These were missions that I just did not enjoy in Red Dead Online. The game does have far less bad missions then GTA but some could be changed. Is there any other bad mission that I missed?
Back when I didn’t know that 3 star pelts gave way higher material rate, I grinded and took every pelt. And yes I say pelt, because back then I also didn’t know that carcasses gave much more material rate too. That grind back then, truly was a bad mission.
TheProfessional The tanning fluid mission for cripps definitely ties for number one imo. At least I try with the hunting mission. The moment the fluid mission pops up I actually go and blow it up. Too many enemies.
Honestly, I would be happy to get the hunting mission if R* managed somehow to fix animal spawns issue. We all, more or less know where to find each animal, and in addition of supplies, we get a nice +20% in materials, no sweat.
I had that mission and I hated it so much because I don't like to kill players because I'm not a grierfer I would kill friends if we're just testing out our shooting or doing our own 1v1 or if a player keeps on killing me
I was targeted by a player in a Assassination. I was with a possie at the time, one of the members took care of the player and then parley the possie. The player can’t kill me sinse I was with the possie. Then the player gave up and rode away.
For the Tobin Winfield bounty, I nearly ran out of bullets simply because they rushed me so much. Tobin should have his own gun so he can defend himself. Perhaps he can use it against you once he betrays you, but he still needs his own gun because it’s a nightmare trying to defend him while defending yourself.
Tobin Winfield pissed me off and my horse got downed during the mission. That I started only shooting the enemies with fire arrows so I could hear them scream or shoot them with dynamite arrows so I could watch them blow up. And when I finally got to the jail I cut Tobin free so I could chase him down with a knife and slit his throat and then blow off all of his limbs with my shot gun. I ended up turning in a torso with no head, arms, or legs. I didn’t care about the money anymore.
The Posse/Player Assassination is worse than that Bounty Hunting mission where the bounty is traveling and sometimes has a guy guarding the bounty with a maxim gun.
First time I had to do a player assassination mission, it sent me up against someone who was a) a couple hundred levels higher than me, or b) shilled out some gold microtransactions to get some of the more powerful stuff. I was riding up to him, telling him something like "sorry man, nothing personal, it's just a job", being polite and at least giving him some warning. He then lassos me with a reinforced lasso and proceeds to use the flaming buckshot to gun down my horse. Then he waits for me to almost struggle out of the lasso, then shotguns me in the head. He then proceeded to go "haha get rekt bitch," and at that point I realized it was some thirteen year old likely fresh from GTA5. Fuck player assassination missions. They're the stupidest mission in this game.

The worst for me is helping a stranger get to a place, they literally pay you 2 - 5 $, you have to save him, and deliver the person somewhere sometimes far away for 2 $ it’s fucking stupid

Now it’s several mouths later, We have Naturalist Updates with the fixes of animals spawn. But I still find the hunt to earn supplies mission is such a pain. All of the time I spend on this mission Maybe I was so lucky to find the requested pelts and Carcasses. There’s only one time I fail this mission when I’m looking for turkey in Big Valley. So I find the new session as the time was about to expire. And I got that mission again. But this time I found one as I follow the instructions about where can I find the turkey which I did the same thing with the previous hunting before. Which I find these mission do have one thing in common. ‘They nerf the animal spawn during the mission on purpose.’ So that’s why I always encounter the requested animal were all independent. They’re not stick together as a pack or a flock like they usually are in the free roam. I still considered this mission not so enjoyable which is what Rockstar was intended.
Hey Pro great video! Totally agree with number 1 especially with the animal spawns being how they are. Surprised player/posse assasination is not higher on your list. No one does it anymore and it does piss off the hunted party
The hunting mission for Crips will spawn one(!) of the requested animals. But it's still prone to failure because you might not find it or another player already took it. If you are near Hennigan's Stead you usualy have to find a tortoise at Stillwater Creek, which makes the mission very easy. Also, this mission rewards you with a full wagon of 20 materials instead of the steal missions which only reward 5 materials per bag.
One time I was doing a collection when all of a sudden, I was being hunted, it was a player bounty. I hide in a barn and keep shooting him with my lancaster, I survive and in one swift motion I get a message of 3 people in like 10 seconds insulting me, saying i'm ruining other experiences because I defended myself, And I get into a huge battle with 3 level 9, 19 and 28, they end up killing me once, and it is followed by a message saying TRASH in all caps. Actually unbelievable
The hunting resupply mission is actually pretty easy. Even though the normal animal spawns are bad, this mission has a scripted animal spawn in one location. The scripted animal spawn is identified by the scripted animal will not show the star ranking. I still have had the issue of it not spawning the scripted animal, but definitely not 90-100% of the time. It still can be annoying trying to find the single animal it spawns for you. One tip is to stay in the area it tells you at the beginning of the mission that the animal can be found in. Still a bit buggy though, can't argue with that.
The Hunting Resupply missions I got were actually pretty easy. The trader always spawns near the animal you are supposed to hunt. But I get that, if you are unlucky, it can be pretty annoying
You should make a top 5 most annoying glitches in Rdr2. Ive been playing this game for a while and it has its fair share of annoying glitches, I remember back in December when infinite loading screens were a problem I had to find a glitch to fix and glitch so I could change my characters appearance.
The hunting resupply missions are not 90-100% failure rate at all even with the current animal spawn problem. Usually if you go to the trader the game will force spawn the animal you are looking for in the nearby area. The animal spawn problem definitely makes this harder though. I've had the elk I was hunting for spawn and then vanish leaving an eagle eye trail that is just 5 feet long. But lately I have been able to find whatever animal it wants me to hunt for within a few minutes. You can always tell when it is that animal that the game force spawned in for you mission, because you won't be able to tell what quality the pelt is. Last time I had the bison mission someone else killed my bison, and the game spawned another one. Yes they used to be a very high failure rate, but after that last couple patches I have probably only failed 20% of these hunting missions.

I still remember that i was fishing for a currtent fish for a daily challenge like 8 month ago and got interrupted by a player assassin mission and make it even worse it was a 4 player posse coming after me and they were 100+ and i was 40 at the time
Pro did you know Horses aren't different one guy ran a test on most expensive horse. And cheapest one. He went over whole map. Best horse did 14mins 11 seconds poorest horse... Guess WHAT! 14mins 21 seconds. That's literally no difference.
That hunting pelt mission is bugged in more than one way. In one mission, another trader made off with the pelt. Then sometimes the text changes to 'get supplies from trader' even though you don't have a pelt. The player assassination is stupid too. I was tagged on this mission and was in an area with few places to get away. So I just waited and waited, wasted as much time as possible and then just as the player got in range, I used the pause menu to jump into a new session and return to my camp. That player asked my three days later to join his posse.
The NPC Bounty Hunter attack wouldn't even be that bad if there was any incentive at all to do it. Like if you could loot the Bounty Hunters to get valuable loot, or even modest loot, those missions would be worth it. But for how difficult they can be, there's no point. Honestly there should be an incentive in general for collecting a high bounty. The only thing that getting a high bounty nets you in Red Dead 2 online is that you're occasionally hunted by bounty hunters, and you can't do stranger missions till you pay it off, for some reason.
In single player I used to be worried about having a bounty until I realized the gold mine that bounty hunters were in terms of loot. They'd get annoying at times but if I was in a good position I'd let them come, kill them, and loot them. The one time I hit $10 in online they came in a wave and as you say there's no loot and they're hard as hell. I got killed and lost ten bucks - fuckers. As for dispatch rider I finally won once for a total of $4 dollars. I think I've won twice now. It's a clusterfuck of horses trampling and people shooting everyone and someone can just be lucky to be the last person to get on the horse for seconds and win. It's similar to Railroad Baron with the horse chaos but you get points for holding the train not finishing. That one is fun except that after death everyone spawns on top of each other leading to a chaotic massacre especially in tunnels. If they spawned people spread-out and made it easier to jump from horse to train it'd be a lot better.
Rip number 1 hit too close to home with me. Literally just yesterday I was doing that mission, and while I was able to find a pelt quickly even while being in a full lobby, the mission glitched and when I was taking the supplies wagon to my camp, the camp just despawned. Even though it said "supplies delivered" when I loaded my camp up again I had no units of supplies rip.
usually if someone tries to player assassin me this is what i do PAUSE=ONLINE=CAMP=BYE BYE. i dont deal with that mess especially since players like to use cheese like explosive rounds and an explosive arrow thats literally the orbital cannon from gta online which they can have 8 of. and the tobin bounty i get what you mean because as a free aimer clearly the mission was design for auto aimers who cant actually aim because the ai are behind bushes where i cant see them but they can see me and shoot me easily. its hard but 2 semi auto pistols and health ability card builds can handle them solo. also wow that horse mission looks cheap in auto aim i wish rockstar would disable auto aim on PVP to make it more skilled base i bet 98% of player would miss their shots if they dint have auto aim or painted in black.
I genuinely almost quit playing rdr2 when the tobin bounty first came out. the pay wasn't as good as other, it was boring as hell, and I had to listen to "My TORMenToRS" like 13 times an hour

A list of best missions? Number 1 spot is a recovery mission this can be good for a player(s) who are starting out the pay out is pretty good 0.4 gold and 30+ RDO cash if you run out the timer within last minute. It also has long time mission (i think 30 min) to recover the wagon (this mission is given by Alden)
Anytime I get Bounty mission where I need to track target then I just restart, its not even worth it. You keep tracking one bounty for 2 minutes only for the game to tell you to go back and try other tracks. Take into account you have 3 available tracks to follow AND the timer is short on these ones, if you fail 2 tracks and 3rd is the correct one you run out of time.
Cant agree more, hunting resupply is a pain. tips: - having a low honor can help avoid that hunting resupply. - with dispatch rider having slippery bastard card will really help, plus it protects you from pesky splody ammo - with toby windfield bounty having strange medicine card helps for me, do damage get health. tanky builds helps too with slow and steady. also, when you're taking toby to the police tons of enemy will spawn and try to kill toby instead of you. so the strategy here is instead of using your horse you use the bounty wagon instead, it will protect toby so he didnt die.
How I approached the Tobin Winfield bounty is that I would hogtie him and toss him in the back of my wagon since it would provide him some armor from attacks. You'd only have to worry about the horse, but thankfully enemies shoot at you instead of the horse most of the time.
I hated the train resupply by far the most. Have to ride hard, clear across the map, with a shit timer. Raid the train, and race all the way back. All that pain in the ass for 5 material.
For me, the tanning supplies wagon is the absolute worse one. Every time I see it I just blow the wagon up because I don't wanna waste my time. At the beginning when you are trying to clear the enemies, a lot of the time the NPCs start shooting at the wagon and by the time you take control, it probably lost a tenth of the health bar. Then, on your way back, enemies on horseback start chasing you and every shot does a ton of damage to the wagon. By the time I get back, the wagon is usually less than half health or completely destroyed before I even make it back to camp.
I prefer the hunting resupply mission over others for a couple of reasons. 1. Animal spawn is consistent on PC. Plus, I know the exact spawn location for the target animal. 2. Hunting mission is guaranteed 20 units of supply versus 5 for bag since I hunt solo.
I know I'm late but man, the other day I started a resupply in THIEVES LANDING and out of all pelts I needed.... I needed to get a TURTLE, there is only ONE turtle in the game and it's the Alligator Snapping Turtle and it can ONLY be found in Lemoyne
NPC Bounty Hunters are Fun for Me cause What could be More Fun than Shooting Bounty Hunters though I will add The NPC Bounty Hunts Start at the Worst Times and Moments in the Game Especially when your trying to get to One Spot to the Next and an NPC Bounty Hunt just starts up instantly out of Nowhere but other than that I find NPC Bounty Hunters to be More Fun than Law-Man in the Game
Pro today I sold 25 goods in Trader and the screen froze for about 2 seconds and it didn’t pay me NOTHING. No cash no rank level...Then I went and did a resupply mission stole the goods and didn’t got any rank! Should I submit a ticket or is this an acknowledged bug?
I personally love the hunt for pelt or carcass mission. I started playing on Christmas eve when the animal spawns are completely broken. I always get it done within 5 minutes

Search missions are easy. I never follow the clues unless it's a role challenge to track the targets with eagle eye. I ride around the edge of the circle and I'll typically find them quickly. Make your way from the very edge to the middle of the circle.
Hunting mission spawns the desired animal at a specific location, if you know the location it is pretty easy to do. Edit: I can help you make a guide for this mission by telling you those locations.
I'm watching this vid from the far future of October 2020 and hunt missions for trader are not so bad anymore :) animals spawn near the target even in nowadays lobbys. But the rest of them still sucks

The animal spawns are not broken anymore in some areas but in some areas it is hard to get.

Dispatch Rider is a meme event for sure. I've had people who purposely ride away from the turn in area on THE HORSE just to extend the antics.

Like if you could loot the Bounty Hunters to get valuable loot, or even modest loot, those missions would be worth it. But for how difficult they can be, there's no point. Honestly there should be an incentive in general for collecting a high bounty. The only thing that getting a high bounty nets you in Red Dead 2 online is that you're occasionally hunted by bounty hunters, and you can't do stranger missions till you pay it off, for some reason.

The first 3 missions are pretty much designed for the purpose to encourage PvP and interrupt other player activities. That's NOT FUN, R*... 🤨
In single player I used to be worried about having a bounty until I realized the gold mine that bounty hunters were in terms of loot. They'd get annoying at times but if I was in a good position I'd let them come, kill them, and loot them. The one time I hit $10 in online they came in a wave and as you say there's no loot and they're hard as hell. I got killed and lost ten bucks - fuckers.
As for dispatch rider I finally won once for a total of $4 dollars. I think I've won twice now. It's a clusterfuck of horses trampling and people shooting everyone and someone can just be lucky to be the last person to get on the horse for seconds and win. It's similar to Railroad Baron with the horse chaos but you get points for holding the train not finishing. That one is fun except that after death everyone spawns on top of each other leading to a chaotic massacre especially in tunnels. If they spawned people spread-out and made it easier to jump from horse to train it'd be a lot better.
Rip number 1 hit too close to home with me. Literally just yesterday I was doing that mission, and while I was able to find a pelt quickly even while being in a full lobby, the mission glitched and when I was taking the supplies wagon to my camp, the camp just despawned. Even though it said "supplies delivered" when I loaded my camp up again I had no units of supplies rip.
usually if someone tries to player assassin me this is what i do PAUSE=ONLINE=CAMP=BYE BYE. i dont deal with that mess especially since players like to use cheese like explosive rounds and an explosive arrow thats literally the orbital cannon from gta online which they can have 8 of. and the tobin bounty i get what you mean because as a free aimer clearly the mission was design for auto aimers who cant actually aim because the ai are behind bushes where i cant see them but they can see me and shoot me easily. its hard but 2 semi auto pistols and health ability card builds can handle them solo. also wow that horse mission looks cheap in auto aim i wish rockstar would disable auto aim on PVP to make it more skilled base i bet 98% of player would miss their shots if they dint have auto aim or painted in black.
Remember when you have to deliver 3 package under a strict time limit when it only just you?
On PC the hunting supply mission is perfect: 2 minutes and 20 materials also. Best supply mission

I genuinely almost quit playing rdr2 when the tobin bounty first came out. the pay wasn't as good as other, it was boring as hell, and I had to listen to "My TORMenToRS" like 13 times an hour

I got the bounty hunters on me as I was trying to customize my horse but they didn't even spawn so all I could do was wait
I imagine Tobin Winfield is hard on console. I play on PC and I find that its not too bad with the right ability cards.

A list of best missions? Number 1 spot is a recovery mission this can be good for a player(s) who are starting out the pay out is pretty good 0.4 gold and 30+ RDO cash if you run out the timer within last minute. It also has long time mission (i think 30 min) to recover the wagon (this mission is given by Alden)

I actually finished that Tobin Winfield mission after delivering a dead Tobin Winfield. He was killed after I got the deeds though.
Anytime I get Bounty mission where I need to track target then I just restart, its not even worth it. You keep tracking one bounty for 2 minutes only for the game to tell you to go back and try other tracks. Take into account you have 3 available tracks to follow AND the timer is short on these ones, if you fail 2 tracks and 3rd is the correct one you run out of time.

Cant agree more, hunting resupply is a pain. tips:
- having a low honor can help avoid that hunting resupply.
- with dispatch rider having slippery bastard card will really help, plus it protects you from pesky splody ammo
- with toby windfield bounty having strange medicine card helps for me, do damage get health. tanky builds helps too with slow and steady. also, when you're taking toby to the police tons of enemy will spawn and try to kill toby instead of you. so the strategy here is instead of using your horse you use the bounty wagon instead, it will protect toby so he didnt die.

How I approached the Tobin Winfield bounty is that I would hogtie him and toss him in the back of my wagon since it would provide him some armor from attacks. You'd only have to worry about the horse, but thankfully enemies shoot at you instead of the horse most of the time.
I hated the train resupply by far the most. Have to ride hard, clear across the map, with a shit timer. Raid the train, and race all the way back. All that pain in the ass for 5 material.
For me, the tanning supplies wagon is the absolute worse one. Every time I see it I just blow the wagon up because I don't wanna waste my time. At the beginning when you are trying to clear the enemies, a lot of the time the NPCs start shooting at the wagon and by the time you take control, it probably lost a tenth of the health bar. Then, on your way back, enemies on horseback start chasing you and every shot does a ton of damage to the wagon. By the time I get back, the wagon is usually less than half health or completely destroyed before I even make it back to camp.
I prefer the hunting resupply mission over others for a couple of reasons. 1. Animal spawn is consistent on PC. Plus, I know the exact spawn location for the target animal. 2. Hunting mission is guaranteed 20 units of supply versus 5 for bag since I hunt solo.

I know I'm late but man, the other day I started a resupply in THIEVES LANDING and out of all pelts I needed.... I needed to get a TURTLE, there is only ONE turtle in the game and it's the Alligator Snapping Turtle and it can ONLY be found in Lemoyne
NPC Bounty Hunters are Fun for Me cause What could be More Fun than Shooting Bounty Hunters though I will add The NPC Bounty Hunts Start at the Worst Times and Moments in the Game Especially when your trying to get to One Spot to the Next and an NPC Bounty Hunt just starts up instantly out of Nowhere but other than that I find NPC Bounty Hunters to be More Fun than Law-Man in the Game

Pro today I sold 25 goods in Trader and the screen froze for about 2 seconds and it didn’t pay me NOTHING. No cash no rank level...Then I went and did a resupply mission stole the goods and didn’t got any rank! Should I submit a ticket or is this an acknowledged bug?
Even if it's an acknowledged bug, you should still submit a ticket. Rockstar won't know it happened to you if you don't tell them
I personally love the hunt for pelt or carcass mission. I started playing on Christmas eve when the animal spawns are completely broken. I always get it done within 5 minutes

Doing the "hunted mission" (bounty hunters) gets you a belt buckle, both surviving and going to jail

The bounty hunter missions like the train one or when you have to search for them
Search missions are easy. I never follow the clues unless it's a role challenge to track the targets with eagle eye. I ride around the edge of the circle and I'll typically find them quickly. Make your way from the very edge to the middle of the circle.
Once I saw Player Assassination as #5 I knew it was gonna be painful to be reminded of these missions.

Hunting mission spawns the desired animal at a specific location, if you know the location it is pretty easy to do.

For GTA Online you should make a video about what ammo should you use for what weapon. For example Sniper- Explosive ammo
The hunting is easy you just look around your Base or the trader Base, and you shall find the animal you are looking for
I'm watching this vid from the far future of October 2020 and hunt missions for trader are not so bad anymore :) animals spawn near the target even in nowadays lobbys. But the rest of them still sucks

Where’s the tanning fluid resupply for the trader role? It’s horrible. Almost impossible to get the wagon back with more than 75% health, especially if you’re doing it alone.
