    Thursday arrived early 😂
I really enjoyed seeing more green and yellow in this video! idk why but last video felt like it had less green - maybe I just needed to touch grass haha
processing experiences, managing challenges, and creating a comfortable stability
this feels like a very personal video - thanks for demonstrating and sharing connection! ✨

Hehehe, happy double Thursday😆 Did you enjoy the weekend?
The art therapy concept is kind of personal, so it's no surprise you feel that way! But yeah, I don’t mind sharing, I’m just one human in this vast universe, lol.
I’m really happy to hear that you felt relaxed. Surprisingly, I realized that I enjoy doing this more than making career-related videos.
After 40 videos, I’ve finally found the direction I want to go in, and I’m so excited!
I’m thinking of starting a Thursday night art studio series, where we can relax in pajamas with some tea starting this week, haha🌜

I wasn't expecting a video yet! What a lovely surprise! It's a very healthy thing to think and reflect in creative ways like you have with your bridge painting (which is lovely, by the way!) Transitions can be challenging.... but also, that is how we grow. I liked your stories... putting things in perspective and... being able to gift your art to your family- how wonderful! Thank you for sharing this therapeutic evening with us!

Hehe, double Thursday! 😄 I think I found a comfortable way to express myself through videos! 🎥✨ The lighting might be a tricky part, but I really enjoyed being myself (even though I’m feeling ready to sleep in my pajamas, haha. I’m happy you enjoyed the content!

good morning🌞!! what a lovely exercise to start right after waking up😊 i think it works well in the hazy state of sleep! my bridge also has a river flowing underneath, but i made it from bricks. i also added a fence on top to keep everyone safe. i am just sitting on the couch with a cup of black tea + milk, so i am simply using a black pen to doodle with 😊 i added highlighters after the fact, and lots of little bubbles in my river🫧🫶 I don't have any creatures on mine, but it is surrounded by big round mountains with clouds off in the distance. i added two big lanterns on poles on either side, and one hanging down the center above the river🌈💡 no surprise bridge trolls here!!! 😂 i think my concept is pretty cute, but the execution could be a bit more refined! but for a first bridge I'd say it isn't too bad!! really beautiful story you shared about your grandma, thank you💘 sending you much love and steadiness in this tumultuous time full of change💖🌻🐿️🦊🌟🤗!!

Good morning, Nads🌞!! I’m so happy to hear that you joined the exercise too!
What a lovely way to start the day right after waking up 😊 Wow, imagining your bridge makes me feel so cozy. It sounds so relaxing to sit with a cup of tea, just doodling with a black pen ☕️✨
I wanted to try making a more relaxing video instead of my usual educational content as an illustrator, and surprisingly, I enjoyed it a lot! This could be something to explore more in the future-making the coziest videos haha.
Thank you so much for your kind words about my story 💖 Your message brought me so much warmth and encouragement during this time of transition 😊💫 I hope you have a wonderful week 🩷Lots of love from beautiful Monday sky✨

This is a very pleasant surprise Chi-Chan! :) I understand the post is about creative process, but at the same time we can see that the studio is coming together really nicely. I really like the fairy lights on your wall. My wife likes that kind of stuff but I am too lazy to install and route the cable to the power source for her lol. I’ll do it for her when I am retired hahaha.
The bridge is very cute, and I really like the cute animals you drew too. It’s so sweet for you to send it out as postcard. I tried doing that once for my wife’s friend as a surprise, but the mail got lost or stolen, so we don’t really have much trust on USPS anymore, especially when we paid insurance for it and still they claimed that they had delivered it. Ah well.
Anyway, I can’t wait for me to finish my sketchbook so that I can focus more on wet media in my next phase. I will still draw with dry media occasionally but it wouldn’t be a ‘goal’ anymore. I clearly am taking this a bit too seriously and your video serves as a great reminder that I shouldn’t and need to remember to have fun while creating.
Anyway, thanks for the nice surprise, hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!

Hi Alex, did you enjoy the weekend? I went to a street festival and found lots of antique shops-it got me so excited to find something for a mixed media art project in the future, hehe 🎨✨.
I’m really happy you noticed the studio coming together! I love the fairy lights-they really soften the atmosphere . It’s so cute that Evie likes them too! I can perfectly imagine them in her studio . Installing them can be a bit of a hassle, but it’s worth it. I use battery-powered ones in another room 🔋.
It’s sad to hear about the postcard you sent that got lost. That’s really frustrating, especially after paying for insurance!Booo!
I realized that I enjoy recording videos like this one more than talking about my career experiences, which was quite surprising 🤔.
Yes, I agree, the most important thing is to have fun while creating, and hearing your thoughts makes me so glad I made the video!
Thanks again for sharing your story and for the kind words. I hope you’re having a wonderful, relaxing week!

@@ogawachikako Yep weekend was nice and pretty relaxing. I actually drew a beaver just for fun, and I think I'll draw more beavers :D Glad you had fun at the street festival. I think this and the next month we will be having a lot of musical festivals here. I usually do go to these kind of events, getting too old and missing my bedtime at 9pm :p but I probably should at least go to one or two with wife. She'd love it. I'll check out the battery powered fairy lights, that doesn't sound like too much work :D

Hahaha I am the same! Going outside at night doesn't happen to me for a while. but today is very exceptional. I will see blues music competition tonight, local musicians could be another new inspiration for this week.🎵

I loved this video! I’ve never tried doing this kind of art meditation, but now I am so intrigued! I liked how you talked through how the bridge can be interpreted as what’s going on in your life. I would love to see more prompts like this.
I got my first hobonichi techo cousin, and I want to try doing doodles and drawing reflections like this in the daily pages.
Thank you for sharing and I will write again soon! 💜

Hi, Evie! Did you enjoy the weekend?
I’m really happy to hear you enjoyed the video ✨ I was trying out a new concept on my channel and was curious to see how it would go! I’m so glad the bridge prompt resonated with you-it’s really encouraging to hear. Surprisingly, I’ve been enjoying this concept more than sharing my career experiences, so I’m planning to make cozy videos to watch on Thursday nights starting this week haha.
By the way, can I ask about your Japanese level?
I’ve started receiving requests to make my videos in Japanese, which was a bit surprising to me.
Would you be happy to watch this type of content in Japanese with English sub, or would you prefer using both easy Japanese and English narration? No rush on the answer at all, I’m just collecting feedback for now🙏

    • @EviesHangout
      @EviesHangout Месяц назад

@@ogawachikako Yes I had a very restful weekend, thank you! I am so on board and excited to hear about your plans for Thursday night videos. I think it will be a great niche for your channel.
As for my Japanese level, I'd say I am maybe an upper beginner student. I studied for 4 years in undergrad, a semester abroad near Osaka, and another year in grad school. I've gone through Genki 1 and 2 textbooks.
I don't practice as much as I should now that I am older, though, so I would love any kind of Japanese content you'd like to do! You could do a mix of both types of content (Japanese w/English subs and narration) as I think both kinds would be useful in their own way.
My advice would be to think about how much energy you have to make this content, and how you can best serve your audience in a way that is sustainable for you. The more complicated the videos/editing process is, the longer it takes to put out a video, and then you may have less energy to do any other creative endeavor you want to do.
Anyways, hope this helps, and please don't hesitate to reach out again with any other questions!😁

I’d love to see your bridge!💖
I might draw my bridge differently in a few months, as my feelings keep changing. It could be interesting to observe that through the objects we create.
Hehe, I hope you’re having a good week and enjoying the start of autumn! 😊🍁
