City living & get famous would’ve been perfect together as a single pack
why? city living is just apartment life and get famous is like superstar which are never together
@@LolaLaura1993 Late Night in Sims 3 had apartment/city living and celebrities. Together. Sure the celebrities weren't very fleshed out in Late Night, but they were there.
12AliCat6 I think it’s better that they’re separated, that way they were worked on more. Not to mention city living in the sims 4 wouldn’t work that well with get famous because of their different themes.

When I got really upset that my sim kept wanting to sleep instead of editing and making videos with the media production thing and i kept cancelling the sleeping action until he passed out but then I reevaluated my actual similar RUclips life.

I think it’s because then people would inevitably feel ripped off for buying city living. I personally am not a big fan of City Living and think that it could’ve been much better if apartments and celebrities were in the same expansion pack. A lot of people might disagree with me though.

I haven't been playing sims for 8 years - I watch every sims video on this channel. I think it speaks for itself
I still play The Sims 3 to this day!
I will also chime in that the quality of these reviews is incredible. To have so many people who've stopped playing to watch these is something unheard of. However, any time I do watch these reviews, it gives me an itch to jump back in and lose myself once more in this ridiculous Sim world
I stopped at get together, but got back in when they allowed console. Its cheaper with sales now.

The lack of lots is extremely disappointing. The game also needs more cities. I love cities but was also disappointed with its lack of lots! It can't be that hard to add like 3 to 6 more lots.

@@theweirdo8622 yeah it was alot of fun hahaha, it kinda sucked that you could only be in a classical music style band in this one, but it would be awesome if they would put in a guitar likw the one you would unlock in the sims 2 if you would reach level 10 in the music carrer, and also it would be awesome ifthey would include an electric bass, something that was missing in the sims 3
@@lionwolf2797 Yeah I actually never messed with the band thing too much in TS3 because that game always ran badly here. I heard the gig thing was also glitched.
But they should really add a Music career in this game, maybe via patch.
I personally would love to see a synthesizer again. There was one in TS2 Free Time.
Unfortunately the music playing thing was also kind of messy. I never maxed out skills so maybe I'm wrong with this one, but as far as I know the Sims played different songs according to their instrument... maybe they should let us choose between different genres and like 5 premade songs from your chosen genre and all the band members synchronise somehow. They could also let you produce music other than hip hop on your computer.

I mean it's not bad but I was always more interested in making punk-ish Sims or electronic musicians.
They should add saxophones maybe.
Seriously, you should read how much detail went into the PAINTINGS in The Sims 3. They used a program I really like called ArtRage and there were like 50+ different things your Sim could paint, but they can't be arsed to make a decent music system.
The best was probably Superstar but you could only be a pop/ballad singer there IIRC.

I bought Moschino, Get Famous, and City Living, and it's all I need tbh. I'd like 4 seasons just for immersion haha
The best thing that I realized is that even though I'm not super into "traditional" fame, it makes absolutely no sense for the greatest writer/cook/artist or whatever in _the entire world_ to get no recognition for it. Same as sims who do things for recognizably good or bad reputations. It doesn't all have to be glitzy glammy BS and the fact that they seemed to have acknowledged that to make something useful for all kinds of sims is great.

TofuDream the sims have always made dodgy jokes like that. The names or descriptions of their furniture can have some inappropriate jokes or innuendos. Not really a kids game. There’s a reason why it’s rated T and up. I think he made his character naked to fit into the joke I don’t think the sims were going for that.
@@grilledcheesus Depicting porn is NOT the same as innuendoes that go over a kid's head. You can say it's not a kid's game, but it's advertised as 12 plus and I know tons of people who played it as a kid. I'm all for legalization of prostitution and all drugs, I don't have a problem with porn, I DO have a problem with it being shown to kids. It was not even remotely subtle.
@@aquamarinedream8304 if a kid knows what a casting couch is then shouldnt you be questioning the kid not the adults, mainly adults plays sims cause we all grew up with it. Yes kids do play sims but your telling adults to keep it kid friendly when adults should have fun as well!

I liked to create legacy familes that end up being very rich and own the town, but all of them would start in this one small house and i'd usually end up selling windows to buy a pizza. I liked the underdog approach, Sims 2 was better in that regard, it was harder to get rich but it felt more rewarding and earned, tho that's prolly nostalgia speaking to an extent. Still i'd occationally challenge myself and instead of from zero to hero, i'd try to keep my sims rounded. Sure i'd have rich families but some would stay poor or at least lower middle class but it's hard to do, Sims 3 is going too easy on players.
I know what those packs need:
Instant Noodles and Fast Food.
I'm waiting for them to add a faith characters with specialized traits and aspirations, so that folks who want to add religious aspects into their games can.

it’s also like... challenging. i mean, it’s not so effortless to become famous as ts3, though with a lot of sims i get the “fading relevance” notifications every 5 seconds. my emotion bomb sim got enraged when someone insulted him once and he looked at troll comments online lol. but also it gives you options as far as reputation goes. not to mention more chance card events for careers. i think this pack is really cool and is adding some much needed depth. not to mention, it’s fun to make sims who are attention whores. only big problem is that the world is tiny. 6 residential lots is just not enough by any means
It's a shame that EA is finally beginning to figure out what they're doing with the Sims 4 and making notable improvements so incredibly late into its life.

It’s dawns on me while watching this, how I’m S3 you could go to the beach and walk into the ocean and swim. Or lay on the beach and “rest”. So although S4 is finally at a place where I’m interested in it, there’s still things EA will have alway screwed up on and with out as complete overhaul, those things will never come back ☹️

They’re not making very many improvements... the towns they create are just getting smaller and smaller. In Del Sol Valley, there are FOUR homes and one lot to build on. That’s so pathetic... I spent so much money on this expansion and didn’t get much in return. Not even very many build/buy items or CAS items either
So they didn’t add any music career to this? This would’ve been the perfect opportunity to do so

I love this pack (and I never love Sims 4 packs) but there are some major gameplay discrepancies. Mostly the fact that a top level actor/celebrity does not make nearly enough money for the lavish mansion life style to make sense. It would have been nice for the acting career to mirror real life: extremely low salary to begin with, extremely inflated salary in the highest levels.

@@bethfreel8897 if you liked the gameplay I do recommend you to buy it. But it comes from me who likes celebrity life style and all that. But if you a casual player, who might like building, this is not a huge pack for you're (tbh I recommend City Living or Eco Lifestyle if you are into that). If you're into realism, I heard that parenthood game pack or University might be a great choice! Seasons for me a lot more worth it also for realism(but then the biggest things you got in seasons is weather)

I wish they made a new get to school expansion, but I think its too late now. they could have included a teacher profession and allowed you as a child to complete tasks at school for instance become the school bully or become popular or become the teachers pet, this would have been a really cool feature

Let's see... Sims 4 released nearly 5 years ago and yet no fire fighters, police or burglars. What was EA thinking through all those expansions and not adding some things as basic as fire dept., police or burglars.
1/10 for milking the public so shamelessly.
They said they're never going to add those in and have no plans of doing that, something about how it made players anxious or something, but also they're changing the direction of the game with a lot of their choices. They want the game to focus on different things. The devs have tons of limitations put onto them as it is, and they picked a weird engine that makes it torturous to add changes to the code without breaking everything.
@@Frenchaboo Can only hope they get their act together in TS5. Personally I don't play TS4 all that much as TS3 ruined it for me with the open world. Losing that takes a huge amount of enjoyment out of the game for me. That and the (what I consider) poorly designed and limited worlds to play on. I bought all the expansions to TS3 and 1 or 2 stuff packs, and have only bought two expansions in TS4 and they didn't help the game in my opinion.

As a fellow "RUclips content creator" I will definitely be checking this out. I perked up when you hit the footage of the Sim shooting video and editing. That is a large part of my day as well. And i totally understood your statements of having to tell friends you can't go do something, or lol, trying to drag them along to things you want to do so you can pull out your camera or phone and create youtube content (Like do have been doing my friends when i take them record shopping with me) Keep it up Clint. I’m not the biggest fan of EA but would still argue each element is better though. For instance, vampires in 3 were fine I guess but not really that fleshed out (although they were updated a bit with Supernatural) and I didn’t like that you had to ask someone if you could bite them. Because of the narrower scope, vampires in 4 just had so much more to them. The different skills, things you could do, items etc. I am actually hoping they take this approach with something like werewolves.
I'm not sure as I don't own TS4 but can you even form a band in Sims 4? To me, that was the main part of Late Night.
but sometimes ts4 goes in depth than ts3 was, but sure. it's ts4.. we can't expect that much lol.

Should’ve added a model career or in general a fashion career where you can choose if you become a model, a fashion designer (maybe even with a new skill) or fashion photographer (moschino stuff pack); singing career where you can choose if solo or group and which genre and in the group/band if everyone sings or if they play an instrument and which and in general you give concerts and have to record songs and create an album; and a fleshed out social media career (which is a self employed career) (social media career from city living + trendsetter path from styling career + video station) where you can create multiple social media accounts (simtube, simstagram, simsom (TikTok)) and choose which type of social media account (gaming or cooking and baking or fashion and beauty or sport and fitness and health or entertainment like singing/dancing/comedy/ pranks or just personal life like vlogs)
I agree with you. The Style Influencer is the closest we get to a modeling career. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for a modeling career in the future.

I wish when you get to Global Superstar, you could be placed in an "endgame" ranking system based on what kind of celeb you are so you could compete with other Global Superstars in your world, especially when how busted the fame passives are.

creating new unique items and actions costs money. creating new chairs to fit different styles home is cheaper cause the animations and core mesh structure is already there and people want different styles to decorate with. when they finally got the sliding doors and ceiling fans in they said that it will be easier now to create more now that the animations and mesh is there.

I believe at some point when he was reviewing the sims 3 stuff packs he noted at a large abundance of chairs and then in the next exexpansion or stuff pack he jokingly complained at how little amount of airs were included in the pack. Since then it's become a running joke at how he expects a number amount of chairs in each new pack.

@@cuteycuteylala Seasons. Ever since TS2 the seasons packs tend to be my favourite because they overhaul the game in a massive way that very few other expansions do, and make the game feel fresh again after the base game's already been out for a few years.

I actually agree with you LGR, Del Sol Valley is such a lovely looking world. My favorite location is Mirage Park which looks just like a low / medium wealth suburban neighborhood in the middle of Los Angeles (minus the constant traffic jams and smog filled skies). I just think it’s a shame that it doesn’t have as many lots available to put families on.

agree, but a few of the GCs are not that biased tho. But sure, we don't need to be such an ego.. Just like how thesimsupply dealing with the pack that should not be named.. He almost as savage as Clint was during that pack's review.

Curiously, a guy released a first person mod for The Sims 2 years ago. It was obviously glitchy though because he just edited some text.

edit: honestly i've never really like the famous eps for sims but this seems pretty cool and something i'd actually play and not get annoyed at.
So not only can LGR play a sim, playing the sims, in the sims, in reality. But now he can host a sims review, as a sim; in the sims, while playing the sims?
It makes you wonder if you're the end of reality or just a process towards one, as if your life was just a game from someone else?

I love your videos so much, especially your sim reviews. You give such a thorough, unbiased opinion it really impacts my decision on whether or not I buy the next pack. I ideally want to be one of those simmers who own everything but I’ll usually wait until something is 50% off on origin before buying it if I’m not that excited about it. But I always look for your videos for a review on a pack that’s been hyped up by sim gurus to see whether it’s really worth paying full price for or not. I conclude that this pack definitely has enough new innovative and funny features to definitely be excited about buying right away. It’s not exactly what everyone has been asking for lately but it sure is something worth having. It’ll keep me occupied while I still hope and pray for cars and more interactive infants.

I lost it at the Daddy of Five reference near the end there.
This pack really has some deep gameplay and you see a lot of that the more you play it. Had pre-ordered this and don't regret it, considering I don't even care for celebrity lated packs even since the sims 1, but this pack REALLY outdid itself and luckily with the celebrity system it doesn't catch like a disease like it did in s3.
You have lot traits, an award ceremony if your sim got nominated it even shows on the calendar along with a talent show you can attend.
It's amusing and a bit creepy your sim can gain a stan and they hang out in front of your hand waiting for your sim to come out and they can even swipe stuff.
Surprised he didn't mention sims being able to die in the vault being locked in it.
I never buy a sims game until I watch an LGR review 😂 But honestly you're so good about going in-depth without being boring and dragging it on. You're the only person who can actually make a funny sims review.
