About Archie Bunker's Place: Archie and his partner, Murray buy the neighborhood bar and rechristen it “Archie's Place.” The Bunkers adopt their niece, Stephanie, but during the show's second season, Edith dies, leaving Archie to raise Stephanie, and, soon, another niece, with the help of a black housekeeper. Most of the action is set at the restaurant, with a cast of new characters including Anne Meara as the cook and Jason Wingreen as the bartender.

I love that Gloria’s return included a small mention of her missing her “ma.” We all felt the same way. 😢
🥲💔🕊
I still haven’t experienced seeing it and I still don’t want to it hurts to see Edith go like that
@@jerramaurice7836lol!! I know what you mean! When i found out my favorite character on Orange Is the New Black was going to die in a prison riot, i stopped watching!!
😢😢😢😢😢
Yes, that was very wise to do.
I noticed how Gloria misses her mother. I felt the same way when Edith died.
I like the housekeeper!
Yes, she had personality.
I miss my dad.
I have seen Sally at the Ralph’s in Hollywood twice in the last 6 months. One of these times i am going to compliment her on her work. Lol!
ha the one on Western?
@@ChitakuPatch No the one on Sunset.
@@ADeFilho lol. Yes! Both times it was the Sunset Blvd Ralph’s!! Have you seen her too? Have you seen me, too? 😆
Good episode! ❤
I like Mr. Van R! Good common sense!
It would have been more practical for Sally to return on a permanent basis.
She was invited back but wanted to do her own show. Aside from the horrible picture quality and sound, the storyline I thought was fabulous. Never made it past the pilot, which can be found here on RUclips.
@@johnny-beckerIt made a full season.
@@Asukenick Was it a full season? I was only able to catch the pilot. My bad!
@@johnny-becker
21 episodes.
@johnny-becker
Sally should have come back TO ABP after Gloria was cancelled.
I assume this was the episode that spawned the short lived spinoff Gloria.
Well, i didnt see Jo De Winter in this episode!!
@@Mister_Listener I didn't see a lot of people in this episode, either.
@@trv411 lol
Second part set that up.
I think it was. But then again, All in the Family launched several spin offs:
Archie Bunker's Place
Gloria
The Jeffersons
Maude
A double feature would be better than part one now & part two whenever you feel like it.
Agreed
Don't leave us hanging. Where is Part II?
@@ronjohnson3129 No, on here where it will be complete.
I miss there family members being together. My family was together then.
The show was good but there was something missing without Edith.
Hugely missing!
Looks like Archie was right about meathead all the time
“Dead from the neck up!”
I always got the feeling that not only was Archie calling Michael out for leaving Gloria and Joey but also Carroll O'Connor was calling out Rob Reiner for not returning to the series. With O'Connor controlling much of the series, Reiner's departure must have really burnt his britches.
Not really. They had to write it this way because Rob wasn't interested in reprising Mike again. He was getting ready to direct stuff. So they had to write out his character like this. Same reason why Edith was killed off-Jean no longer wanted to do the show and they needed to have a reason why she wasn't there whenever Archie was home.
Love it
There is a blooper at 13:15. You can see someone walking outside the back door, maybe Danielle Brisebois?
There's a later episode near the end of the series where Mike guest stars and actually tells Archie he loves him.
Umm, no. Rob Reiner was never on another episode.... why do people that don't know what the f*** they are talking about feel they need to chime in??
When is part 2 coming out?
Communes is how early settlers in America started, but it was realized that some weren't working and pulling their own weight, so a equal sized plot of land was issued to each member of the community and each family was able to do what they wanted. Build a building, farm it, or just let it get all over grown with weeds and other foliage.
The ones who weren't working would show up for meals anyway, until someone said, if you don't contribute, you don't share. If you don't share, you eat what you got. The parasites who wanted to go look for gold had three choices: work, help or don't eat. Sometimes it worked.
@@sealyoness Couldn't have said it better myself
Billie: At least a boy won't wear my clothes. Let's hope Joey doesn't.
How do I sign up for this, the release of the video?
Oh my God, Rose O’Donnell looks like Carol O’Connor
Great episode, though I'm annoyed Part 2 is nowhere to be seen.
Actually both parts have aired regularly on Antenna TV since 2018.
She cheating on Mike, and got dumped by Mike and ran home to daddy...lol
Like cheated on her.
So is that what men do nowadays they cheat on the woman and they say that it’s the woman that’s cheating now I know why corruption is so prevalent in the world
Your own fantasy that it was her fault that they broke up and then blaming her that she cheated when it was Mike who cheated on her is insane
Please, you need to get checked out
Special Guest Star Elijah Ray Sanders
where does Archie get the money working in a restaurant?
was his pension from the docks that lucrative?
He owns it, remember? He bought Kelsey's bar, then converted it into a restaurant.

LOL
It's sad to think that ten.years after this. Archie is dead and Joey has aged by 20 years and sold the house.
My favorite sitcom ever 📺❤️📺❤️📺❤️📺📺📺📺📺📺📺📺📺📺📺📺📺🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Is part 2 here?
What happen to part 2
By any chance are we going to see part 2 on here
📺 😂❤❤❤😂😂
Danielle was 2:41 smokin' hot in those days!
$200,000 a bargain price for a home in 1982 New York City. That was for the wealthy in most of the United States back then. Barney’s offer at 17:00.
You realize that was a joke, right?? The prior season Archie's realtor Allison Flanders valued his home at $62-63k.
Part 2?
Lol no matter how old you get, he's still your father and you're still his little girl case closed 😂
Sally was smokin hot
👍
👋🏻📺📺📺😊💯🐻❤️❤️🎈
I liked Gloria’s hair in earlier episodes. I know that has no meaning at all just saying. lol
Who thought mike was right ?
2024 communes growing outside cities for neccessities.
Boy did this show loose its appeal fast and I loved All in the Family.
I knew of Daniele Brisbois but who is the other young brunette girl?
I think k she was Archie's niece Billie.
@@mommyshark1124 Correct.
I've always wondered how Rob Reiner felt about the way Mike was written out of the Bunkerverse. Sure Rob was doing other things but for Mike's story to end that way, always seemed out of character.
Apparently he was fine with it because Rob was rumored to be returning for a few episodes in the 5th season before Archie's Place was canceled.
@@ronjohnson3129 Too bad it was cancelled. I think they should've at least had another season or two. Oh, well.
@sha11235 I always thought if she been written into the last several episodes of ABP, it would have boosted the ratings enough to extend it another season.
@@ronjohnson3129 I wish that show had gotten a proper finale,
@@HOTRAILProductions yeah it was a shame it ended the way it did, could’ve done with a proper finale.
No where near the. sitcom When at its height 10 years before
Yeah true, but it is surprising how good ABP was anyway.
@@Mister_Listener yes. Perhaps.
@@renesagahon4477 Well, ABP was always in the shadow of AITF. It was a more somber show and did suffer a bit. But there were some good moments.
