I am beginning to get writs. I don't have a snowball's chance of making them. I look them over and then sell them to clear bank space. Still doing my research and I do not have a lot of motifs yet. I will get that add on to make it easier.
you can't simply discount the mats because "you already have them". unlike motifs it's a finite resource and using what you have means you lose them and can no longer either sell them for their value or use them on other products. mats are always included in the cost. whether you have them on hand or not.
I only recently started doing master writs on my crafter (who is not complete yet) and I cannot emphasis how nice it is to be in a guild that has all the attuned sets in their guild house. It would be such a grind without that. Also, I just so happened to decide to buy the Wayrest house with my ESO+ crowns - best decision I made. Just fast travel to my house, step outside and bam, turn them in.
Alchemy and cooking fire might be useful to have at home as they are the kind of thing you use often. Don't see much point in having transmute or attunable armor crafting stations, since how long does it take to say zone into the Rift to craft Hundings? Not long... and it isn't as if you are going to be doing this every day... Can't say that master writs really trigger my aquisition fever :).
Nice video and made sense. The only reason I was semi interested in doing these is for the container space in my house. However, I''ll just buy more bank space and not deal with the headaches these seem to cause financially. (Especially for a new player)

Hm, I’ve got a purple writ, but it’ll give me less vouchers than a blue one we have in our guild bank. So I guess purple writs don’t always give you more vouchers than blue one? And the same with yellow ones?
Awesome info as always! I got my first couple master writs this past week, wound up selling them on the guild store as I didn't have the motifs needed and I already have the tables he sells so am not that worried about it.
I would question the logic of doing something, if you have the mats that wouldn't be profitable, if you didn't. That makes sense where motifs are concerned, because the motif is a one time purchase and you can't sell a motif that you've used, but for all other mats, if it would not be profitable to buy them, then having the mats already doesn't make it profitable. You'd be better off selling the mats and buying the item you wanted the vouchers for. As you said though, it is highly variable. You can find gold writs that give around 200 vouchers and they are in one of the player race styles. Sometimes the amount of vouchers rewarded seems to relate to difficulty and other times not at all. The other thing I would add is that expensive motifs are generally not worth buying and, if you get them, you are probably better off selling them than using them, unless you really want to use that style for your outfit. With there being so many styles and 14 motifs for each, the chances of you getting or being able to find another writ that requires the same expensive motif are relatively low, at least finding it often enough to make it financially viable. Given that there are so many other writs you could buy that use cheap motifs, there doesn't seem to be much point.
Im a scribe 400 however that dont seem like that is my problem Ive been asked a 400 scribe should be able to craft {Writ of Masterful Malice} and {Writs of Masterful Strength} I think there is a lot more to learn than just being a scribe 400 true
why is the attunable station more valuable to posses rather than a normal crafting station, I mean the set station you're copying still exists in overland right, so what's the purpose of copying it? So you don’t have to go to that location, you can just go to your “home” and craft it all. And the research scrolls are once a day, but that would half all your research, it’s kind of worth it I think

I'm level 50 in everything but Enchanting and Jewelry but have been doing dailies for a week and have yet to get a Master Writ. On all the skill lines I have the max Solvent Proficiency, Rubedo Leather, Ruby Ash Wood, Recipe I'm provement Quality etcetera. I've got I'd say half the traits researched on all(wood, blacksmithing clothing) and at least 2 traits of each Alchemy Reagent trait learned(less expensive ones such as Dragons Blood) and 15 Crafting Motifs, and over 30 Recipes of each Food and Drink. Am I just very unlucky? Or am I missing something? Side Note:I realize 12 motifs isn't much, I've only had the game a month. Plan on doing mostly Alchemy Master Writs until my Collection expands.
Can I but an attunable station and use a friend's station in their house to "copy & paste" it a motif to my new attunable station? Otherwise, an awesome video. I just started getting Master Writs in my crafting toon.

I usually do things without thinking first so I did my first master writ in provisioning (the xp thingies) and thought that it works like normal writs that I would still have the items after handing in quest but nooo :( those are kinda pricey as well for a new player.

Are there any Passive Abilities requirements for each trade to get the Master Writ as a daily reward? (not to complete) A.K.A do I have to make level 50 items for the Dailies?
Do you have level 10 in skill for the trades? As in level 10 in metalworking for blacksmithing and so on. Because the daily writs are based on your skill level

I am basically trying to level up my crafting and farming mats, etc. I don't have a huge amount of gold neither. Honestly the only thing that I would like to get from those vendors is the Swift trait thing for jewellery crafting. The chests are attractive to me, but they can be bought in the crown store. I don't know, I see everybody going crazy for this and getting obsessed to do these writs. For me, it is a not the big deal. Or maybe I am missing something else that is very important for my character? Something that I must get and it is only buyable thought vouchers? Please let me know your opinion :D
I actually feel cheated. I just got my first mastercraft writ. I have to make a helmet in the Malacath style. I don't know this style, never found any of the style motifs.

A lot of info -- look at a writ, go to the table the set requires (which didn't know) and show HOW to find this table, HOW to select appropriate item from table, how to choose appropriate trait at table, how to improve at appropriate table. Otherwise a bunch of information, great, and yet you can't do a thing!!!
Dude... When you are a "regular human being" or just older than 30, all this seems as complicated and time- & energy consuming as creating a company in REAL LIFE. WHERE YOU CAN MAKE REAL MONEY, not just gold coins in a dumb videogame. I like this game as an single player MMO for the Lore, the story, the characters, the exploration etc...but just listening to something like this guide here for 5 min...it's beyond ridiculous. It's crazy. It's sick. Seriously And millions of kids melt their brains with shit like this instead of trying to LIVE a decent life and become a decent, happy person. Our Future is fukked.

so you don't need keen eye really, but make sure to grab the research one, more yield from deconstructing, and the uprading items one.
