, entertaining way for people outside the max mode community to get a rough idea of how challenging the hardest difficulty is in each mainline game, nothing more. I am thrilled by the support on the video though and appreciate that people are still watching it so often 7 months later! I'm working on another very long video essay right now and hope to have that ready relatively soon, thanks for your patience in the meantime.
    ORIGINAL COMMENT:
Hey all, hope you enjoyed this one! Just thought I'd make a few clarifications and give some credit where I forgot to in the video real quick.
This list was mostly made from memory, as I hadn't beaten some of these in over a year at the time I decided on the ranking. This was intentional, because I didn't want recent completions to cloud my overall experience with them. While I'm mostly happy with this ranking, after rebeating them all on last week's stream, I would probably adjust a few things (e.g swapping 4/20 and Saturday) so take that as you will. A few of these modes are nearly tied IMO.
While I mentioned the Max Mode List at the end of the video, I used quite different parameters and this ranking shouldn't be compared to the main series' placements on there. This was made for fun, content, and to be more accessible to general audiences and those in my community who may not be involved in the pro scene. The MML is very useful for scaling difficulty, but since I only focused on the official series in this video, I wanted to use my own rules and make it a bit more straightforward.
Although this is mostly based on my own experience with the franchise, I made sure to take the general consensus into account, and I had a lot of help from a friend of mine and seasoned veteran of the games, insstaa, when deciding on the placements. Huge shoutout to him, he's linked in the description and you should subscribe if you liked this video. Also massive thanks to another friend of mine, Grace, for creating the thumbnail, it saved me a lot of time when uploading.
Lastly, I somehow forgot to credit the channel members at the end of the video, probably because I was so caught up in double-checking the editing I'd already done, so I'll shout them out here and in the description. Thanks to SirFiftyFive, butters, Alfonzo, DARESTDEVIL, Mister Matt, Lefty, B Berk, and Kevin O'Donnell for supporting the channel, sorry I forgot to mention you in the video proper!
Thanks for watching, more FNaF content is on the way soon.

I completely agree with almost all of these ratings. I believe that while FNAF 10/20 is probably the most difficult to finish due to it's inconsistency, 50/20 is something on a different level. The sheer amount going on is enough to confuse even intermediate players, and it's so easy to lose track of what's going on. Also, on another note, I actually find corn maze to be really annoying due to colorblindness, and messing myself up xD Great video, I look forward to future content. something i'm noticing about these challenges is that, most of them are hard not because of the skill required, but because they're overwhelming, unfair, or nearly impossible without cheesing
and as someone currently _making_ a fnaf fangame, and currently making an extra challenge that's more similar to the more classic sit-and-survive gameplay, that's especially noteworthy to me
hopefully, i'll get it right and strike a gameplay loop that requires skill and adaptability, without it being just praying to rngesus

From my personal experience (and as someone who has beat both challenges), I still believe that FNAF 2 10/20 is harder than 50/20 mode. It's just that the RNG in 10/20 is so much worse to me than the RNG 50/20 throws my way. Toy Bonnie sucks on 10/20 and I consistently died to him more than Toy Freddy in UCN. However, great video regardless!^^

Oh yeah, I'd say 10/20 is probably worse RNG-wise even with the best strats, never mind if you're just using basic right vent camp. The main reason I ranked 50/20 higher is purely because of the learning curve. You can figure out what happens in 10/20 within a few attempts, it takes hours of 50/20 to be able to process everything correctly without getting overwhelmed or confused.

Also, Phantom BB cannot spawn în those cams so that checks out

I remember beating 20/20/20/20 back in 2016 using the right-door strategy, which I got from Markiplier's video, and boy was it a nightmare, Foxy misbehaving, Freddy being a douche during the blackout, only to then discover there was a much more efficient strategy down the line.
If we go by the FNaF 4 challenges, then yeah, it would be much higher. Otherwise Night 8 is one of the easier ones in my opinion.
SL being skill-based would be the main reason why it's lower on my list. I beat it back in 2017 thanks to Markiplier's video, where he said that despite it looking so daunting, it's really not that bad, and he was correct.
Anyone who says FNaF 3's the easiest game must not have gotten very far (like what you said about people who rank FNaF 2 being so high). First night must've deceived them
I am one of those people who finds 50/20 easier than Golden Freddy mode. I know there's a steep learning curve and there's so much to remember, practice, and keep track of, but one you get past that and eventually beat it, which I did in 2020 thanks to Dawko and DJ Sterf, it's honestly kinda fun (wanting to replay it after beating 50/20 once? you and me both brother). That's the main difference between 50/20 and Golden Freddy mode, 50/20 is actually decently fun
FNaF 2's mode on the other hand is agonising torture. I'm actually baffled by how many people consider it the best, 10/20 is the reason I can't bring myself to love it as much as everyone else. Foxy's trigger-happy ass, Toy Bonnie essentially kicking you out of your seat and beating you to death with a rusty crowbar. It's ironic it's called "Golden Freddy" mode when G. Freddy himself is about as menacing as a puppy taking a nap. His jankiness in the hallway, my advice is to just stop flashing the moment you catch sight of him

For anyone wondering, here's how I (relatively easily) beat Aggressive Nightmare mode.
    1. Keep Springtrap at cam 1. (Or 12? Whatever the farthest one is, I don't remember.) You'll obviously want to keep the adjacent vent sealed at all times, and if RNGesus is as good to you as he was to me, good ol' Billy will try to climb through it multiple times.
    2. Something to keep in mind is that, unless Mangle shows up, your audio systems will ALWAYS go out every TWO (2) uses. Audio will ALWAYS be your priority when rebooting systems. Let me give you a play-by-play.
[Audio, Video, and Ventilation are all out. You reboot the audio, and immediately play a lure. Go back to control, reboot ventilation. Go back to cams, play another lure. Go back to control, reboot audio. Go back to cams, play another lure. Go back to control, reboot video. Go back to cams, play another lure. Go back to control, reboot audio.
    3. Play an audio lure every chance you get. Don't wait for Springtrap to leave the camera, keep playing them as soon as the recharge is finished. Keep track, too, because the *moment* you play that second one, you need to flip the camera down, go over to the control panel, and start a reboot.
Repeat this for the whole night, and you should be golden. Of course, it's still a bit reliant on rng, but that's the case with any FNaF night.
    Good luck out there.

    • @serdnALof
      @serdnALof 11 месяцев назад +4

I disagree in almost everything, here's my strat:
      1. Always seal vents.
      2. If Springtrap is on 9:
Seal 11 and wait him on 10. If you hear footsteps but don't see Springtrap on 9, that means that he moved to 8.
      3. If Springtrap is on 10:
Seal 14 and spam on 10, when he moves do what we talked about in point 3.
      4. If Springtrap is not in 10 or 9, you will be always spamming the monitor at 9 while having 12 sealed.
      5. If the danger sound plays, check for Freddy:
      a) If Freddy is walking, check if Springtrap is on 5. If he is, play an audio on 8.
      b) If Freddy isn't walking, inmediately go to 8 and play an audio.
      6. If Springtrap reaches 2, then seal 15 and wait until he goes to 5 and play an audio on 8.
      7. If Springtrap is in front of you, play an audio on 2 as fast as you can.
      7. If you want to reboot video, you need to do it right after playing an audio lure, same with audio.
      8. Always reboot 1 error at a time unless it is an absolute emergency and prioritize audio over video.
My skills for explaining and English are not the best, sorry if I make a mistake.

I’ve done 10/20 mode but found aggressive nightmare mode to be incredibly difficult (tried for weeks and couldn’t get it despite following strats, maybe I’m just bad or got really unlucky lol). You can get very unlucky with the phantoms. Keep springtrap in cam 10 as much as possible with the vent sealed. When springtrap leaves that room lure him back. After each audio lure reboot it. Every 2-3 times reboot the ventilation instead and repeat this process. Only reboot the cameras if they go out and you know you have time to do so. Like I said you can get pretty unlucky with the phantoms and springtraps ai but this strategy is what I have used many times and it works well if you can get into a good rhythm.

From my experiences with defeating the first 5 games, I find Blind All Nightmare Nightmare mode to be the hardest. Blind Mad Freddy Insta-Foxy mode is still consistent for me until it gets to 4 AM of course. For Golden Freddy mode, I just use the regular strat. It’s easy, it’s just luck based. I will probably defeat it the least in my lifetime, but to gauge the difficulty off of rng when you can still win is unfair, so it gets second place for me. I got it in 3 hours when I first beat it, while Blind All Nightmare Nightmare mode took me around 8. 10/20 mode was pretty easy when I got used to it, which didn’t take long. 4/20 mode is harder than Aggressive Nightmare mode if you aren’t camstalling.

21:24 This is so very true. I got a big big love for 10/20 SL in my heart since I beat it myself this summer. Its my favorite costum night in the whole series ngl. At first overwhelming but its so damn fun, a nice layout, nice characters and mechanics (excludes electrobab lol screw ya)...I can only speak of the Nintendo Switch version, on pc without the Bonnet vent
closing glitch it must be even more fun
I disagree with Fnaf 2 theven
cause its total S for me and I am an 10/20 winner on Switch (right vent strat back then) 😂 I don't even know why I love fnaf 2 so much, the rng factor is total trash but it never bothered me that much - but Foxy. Screw Foxy in almost every game. Seriously. Toy Bonny was okay with me most of the time I guess when playing efficient with the music box his rng isn't THAT bad (feel free to throw stones at me). But you are right, it isn't consistent. Its a mix out of skill and rng
Agreeing with 50/20 here btw. I beat this mode 2 times this summer, never thought i could do that but you teached me cause of your guides (same with thr other modes). Got a huge love for 50/20 since then and unlike the other max modes i can get back into pretty quickly. But heck it took me hours to even get settled coin farming and deathcoining. Oh boy. Me and XOR agreed on our dates at 21secs most of the time. 50/20 is very fun with its much mechanics and vent resets are pretty much adrenaline - I needed over 8 hours to get past the deathcoin sequence. I needed even more hours to progress. When I was finished with 50/20 mode first win (included learnijg every lower mode beforehand like 49/20 e.g.) my ingame clock on Switch hit 60 (or 70?) hours. When I rebeat it on Ps5 it took me only 7 hours. Its nuts how you can learn stuff like this

When I began beating the Max Modes back in 2020, I personaly loved the FNaF 1 4/20 and FNaF 3 NAO because I was forced to create completely new strategies because the animatronics moved extremely fast.
In FNaF 1, my strategy for the first six nights was to check both doors, open the camera and look at cams 1A and 1C, to make both freddy and foxy stay still. However, because freddy moves so fast, that stopped working because he goes to 4B in seconds, and then I was challenged to learn more about the animatronics' mechanics, eventually discovering cam stalling.
In FNaF 3, I was used to lure Springtrap to cams 9 and 10, but because the Agressive cheat makes him move twice as fast, he started to enter the vents 11 and 14 and then into the office while I was rebooting the audio/cam system. Then, during my research, I discovered that you don't need to use the audio all the time (only when the he is on cams 5 or below), and that I could use the "danger" noise to know where he is when the video stopped working.
I love the Max Modes not because of the skill that is required, but because of the thinking process behind it.

Then I went on to try fnaf 2s hardest difficulty, and it took me over 24 hours worth of attempts, even with a full understanding of the game mechanics, delaying foxy with blackouts, keeping things on a 10 second interval, etc. I guess I was just really unlucky that I didn’t get it sooner but god damn I never want to do that again. I finally completed at least though. Because of that though, I’m probably never going to attempt any of the other hardest difficulty’s in fnaf, even though they are mostly easier.

This is a pretty good ranking that goes well into what gives it the difficulty it is and why it's in that spot
FNAF 6 is rng, but the night is really short and for the most part you just have to die a few times until it works, and it doesn't feel punishing enough (which is why i don't like it at all)
FNAF 1 is pretty balanced to learn, the worst thing is that it hurts your wrist
FNAF VR i don't have much experience, but it seems to take some rng and a moderate understanding of the level
FNAF 3 is ai dependent, but if it goes well it's not too bad
FNAF 4 does need preparation and a strategy in mind, but you can figure it out without too much time
SL is what a max mode custom night should be. Great gameplay design and when someone can learn it, is pretty fun
FNAF 2 coming from someone who has beaten it, the main reason it is lower is because it doesn't take too long to learn. The "bad" part is the rng has to line up, which if you keep going without stopping, eventually it will
UCN needs preparation, a strategy, and both rng and skill are a great factor of it. This is the only one i never attempted simply not just because of the difficulty and how long it would take to beat it, but also the additional countless hours i would have to take learning it

After 100%ing FNAF 1 - 6 [All hardest nights done], I can say without a doubt that Sister Location 10/20 has given me the most trouble by far! Sister Location took me over 100 attempts for a week before I barely won at 1% power, Lolbit, Bonnet, and Yenndo completely screwed me over and I had to rely on seeing Yenndos ear on the top right of my screen in order complete it (It's very visible and costs some extra power depending on reaction, making it much easier to deal with Bonnet and Lolbit as Yenndo is no longer a factor to react to (My reaction time is not good for Yenndo RNG as I've been screwed over by flipping twice and getting trolled)), I got stonewalled by UCN 50/20 after grinding for a while however, so I haven't gone further.
I was able to first try FNAF 1s 4/20, and, surprisingly enough, FNAF 2s 10/20 after studying DJ Sterf's right vent camp strategy video, I didn't use any other strategies as I didn't understand the intervals very well and just relied on eyeballing the music box most of the night, if anybody is struggling with FNAF 2s 10/20, I HIGHLY recommend it as I never seriously attempted 10/20 until I watched that video and replayed the entire game just to 100% all the custom night challenges.
I honestly found Saturday to be way more challenging than FNAF 1 (Easier than FNAF 3 though), as I can consistently beat 4/20 99% of the time I want to show somebody the strategy, compared to Saturday, which takes me quite a bit of time in comparison, I used the silent vent strategy however so that may be my bias talking, BUT I can agree since I'd honestly say the Markiplier strategy is top 3 in terms of challenge because of how baffling hard it is to make it work.
FNAF 4 has my FAVORITE max modes, as it was very fun to beat all the challenges as I found it to be the perfect balance of luck and skill in the series, I think Blind + All Nightmare is harder than any other mode in FNAF 4 personally, I can beat Blind + All Nightmare more consistently now, but when I was attempting it, I felt like I was fighting against the game AND the RNG in my case as I was having a hard time with clicking things along with the difficulty of fake laughs (Nightmare can only laugh a certain amount of times! EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO KNOW).
I still found your reasons very reasonable, so this was a great video! 50/20 guide videos are always confusing to me so I hope to try yours in the future as you helped me a lot with the other modes starting from FNAF 3 (Biggest reason I stopped at UCN).

How to beat TJOC: SM, bedroom. I did this because ambience mainly focuses on the main games and not fan games but I don’t blame him for that as I think it is important to go over the main games first.
So here is the strategy i used to beat TJOC bedroom level
    Mechanics:
So the mechanics are already in the start of the night as Michael explains it to you but I will recap on them
Freddy: he comes through the window and if you see him looking at you, close the curtains. While doing so I would recommend turning off the light so chica doesn’t jumpscare you
Bonnie: he comes through the door and if he is there then turn off the light and sit
Chica: She comes through the closet and if you hear a low pitched creaking sound and no knock, then turn off the light and do not pretend to sleep or you will get jumpscared and stunned
Foxy: you will hear scraping then afterwards a hook on your crib. When you see it, pretend to sleep. It is also recommended to turn off the light so Bonnie doesn’t kill you. Chica can jumpscare you and stun you though if u pretend to
Sanity: you have a sanity meter and if it goes down then your light near the door goes from green, to yellow, to red, then your screen will shake, you hear your heart beating, then you will start seeing weird things and blood from the ceiling. If you run out of sanity, you die.
    Strategy:
Turn on the lamp and always look at it. Check the window often and you will hear a sound when Freddy appears, if he is there and looking at you, close the curtains but I recommend turning off the light so chica can’t get you. Freddy will make a sound when he leaves. If he is there but not looking at you, pay more attention to him but don’t try looking directly at him. Keep looking at the lamp and if you hear a knock then bonnie isn’t at the door but is going to enter soon but if you hear a knock then creaking, then turn off the light and sit. I’m pretty sure that animatronics in TJOC can’t attack at the same time other than chica who can attack with more animatronics at once. Then there is chica so if you hear low creaking then turn off the light. I explained how foxy works in the mechanics section but some extra things is that after he puts his hook on the bed soon enough he will be right next to you and if you look directly at him he jumpscares you. He will make a sort of sniffing sound when he leaves after you close your eyes.
You can real quick turn back and check how low on sanity you are also don’t look at the animatronics directly like Freddy if he is at the window. Bonnie if he is at the door. Chica if she is at the closet.
Or foxy if he is right next to you on your bed.
So mainly look at your lamp at all times and keep it on if you can unless of course Bonnie or chica is there.
And that’s how I beat TJOC SM, the bedroom level
I will tell how to beat living room in tjoc if this comment gets 5 likes

      What strategy ?

    • @rhysburns5420
      @rhysburns5420 Год назад +3

@@Think_mate_lol At first you will want to pick a room to try and keep springtrap in (preferably this will be cam 8, 9 and 10) and seal the connected vent. Once you have selected the room make sure you follow this flow
      play audio
      reboot audio
      play audio
      reboot audio
Do this around 2-3 time and reboot the ventilation instead. any free time you have should be spent rebooting. This strategy would work for the whole night on any other night but since it's aggressive mode there a little more to it. Like ambience mentioned you will need to let springtrap roam around a little bit. This is where listening to the audio ques is key. You won't really see springtrap on the cameras much especially later in the night. I would say Cam 5 is a good place to try and keep him as once he gets passed there he is probably not going further back unless you are pretty fast. If he is outside your door you are pretty much dead. If you get jump scared by a phantom you are pretty much dead so avoided them is key. You can get pretty unlucky with the phantoms and springtrap as well so keep that in mind. Just make sure you are always listening out for the audio ques and always have the connected bent sealed if there is one. so basically the only real strategy is to keep him at bay at the start for as long as possible. Like I I said this works really well for casual nightmare mode so all you have to do is be faster and listen carefully. I have tried this on aggressive mode and have beaten it a few times.

but now i started getting into them and honestly, they are pretty fun, not necessarily talking about the FNAF games but the fan games, i think it's fun to try your best and beat the hardest challenge in a game to master it and to talk with people about it and learn from each other mistakes, i can beat Fnaf 1 4/20 multiple times now compared to how i spend hours trying to do it on my first time playing it, you will finally learn how to beat the challenge and thats the best past about it.
Ill definitely use this and other of your videos to help me beat harder challenges 👍
(also i beat FNAF 2 multiple times and i still think it's S tier 🙃)

I thank god every day people eventually dug into the Fnaf1 code and figured out how Freddy and Foxy worked, because I’ve tried to beat 4/20 mode with the old strategy and it was torturous. I got it in less than 40 mins with the current strategy.

I have two questions 1. Why is the -3 strat called the -3 strat? From how it works it should be called the double camera glitch.
    2. What is the Springtrap Infinite?

    • @mapytrix3982
      @mapytrix3982 11 месяцев назад +1

Can only answer the first one, it's called -3 because by glitching the camera so you're technically looking at the prize counter and parts & service, you prevent 3 animatronics from moving. Withered Freddy, Withered Bonnie and Withered Chica apparently cannot leave parts & service if you're viewing that camera. By making the game think you're viewing that camera while you're actually on the prize counter one, you remove these 3 animatronics from the night, hence -3

25:21 - I would probably put FNaF 2 low on a tier list too, but not because of that, I would because this game made me click my keyboard's Ctrl key so much because of Foxy that it is now totally janky and makes a weird sound when I press it, lol.

First off, I just wanna say this video was very entertaining! But as soon as I heard mention of the challenge list and visiting the website, it made me wonder if whoever made the website is a fan of Geometry Dash as well, as the GD Demon List has a near identical layout. It was strange to see such a specific similarity between two niche communities that both involve players pushing themselves to their limits

I just noticed the video for #141 on the main list is quite literally a reference to a GD level, didn't expect there to be this level of overlap between the two communities

4:42 I KNEW IT! After watching the Fnaf 6 guide I really was uncomfortable with the regular strat cause it stressed me out to turn computer on, off, switch sides e.g. Did I die a few times on Completion and Blacklisted because of Rngjesus? Hell yea. Was it stressy? Not quite. Placing lure, pray and shine into other vent is idiot save! 🎉😂

As a kid I used to play FNAF 2 all the time on phone and in the playground it was always the coolest thing when someone beat Custom Night at max so on a road trip I started grinding it and then on one run I got lucky and managed to clutch it out.
    Still my best gaming achivement

Completely unrelated, but I REALLY look forward to your video on FNaF 2. The only games I consistently see people trash are 3, SL, and Special Delivery.
I mean that positively, by the way. I am genuinely excited to see a different perspective on the game, even if it changes my own view of the game for the worse.
I like the game a ton, but that's because I don't count the custom night as a major part of it, enjoy the lore, and the fact it might genuinely be the single most nostalgic game to me.

TLDR: only the first hour of 50/20 is hard and you can exploit over half the cast, making the challenge easy. Assuming that you arent going from a high score of 0 to 10600.
Personally i think fnaf 2's 10/20 is significantly harder than 50/20.
The only difficult part of 50/20 is the first hour. After that almost every single character can be exploited and you're only vulnerable 4 other times during the night. But if you actually build up to 50/20 like the game is designed to make you do, (using the cutscenes to show progress) those last 5 hours are basically just 49/20.

I feel conflicted about Fnaf 4. Since the rules are about earning rewards, isn’t earning all the small stars the ultimate challenge. My memory might be wrong but wouldn’t that mean that the bottom text about hating blind mode is purely emotional (hate it too but technically there should be a small star award.

I feel like the only reason Golden Freddy (not the withered one), Withered Freddy, Withered Foxy, Phantom Foxy, Phantom Puppet and every other missing animatronics I am too lazy to bring up aren't in UCN is because 50/20 was enough.
