Even when they have perfect sun resistance, by the by. *has a vampire couple that she made sure had that trait so they didn't die if she dared play other families, and -- the umbrella come out a lot*

Evie M they are pretty much the same thing just with different names. The only significant difference is that umbrellas are waterproof.

Honestly, when you were looking for the handiness book, it reminded me of something they should bring back to Sims 4 - having bookstores & grocery stores where you buy books &/or meal ingredients (& lottery tickets). Or even having that be something you buy through the computer or your phone like you do with medicine & earbuds (I mean, it would be like ordering off the Amazon app or something). I like how the Sims have it now too, but this would compliment that and then you could actually have a fully functional bookstore or grocery retail store that, if you weren't the owner/manager, you could actually go in & buy the items. And it could be a socializing spot like the bar or something. Mind you, I don't know how many different types of books you can buy if you set up a retail store with bookcases...I haven't played with the retail stores very much in the Sims so I don't know. In Sims 3, I enjoyed the interaction with the "ding" as the sim entered the store & then the list of books or groceries popped up.
They could even take this a step further and if any of your Sims are in the writer career/write books from home, they could be sold in the bookstores.
Oh yes.... I remember the Sims in sims 3 disappearing into work and school and the stores.... Sigh

OMG! So excited, since they announced the new expansion pack/new careers the only thing I could think about was a new Rags to Riches 🙌🏻👏🏻
hey fyi if you want your libraries to have skill books there is a specific bookcase that is meant for public library lots. They have them already in the libraries in the two base game worlds and it seems that after that they never built a library in the new expansion pack worlds with that bookcase. Which is dumb... I think it was just an oversight... as usual. This bookcase can't even be found in the debug mode... one way is to get a specific code for the object which can be found online, but I find its just way easier to just go to the library lot in one of the two original worlds, make a blank room... put the bookcase in the room... save the room to your library... then put the bookcase back, delete the room and then go to whatever other lots (like the windenburg library) and place your saved room on the lot, and place the bookcase where ever you want. You only need one and the other bookcases will automatically be populated with the skill books.
Note that it will only give you level 1 skill books... and not even all of them. with the newer expansions some of the skills have been neglected in updating to that bookcase. Because obviously it seems they have just forgotten that bookcase existed all together... Alternatively you can go to the gallery and you will find plenty of people who have gone out of their way to make a room with the books in it so that you can place them in a lot. Unfortunately I have found out that when you save lots or rooms to the gallery with stocked bookcases the added books will disappear... so, in order for you to make sure the added books are transferable they have to be outside of a bookcase when saved.
Just thought you oughta know. Personally I try to go out of my way to fix all the crap that the sims team overlooks in terms of these little things because I don't feel like it was really meant to be part of the gameplay to NOT have skill books in a library.

I'm actually quite relived to see that it's not super easy to become famous. I remember in sims 3 when I would become famous just because a co-worker of mine was famous and it was so annoying.
I love her studio shack. She should fix it up and keep it so she has a place to practice! So excited for this LP
Here's a better backstory: She moved out to the city because she wanted to be famous and the city is the place with the opportunities, but when she arrived she got mugged immediately and because she's a pretty self assured person she didn't want to call back home and admit being defeated by the city in the first hour of arriving so she decided to make it work with $0!

Watched OG Lady BigWallet, didn’t watch Get Together, watched Sir and Little, didn’t watch City Living (Fredrick), watched KATRINA (Pets and Jungle Explorer), didn’t watch Seasons, and an now watching this.... a distinct pattern has emerged

Handiness - those skill books are available at Willow Creek library, and Lady was at a gym - yet she was singing lol The gym was a perfect way to get her fitness skill up to work out. That was funny!
Yay, Lady gets her own series! Couldn't resist the will of the crowd, could you, James? And I like how she too gets a unique Rags To Riches -- not an empty lot, but a tiny TV set! At least she has her own bench. And her own toilet. :p It's the little things in life. Things like maybe not making an ass of yourself in front of a celebrity. That embarrassing introduction is hilarious no matter how many times you see it. XD And I love how she moved out to get away from her family and make her own name -- and now her grandma's the club bouncer and her siblings keep showing up looking for celebrities. I actually paused the video to read all of the audition descriptions, and it appears one of Vlad's past selves started a hardware business for those of a nighttime crafting persuasion. XD I find it amusing she nailed the bite scene -- her costar seemed REALLY into it as well. XD I also find it amusing that one of the things she was supposed to work on was her fitness, so you sent her to a gym. . .to shower. And then pretty much immediately left when it turned out singing for tips wasn't such a great idea there. XD Oh James, your disaster approach to playing Sims is a delight. :p And I look forward to checking in with the rest of the family too! I know "Keeping Up With the Bigwallets" kind of got derailed by the Murphy's Law episode and Get Famous being announced so soon afterward, but I'm glad you're not just leaving them in the dust. :)
