      @ban guns I agree. That live version of Nausea has a more energetic and fuller sound than the studio version. I enjoy Manzarek's organ playing in The Doors, but it ruins the studio version of Nausea.

      @-Ricky_Spanish- 2 года назад +6

      Yeah, and the versions from the soundtrack are complete. "Wash Away" is legit one of the greatest songs to come out of this scene, even though it was decidedly not very punk at the time to use synthesizers. It didn't matter, the song held up so well it almost makes other stuff from the time seem more dated and juvenile.

      Agree with you when it comes to “Wash Away,” which was on the “Beneath The Shadows” album. But I have never been able to find a studio version of “Darker My Love,” so I have no point of comparison.

    The guy making out with that girl at the beginning (Joe Schmoe in the movie) is Wade Walston - who played bass in the US Bombs for a little while. Funny guy. When the Bombs crashed at my house in Austin back in ‘97, he was relentlessly hitting on my cute little punkette roommate, and she kept shooting him down. I remember walking out in the living room at one point and he said to her: “I was in Suburbia, you know. It was a counter-culture classic”. She was like, “Ok? I just want to make a sandwich”. Then he lifted up the blanket he was laying under and said “Come to uncle Wade”, haha! I guess he had better luck with the girls in the movie.

    What a great time. Everyone just kind of did what they wanted and FTW and what anyone else thought. It's funny, as I occasionally see a 'punk' or whatever and it would be the same as being a Hippy in the 90's, lol. The decades are kind of all the same now but than they were clearly defined and you had to be in the moment of one of them to truly experience it, and be clearly defined By experiencing it.

      Bernie Sanders pays less in taxes compared to both the bourgeoisie and proletariat , but still want's to lecture everyone else on their fair share of taxes from his 3rd vacation home.

      Trump is the most punk rock president the world has ever seen. He in many ways embodies the punk rock attitude of the 80s. So sick of the brain dead "progressive zombies" of today obsessed with their diversity hysterias etc. Anyway, who wants some phony two faced politician who pretends to care about you!?!?

      Oh, you must be referring to that "harder-core-than-thou, slip the poser a mickey and roll him for the 14 holes" part of the 80s. Have to admit he's got that down..

    Loved this movie in High School. But watching it again now....Damn its pretty badly acted. Actually not pretty badly...VERY BADLY ACTED. Still has a place in my heart though.

      The crappy acting, cheesy script, cheesy lines, great fashion and the best music. Make this movie awesome. It's made by Roger Corman the king of low budget b movies. What do you expect?

    • @Evolvingwithin777
      @Evolvingwithin777 9 лет назад +3

      Emily Hall obviously not as dumb as you. Roger Corman is the King of directing, producing, editing etc low budget B movies from the 50's to the 2000's.. She may have directed it, but he produced it. Therefore, the movie wouldn't have been made without him. He also produced Rock n Roll High School with the Ramones. And 100's of others.
      So sweetie! Learn the facts before you call someone stupid. That said, people like you crack me up. Continue being a poser and calling people out on things you barely know anything about.

      My comment was a reference to when I lived in MD / Baltimore and people down there would call northerners turkey neckers and chicken neckers, as an insult, implying they're sissies, cause that's the bait they would use to crab and fish with instead of eels or other more disgusting stuff. Stupid, I know.
