By the way James, you can actually steal boats and jetskis that aren't technically owned by you. You just have to get on and drive it onto your lot, then you can pick it up and sell it in build/buy mode.
I “made” a million by entering the lottery, seeing I didn’t win, saved the sims name in my head added them to my household stole the money and kicked them out 😂😅
If you give money to her the first time and call her out the second time, you will make 2k, and yes, every time you give Bess money, you have the chance to get that 25k, and you will get that call the next day, although this a meager chance the best way is to call her out the second time she calls you. Oh, and umm, after you give her money over ten times, you might get the call that she can’t pay the money back... And if your household does not have 1k, she would take all the money and take it as if it is 1k.
I had a teen spellcaster who knew the repario spell (level 1). He went dumpster diving and used repario on what he found and sold it. On day one he found a Princess Cordelia double bed and kept it. Okay, low level casters sometimes fail repario and set the object on fire instead, so do it outside the house. I don’t know that this is faster but it’s chaotic and fun.
Fun video, as always ! Just a tip, painting IS fun and will get your sim's fun up quite easily, if it's specified in his likes and dislikes that he likes painting. I think it's right for every activities, actually.

Bess gave me §65,000 when I kept funding her start up, I think it was §10,000 invested. Not great, but not horrible. Loving this series continuing! Have to say it’s weird seeing the lot bonuses used at all, and upgraded things like kitchen appliances and beds from the get go as R2R is the norm lol. (Edit grammar)

yeah and the skill for it will take probably 3 sims days. dont forget the cloning part if you dont want to creating thousands of ambrosia. it also need potion of youth which probably a struggle to get without cloning

Or what i do is just fence it in and lock the gate. Super ugly usually(unless i already have a fenced in area) but worth it and not as expensive. Also i feel like the telling sims to leave your lot is now gone most of the time?

I got addicted to the expensive can when there was the bug where if you didn’t have Eco Lifestyle your outside bin would overflow and you’d have to sell it and buy a new one whenever it filled up. The nanocan never needs to be emptied, so expletive you, Trash Can Bug, I just won’t have an outdoor bin!
the Money Trashcan is based on household size (10$ for every sim in the household)--it's not worth it for a singular household with minimal trash. Unless they've changed it
The trashcan bug has been in the game for ages tbh, I think it's every time someone knocks the bin over or someone uses it in any way, it's just no longer considered a functional bin xD Keeps happening with every bin in my game
The Sims 3 would let you buy entire community lots and earn huge sums of simoleons over time, it'd be cool if something like that were implemented in The Sims 4
Sims 4 is missing that whole aspect, even Sims 2 I remember you could build a community lot and it would charge Sims to enter, so you could run a pool or community centre or gym whatever without it having to be a shop to sell things.... was so much fun
Instead of buying the minimum of a kitchen and spent time cooking, you could also buy those serving tables from either Luxury Party or the wedding pack and just buy meals from there
You can get an even bigger boost by starting an art club on your home lot and using the points for the painting boost. The bonus stacks are crazy! Also if you set painting, fishing, etc. as their likes they will gain fun. Also worth mentioning again that if you turn on the earbuds while sims are awake it keeps their fun maxed out!
Somehow, EVERY time I play with an artsy Sim I forget the digital sketchpad exists. Only run into it somehow when its not relevant for what I'm doing 😅😅
A few of the bins are bugged. The wheelie bin is the only one I use now because it's one of the only ones that isn't bugged. It's been a thing for a while, and not been fixed
I've been pretty lucky with a combination of the fizzing skill and playing for tips/composing songs. Retail stores are community lots, so sims are much more likely to tip you than if you were just standing near your home lot
Really enjoying these! I know if you say to Bess "no more money" or whatever she'll repay you with interest. Clearly she knew the best scheme for getting money! Ha. I think you can also use your points to buy the ability to sell items for more or like more often you get masterpieces, etc too. Can't wait for more in this series. Very creative!
13:33 -- If I remember correctly there's a hidden ""skill"" in painting and writing. The more you make something of a specific genre the more money you get, which is why suddenly switching to Classical got a lower return. As for Bess, you give her like... the least I've given her is 6k but I think i've also given her like 11k before she finally did the return investment =oc I'm not sure;;;
Listing on Plopsy is very much worth it once you're a level 5 painter or so. And unlike the selling display, you do not have to sit around "tending" and wait for sims to come by and purchase paintings. When I was level 10, I could easily get paintings to sell on Plopsy for $20,000.
Vlad in that Speedo gave me a shudder worthy flashback to my distant youth. I was an innocent young lass at a water park, throughly enjoying the day, when a man as pale as Vlad (though this gent was on the portly side) wearing a white banana hammock waltzed into my sight line. As an adult I can both commend and appreciate his confidence and zero f**ks given attitude, but as an American preteen I was a bit weirded out (the Speedo was WHITE). You should have invested a bit into handiness so you could get the upgrade for the sketchpad at level 4; makes painting even faster with it. Also, I believe the Marketable trait would have increased the amount the paintings are sold for with the yard sale wall as well. Also I like how you sold the postcard instead of using the inspired aura it gives you. Could have saved a little bit of time as you'd no longer have to go cloudgazing (not that it takes that much time in the first place, but uh...)
I'd really like for you to continue doing this as a series. It'd be cool if you also did a ranking at the end of each video, depending on how long it took you to reach the million simoleons.

@@emyrinth2153 Unless it's bugged again, you can choose to "turn on" the earbuds and they'll listen to them in the background and gain fun while multitasking, but if you choose to "listen" to the earbuds, they won't multitask as their full attention is on the music.

This is my new favorite series. I'm currently trying to see how long it takes me to make a million just from a dumpster. Probably could be going faster if I didn't get side tracked so easily XD
I feel like clubs are the missing element to make this go even faster. Especially if you do gardening again, you could use a gardening club to help tend your garden for free from the beginning (instead of hiring a gardener)
Ahh, This is how I did the challenge. Of course not as fun as watching James do it though. I also always learn something new watching these. I mentioned it in another video, but a good method for making money through fishing is to dig a pond on your lot and stock it just with the most expensive fish available. For basegame, that's the treefish from Sylvan Glade.

The fish price tables at Carl's Guide are incorrect and fish are worth about half what he has. Takes a lot of time...the better fish take higher skill to catch in the first place to be able to stock your pond. Even on the sales table at max markup, after four days I only had $9k.

I think part of it is reducing the price of collectables by half, that might be why the fish cost half of what his table said they should.
The trashcan bug happens to me too. To get around it, use the trash chutes from city living. Doesn't make much sense for a house, but sims can't knock them over.
I like to use your challenge rules to start this scenario, but extreme rags to riches. And sims can ONLY sell via table/painting wall. (Nothing from inventory) ❤ So exciting to watch these versions of earning a million simmoleons
Create arts club, have club meetings on your own home lot, add lots of easels and make painting only club activity. Have looooong club meetings, sell painting as fast as they are ready and you have plenty of money in no time! Cheaty, maybe, but it's not your fault that they leave their paintings behind...
i think another factor that could have helped would be utilizing holidays. setting them from the beginning so every day has a tradition or painting or something and getting the extra aspiration points from that to get a ton of reward traits
Kool :) Here's a fun idea for you: Make a million, 19th century style. Simple living, no power (and thus no digital pad)... It's still doable, but a lot more challenging. I eventually went full Dracula, so as to cut down on the food annoyance and have more time to paint. Seduced five "brides", and had them paint as well, lol.
I was going to do the gardening one, but I miscalculated and it was the middle of winter in my scenario save. Yikes. But Winterfest was a couple of days later and with a micro home it was really easy to make Father Winter my best friend in minutes. Add him to the family, steal his 500,000 bucks, kick him out of the family. Easy peasy! Half way there in a couple of days.
Damn, those lot traits can really make a difference, can't they? And yes, selling things from home is so overpowered (watch Carl making frantic notes on how to nerf it in his overhaul. . .). Nice work!
A million from junk. Get a cheap lot to live on and another lot as a retail lot. Set to landfill lot and skill your sim's handiness up. Build up a shop selling the junk that people bring. You can fix the broken stuff and add a dumpster to get even more junk. I also added a woodwork table and a fabricator to mine. You make, find and fix things to sell at 100% markup. It's not quick, but it's fun
I’m always early to delis videos, but exciting to finally be early for yours! I love these types of vids, keep them coming! A great idea too is you and deli playing at the same time and trying to see who wins first!
if you have a fitness pack thingy, and have the earbuds, you can actually just turn it on and your fun will slowly goes up, so I always take it and just turn it on while my sims do their own stuff and they'll never get bored

Making Money Scenario Ideas: 1. Frog Breeding and Selling 2. Fishing 3. Combing the Beach for Shells 4. Diving for Treasures 4.1. Combining nr. 3 and nr. 4 5. Dumpster Diving and selling whatever you find 6. Playing the piano/keyboard, playing the guitar, playing the violin 7. Singing 7.1 Combine nr. 6 and nr. 7 8. Completing every single collection in the game, check what everything gives you combined by selecting all in the inventory and de-select anything that isn't a collectible, like empty glasses and plates and earbuds 9. Every skill you can earn money off of, but takes time earning a lot, which depends on how high the skill is, like Writing, Playing instruments, like the ones listed in nr. 6, singing etc. There's just so many ideas for a Rags to Ric... I mean Making Money Scenario, which, in hindsight, is the same as Rags to Riches, lol
The Perfectionist Trait would have been a good idea. It increases the chances of higher quality paintings and grants high-level moodlets after crafting high quality items. More money and better moodlets as the Painting Skill goes up would have been quite helpful for this. Especially, since one of those moodlets is an Inspired moodlet that lasts for a few hours, making the paintings even better. I use that trait a lot since it helps with every kind of crafting from painting, to knitting, to woodworking and so on.
I did this challenge like you did with base game only and the farming bit oh and thank you for the marvelous tool you created to turn off the packs. You're such a genius! (I mean that sincerely). It took my sim 45 sim days to make it. I'm interested in seeing how this one goes.
For fun you can buy one of the swings (I think it's the one from island living, but can't remember), it gives INSTANT fun really fast just by swinging on it a few seconds. :)
Here are some suggestions: Take the top suggestions you like from the comments and put them in a wheel. You spin the wheel to see which one is next and when it's done, it gets removed from the wheel. When the wheel is empty, you could fill it up again with suggestions if you want to. Try doing the scenario in an apartment or penthouse with 8 sims but where the penthouse or apartment is completely empty expect for a tent or bunk bed, so it's a blank canvas for you to work with. 1. You could assign each one a way to make money and that's their way, 2. 1 but pair the sims up, so, for example, two sims handle flower arranging, another two stream videos and other two knitting, 3. have a different way each sim day like steaming videos one day and knitting the next, etc. Just think of the possibilities you could do with 8 sims. You could go to a different world each sim day and only make money in the world for that sim day. You could have: 1. yoga mat, 2. massage table, 3. mediation pillow, 4. artist easel and street art, 5. digital sketch pad and street art, 6. selling table, 7. music instrument 8. camera with tripod and selling table. This would work with one sim but they would only need one selling table and one street art plus a tent for sleeping if you choose that option. This would also work with 8 sims. Say sim 1 finished yoga class and found plants to harvest and a dig spot. What they found could be given to Sim 6 to be sold on the selling table along with whatever Sim 6 and the others found. 2 of the 8 sims could be given Cabin-in-a-Bag tents, so you don't have to keep returning to the base lot all the time. Maybe one sim could have a drone to make videos with and anytime they return to the base lot the sim transfers, edits and uploads the videos for the royalties. You could do this with a base lot of a empty apartment or penthouse if you wanted to. Only dumpster diving. Tip I saw in a TS4 RUclips video: have a sim drink some water and throw the glass in the empty dumpster, so it will fill up. Only knitting. If you have a store then you can just restock the item without making it again. Imagine 8 sims doing nothing but knitting. Get celebrities autographs and the price goes up each day. While your waiting, use the streaming video desk to make videos and a pc to write books, so you can get royalties, massage table, yoga classes, meditate classes, etc. If you make the poop randomizer treat and feet it do a dog there might be a chance for gold poop or even a gold bar. The gold bar is worth about 6,000 simoleons. Imagine 8 sims writing, programming or streaming videos. Bottomless Decoration Box where you can search for decorations and sell them with no limits. Imagine 8 sims doing this. The One Million Simoleons Scenario with the Multiplayer Mod Suggestion (I did suggest this to DrGluon and could partly be considered house flipping.): You would be playing the scenario without being in scenario mode, going to scenarios and choosing it, You and another player would start by living in the place from the Art Gallery, furnished, with some changes. No art gallery on top and the entrance to the place would be the T.A.R.D.I.S, have stairs down to it and it would be locked for household only. Where the Art Gallery was becomes a room big enough for selling tables, street galleries, massage table (maybe a separate room for this inside the big room), etc. with doorways/archways. Whatever can go in a sims inventory like easels, selling tables, massage tables, etc. would be taken so when you move on to the next location you don't have to buy it again. Writing books and streaming videos would be very useful for this early on because the royalties would carry over. You and the other player would decide when to move on to the next location, and in the case of house shells, the shell should be furnished. End Goal: 1. Have one million simoleons and 2. Either live in a house in Sulani or a penthouse in San Myshuno, and have that shell be furnished in the same way as all the other house shells along the way. Houses to use: Willow Creek Riverside Roost - This is just a suggestion for the kitchen: enclose the kitchen and use a 2 tile doorway/archway. Oasis Springs Vista Quarry - This is just a suggestion for how the floor plan of this house could be changed. Make the 2 small rooms, bedroom and chess room, bedrooms or knock down the wall for one large bedroom. switch the kitchen and the bathroom around and knock down the wall from the big main bedroom, so the kitchen can be bigger and there can be an office space for making money. Basically, it would be one EA house, given a bit of a makeover and emptied so it's a house shell, from each neighborhood, ones that you can live in. The last neighborhood would be Sulani or San Myshuno. House Shells: The person or sim players who build the shells, EA house with a makeover, get to pick 3 lot traits and 4 lot challenges. Whether you can remove some, none or all is up to you and the other player, as well as to what you want to do to remove them, if you go with some or all. The house shells will have all the build mode stuff taken care of ahead of time, so you would know what areas are for what. The shells would be empty except for the following: no light or one light, but not the saucer light mailbox outside trash bin or the money bin and a bunk bed or tent. How the house shells would be furnished: dumpster diving woodworking table Completing goals/tasks each day to earn spins on the wheel for that day. The number of goals/tasks per sim day would be decided by you and the other player. Say you and DrGluon or Deli complete 3 of the 4 tasks for that day then you would collectively get 3 spins on the buy mode wheel at the end of that sim day. Maybe if you don't complete any of the tasks, zero for the day, you lost a certain amount of money, a small sum, which would be decided by you and the other player, but that's optional. Maybe set the max number of items you can buy from each slot on the Buy Mode Wheel. This way you still have money for the other spins and not blow all the money on, for example, comfort and leave none for plumbing should one of the other spins land on that. Buy Mode Wheel slots: 1. Lighting, Electronics, and Appliances 2. Activities and Skills 3. Decorations 4. Plumbing 5. Comfort 6. Surfaces 7. Other (all other categories not listed in 1-6)

The basegame sketch pad only works for painting, but eco lifestyle came with one that doesn't do painting at all. That one raises logic though!

Try with Shift + Reset Object (debug), it works when your sim(s) is stuck
The trashcan bug has been in the game for ages tbh, I think it's every time someone knocks the bin over or someone uses it in any way, it's just no longer considered a functional bin xD Keeps happening with every bin in my game

The Sims 3 would let you buy entire community lots and earn huge sums of simoleons over time, it'd be cool if something like that were implemented in The Sims 4
Sims 4 is missing that whole aspect, even Sims 2 I remember you could build a community lot and it would charge Sims to enter, so you could run a pool or community centre or gym whatever without it having to be a shop to sell things.... was so much fun

Fun fact: On this "Oceanic Paradise" lot, if you swim, you will become inspired. That's basically what the lot trait does.
You can get an even bigger boost by starting an art club on your home lot and using the points for the painting boost. The bonus stacks are crazy!
Also if you set painting, fishing, etc. as their likes they will gain fun. Also worth mentioning again that if you turn on the earbuds while sims are awake it keeps their fun maxed out!

Somehow, EVERY time I play with an artsy Sim I forget the digital sketchpad exists. Only run into it somehow when its not relevant for what I'm doing 😅😅
A few of the bins are bugged. The wheelie bin is the only one I use now because it's one of the only ones that isn't bugged. It's been a thing for a while, and not been fixed
The money bin doesn't tip over too, plus money for garbage.
I've been pretty lucky with a combination of the fizzing skill and playing for tips/composing songs. Retail stores are community lots, so sims are much more likely to tip you than if you were just standing near your home lot
Really enjoying these! I know if you say to Bess "no more money" or whatever she'll repay you with interest. Clearly she knew the best scheme for getting money! Ha. I think you can also use your points to buy the ability to sell items for more or like more often you get masterpieces, etc too. Can't wait for more in this series. Very creative!
13:33 -- If I remember correctly there's a hidden ""skill"" in painting and writing. The more you make something of a specific genre the more money you get, which is why suddenly switching to Classical got a lower return.
As for Bess, you give her like... the least I've given her is 6k but I think i've also given her like 11k before she finally did the return investment =oc I'm not sure;;;
Listing on Plopsy is very much worth it once you're a level 5 painter or so. And unlike the selling display, you do not have to sit around "tending" and wait for sims to come by and purchase paintings. When I was level 10, I could easily get paintings to sell on Plopsy for $20,000.
I got 44k once for a masterpiece from Plopsy.

Vlad in that Speedo gave me a shudder worthy flashback to my distant youth. I was an innocent young lass at a water park, throughly enjoying the day, when a man as pale as Vlad (though this gent was on the portly side) wearing a white banana hammock waltzed into my sight line. As an adult I can both commend and appreciate his confidence and zero f**ks given attitude, but as an American preteen I was a bit weirded out (the Speedo was WHITE). You should have invested a bit into handiness so you could get the upgrade for the sketchpad at level 4; makes painting even faster with it. Also, I believe the Marketable trait would have increased the amount the paintings are sold for with the yard sale wall as well. Also I like how you sold the postcard instead of using the inspired aura it gives you. Could have saved a little bit of time as you'd no longer have to go cloudgazing (not that it takes that much time in the first place, but uh...)

I make my painters music lovers and put a radio nearby. So long as they’re listening to music they’re fun stays up.
That's why I keep the headphones! They can listen to music and do some other tasks, like painting.
@@itspuppycat do they work while painting? I’ve had a lot of issues in the past with not being able to multitask with headphones it’s really weird. I should say I haven’t played since whatever that winter resort pack was came out.
@@emyrinth2153 Unless it's bugged again, you can choose to "turn on" the earbuds and they'll listen to them in the background and gain fun while multitasking, but if you choose to "listen" to the earbuds, they won't multitask as their full attention is on the music.

I feel like clubs are the missing element to make this go even faster. Especially if you do gardening again, you could use a gardening club to help tend your garden for free from the beginning (instead of hiring a gardener)
Ahh, This is how I did the challenge. Of course not as fun as watching James do it though. I also always learn something new watching these. If you want Bess to pay you back, you need to click on the third selection in the menu. I really really am curious to see what she pays back based on what you gave her.

I mentioned it in another video, but a good method for making money through fishing is to dig a pond on your lot and stock it just with the most expensive fish available. For basegame, that's the treefish from Sylvan Glade.
You have to have found one before you can do that though.

I just tested, though, and it's a terrible way to make a mil. The fish price tables at Carl's Guide are incorrect and fish are worth about half what he has. Takes a lot of time...the better fish take higher skill to catch in the first place to be able to stock your pond. Even on the sales table at max markup, after four days I only had $9k.

Do you have Carl's difficulty mod installed? I think part of it is reducing the price of collectables by half, that might be why the fish cost half of what his table said they should.
The trashcan bug happens to me too. To get around it, use the trash chutes from city living. Doesn't make much sense for a house, but sims can't knock them over.
I like to use your challenge rules to start this scenario, but extreme rags to riches. And sims can ONLY sell via table/painting wall. (Nothing from inventory) ❤ So exciting to watch these versions of earning a million simmoleons

Create arts club, have club meetings on your own home lot, add lots of easels and make painting only club activity. Have looooong club meetings, sell painting as fast as they are ready and you have plenty of money in no time! Cheaty, maybe, but it's not your fault that they leave their paintings behind...

i think another factor that could have helped would be utilizing holidays. setting them from the beginning so every day has a tradition or painting or something and getting the extra aspiration points from that to get a ton of reward traits

Here's a fun idea for you: Make a million, 19th century style. Simple living, no power (and thus no digital pad)... It's still doable, but a lot more challenging.
I eventually went full Dracula, so as to cut down on the food annoyance and have more time to paint.
Seduced five "brides", and had them paint as well, lol.

I was going to do the gardening one, but I miscalculated and it was the middle of winter in my scenario save. Yikes. But Winterfest was a couple of days later and with a micro home it was really easy to make Father Winter my best friend in minutes. Add him to the family, steal his 500,000 bucks, kick him out of the family. Easy peasy! Half way there in a couple of days.
it'd be interesting to try gardening again but with all the packs so you get the tiny living lot traits!

A million from junk. Get a cheap lot to live on and another lot as a retail lot. Set to landfill lot and skill your sim's handiness up. Build up a shop selling the junk that people bring. You can fix the broken stuff and add a dumpster to get even more junk. I also added a woodwork table and a fabricator to mine. You make, find and fix things to sell at 100% markup. It's not quick, but it's fun

if you have a fitness pack thingy, and have the earbuds, you can actually just turn it on and your fun will slowly goes up, so I always take it and just turn it on while my sims do their own stuff and they'll never get bored

1. Frog Breeding and Selling
2. Fishing
3. Combing the Beach for Shells
4. Diving for Treasures
4.1. Combining nr. 3 and nr. 4
5. Dumpster Diving and selling whatever you find
6. Playing the piano/keyboard, playing the guitar, playing the violin
7. Singing
7.1 Combine nr. 6 and nr. 7
8. Completing every single collection in the game, check what everything gives you combined by selecting all in the inventory and de-select anything that isn't a collectible, like empty glasses and plates and earbuds
9. Every skill you can earn money off of, but takes time earning a lot, which depends on how high the skill is, like Writing, Playing instruments, like the ones listed in nr. 6, singing etc.
There's just so many ideas for a Rags to Ric... I mean Making Money Scenario, which, in hindsight, is the same as Rags to Riches, lol
The Perfectionist Trait would have been a good idea. It increases the chances of higher quality paintings and grants high-level moodlets after crafting high quality items. More money and better moodlets as the Painting Skill goes up would have been quite helpful for this. Especially, since one of those moodlets is an Inspired moodlet that lasts for a few hours, making the paintings even better. I use that trait a lot since it helps with every kind of crafting from painting, to knitting, to woodworking and so on.
I love the shade he throws at Deli every episode.

I did this challenge like you did with base game only and the farming bit oh and thank you for the marvelous tool you created to turn off the packs. You're such a genius! (I mean that sincerely). It took my sim 45 sim days to make it. I'm interested in seeing how this one goes.
For fun you can buy one of the swings (I think it's the one from island living, but can't remember), it gives INSTANT fun really fast just by swinging on it a few seconds. :)
and "swing your problems away"
Here are some suggestions:
Take the top suggestions you like from the comments and put them in a wheel. You spin the wheel to see which one is next and when it's done, it gets removed from the wheel. When the wheel is empty, you could fill it up again with suggestions if you want to.
Try doing the scenario in an apartment or penthouse with 8 sims but where the penthouse or apartment is completely empty expect for a tent or bunk bed, so it's a blank canvas for you to work with. 1. You could assign each one a way to make money and that's their way, 2. 1 but pair the sims up, so, for example, two sims handle flower arranging, another two stream videos and other two knitting, 3. have a different way each sim day like steaming videos one day and knitting the next, etc. Just think of the possibilities you could do with 8 sims.
You could go to a different world each sim day and only make money in the world for that sim day. You could have: 1. yoga mat, 2. massage table, 3. mediation pillow, 4. artist easel and street art, 5. digital sketch pad and street art, 6. selling table, 7. music instrument 8. camera with tripod and selling table. This would work with one sim but they would only need one selling table and one street art plus a tent for sleeping if you choose that option. This would also work with 8 sims. Say sim 1 finished yoga class and found plants to harvest and a dig spot. What they found could be given to Sim 6 to be sold on the selling table along with whatever Sim 6 and the others found. 2 of the 8 sims could be given Cabin-in-a-Bag tents, so you don't have to keep returning to the base lot all the time. Maybe one sim could have a drone to make videos with and anytime they return to the base lot the sim transfers, edits and uploads the videos for the royalties. You could do this with a base lot of a empty apartment or penthouse if you wanted to.
Only dumpster diving. Tip I saw in a TS4 RUclips video: have a sim drink some water and throw the glass in the empty dumpster, so it will fill up.
Only knitting. If you have a store then you can just restock the item without making it again. Imagine 8 sims doing nothing but knitting.
Get celebrities autographs and the price goes up each day. While your waiting, use the streaming video desk to make videos and a pc to write books, so you can get royalties, massage table, yoga classes, meditate classes, etc. If you make the poop randomizer treat and feet it do a dog there might be a chance for gold poop or even a gold bar. The gold bar is worth about 6,000 simoleons. Imagine 8 sims writing, programming or streaming videos.
Bottomless Decoration Box where you can search for decorations and sell them with no limits. Imagine 8 sims doing this.
The One Million Simoleons Scenario with the Multiplayer Mod Suggestion (I did suggest this to DrGluon and could partly be considered house flipping.):
You would be playing the scenario without being in scenario mode, going to scenarios and choosing it, You and another player would start by living in the place from the Art Gallery, furnished, with some changes. No art gallery on top and the entrance to the place would be the T.A.R.D.I.S, have stairs down to it and it would be locked for household only. Where the Art Gallery was becomes a room big enough for selling tables, street galleries, massage table (maybe a separate room for this inside the big room), etc. with doorways/archways. Whatever can go in a sims inventory like easels, selling tables, massage tables, etc. would be taken so when you move on to the next location you don't have to buy it again. Writing books and streaming videos would be very useful for this early on because the royalties would carry over. You and the other player would decide when to move on to the next location, and in the case of house shells, the shell should be furnished.
End Goal:
1. Have one million simoleons
and
2. Either live in a house in Sulani or a penthouse in San Myshuno, and have that shell be furnished in the same way as all the other house shells along the way.
Houses to use:
Willow Creek
Riverside Roost - This is just a suggestion for the kitchen: enclose the kitchen and use a 2 tile doorway/archway.
Oasis Springs
Vista Quarry - This is just a suggestion for how the floor plan of this house could be changed. Make the 2 small rooms, bedroom and chess room, bedrooms or knock down the wall for one large bedroom. switch the kitchen and the bathroom around and knock down the wall from the big main bedroom, so the kitchen can be bigger and there can be an office space for making money.
Basically, it would be one EA house, given a bit of a makeover and emptied so it's a house shell, from each neighborhood, ones that you can live in. The last neighborhood would be Sulani or San Myshuno.
House Shells:
The person or sim players who build the shells, EA house with a makeover, get to pick 3 lot traits and 4 lot challenges. Whether you can remove some, none or all is up to you and the other player, as well as to what you want to do to remove them, if you go with some or all. The house shells will have all the build mode stuff taken care of ahead of time, so you would know what areas are for what. The shells would be empty except for the following:
no light or one light, but not the saucer light
mailbox
outside trash bin or the money bin
and
a bunk bed or tent.
How the house shells would be furnished:
dumpster diving
woodworking table
Completing goals/tasks each day to earn spins on the wheel for that day. The number of goals/tasks per sim day would be decided by you and the other player. Say you and DrGluon or Deli complete 3 of the 4 tasks for that day then you would collectively get 3 spins on the buy mode wheel at the end of that sim day. Maybe if you don't complete any of the tasks, zero for the day, you lost a certain amount of money, a small sum, which would be decided by you and the other player, but that's optional. Maybe set the max number of items you can buy from each slot on the Buy Mode Wheel. This way you still have money for the other spins and not blow all the money on, for example, comfort and leave none for plumbing should one of the other spins land on that.
Buy Mode Wheel slots:
1. Lighting, Electronics, and Appliances
2. Activities and Skills
3. Decorations
4. Plumbing
5. Comfort
6. Surfaces
7. Other (all other categories not listed in 1-6)
Let's be honest, the real winner of this video is Bess.
