Just wanted to chime in and state that not only was I freaking out about this feature, but I ended up using it yesterday and it worked an absolute treat. Thank you again so very much =D
Thank you!! I wondered what that beeping was! I just assumed it was turning the head tracking feature on/off but glad to know it is something more useful 😁
Been telling people to do it this way since like 2016. The RF antenna/receiver is far more powerful than your ears, and has better filtering and directionality. The way you should do it is establish a first line to where the drone likely is. Mark that line somehow (use landmarks for reference or literally lay down a visible line). Then walk laterally and perpendicularly to the first line and form a second line. Get the second line fairly perpendicular to the first. Walk over to where the two lines intersect. X marks the spot.
I got DJI, HDzero and Avatar...but the o4x are still one of my favorite goggles! I didn't know about this feature..I need to start reading manuals again 🤦🏽♂️
you can also use the RSSi method when locating a lost drone.walk until the numbers get higher the closer you are to 99 the closer the drone is.ive used it many times but I'm gonna try this as well. thanks for posting this I've always wondered what the bleeding was for.
It’s a very useful feature and I’m surprised it’s so hidden. They should have had a menu option or something for it. There’s almost no documentation on this.
I had no idea why my Skyzone Cobra Xs were doing that when I held down that button as well and always turned it off immediately. Thanks so much for the explaination, that's actually gonna make retrieval a lot easier, esp when I'm flying my micros or in a large field.
As soon as you started twisting I was expecting some funky music to kick in as if your about to sell me something >.< ..nice tut here.. I didnt occur to me to remove the omni antenna... I recall using Pro58 module flashed with Achillez or Prix and has this function as well..
Don't try this for the first time when you lost your drone at a lake and have no WiFi to look up how to use feature as drone battery is slowly dying with your 3 day old camera on it.
"It also looks really cool and opens up the hips a little bit" 😂🤣😂🤣

Whaaaaat. I've been using them for over 2 years and I didn't know about this. Thanks bud. Quality content as always.
The stomach hold technique is priceless

Hot tips my fellow drone pilot, I own a pair of these googles and love them and now even more.
This video started a bit dry, but you had me at, its also a good workout, "really opens up the hips".
Tracking with the RSSI works great too. I've located fly-away drones 1/2 mile away using RSSI signal.
Thank you!
I was wondering why my Sky04L started to beep after I pressed that wheel.
Thank you, a very useful video. The buzzer is not always audible, and thanks to the goggle trick, I will find the drone much faster.
I think this is the best video i watch thi year how to find my drone with the drone locator lol thank you.
hahaha. Love the Nick Burns ending!!

and here i am still using this method 😅
I've used that feature 2x and would be out 2 planes if it didn't work. I didn't have a patch the first time so it took awhile but it worked.
