Scrolling through the comments I'm getting a strong lean to FF7 lol (22 November 2021)
Graphics: goes to OOT, Final Fantasy VII came close only because of the cutscenes which were outstanding for the 90s but overall OOT had better graphics than VII in regular gameplay. Gameplay: goes to OOT, I had a hard time choosing because it was simplicity vs a large variety of awesome moves and spells and summons. OOT gets a little more edge because it is simple and fun. Final Fantasy VII can get annoying sometimes when your out in the world map and constantly having to fight enemies in that certain fighting style. But it is awesome because it gives such a HUGE variety of things to do. Story: goes to FF7, don't get me wrong I loved the OOC story but the only problem is Link doesn't say jack shit so you are pretty much just walking up to people and they tell you what to do and you figure out the rest. In FF7 the story is almost like a movie. You feel for the characters. You can feel for Cloud when Sephiroth Kills Aeris. And when Nanaki tells his backstory about how his father left him and the hatred the had for him only to realize that his father saved his life etc. it's complicated but it's complexity gives it a huge edge.basically the character development gives the edge. Music: goes to ff7, OOT has good music but come on.. Anybody that plays both games is gonna go with ff7 on this one. The music adds so much emotion to the game that it's not even funny. Almost every track is perfect and fits the mood plus it never gets old. It's so good that I had to buy the soundtrack because I liked it that much. If you look up on google greatest video game composer Nobuo Uematsu comes up as #1 he is the music director for ff7. Greatest villain: Sephiroth, ganondorf is so obvious you can tell what his entire motive is. Sephiroth is a mommas boy but his story is sad. He is a clone of Cloud and what's cooler than that? Plus Sephiroth is an awesome swordsman. And he does everything so smoothly as if it was all part of planned. You can never tell what sephiroth plans to do next. Greatest in game activities: This is almost a tie but OOT gets a little more advantage. All the miniganes and such are so fun you really don't get tired of searching for hearts and golden Skulltullas. Great Main Character: Cloud, link doesn't say shit, cloud does and it goes in depth with backstory. Overall I give it to FF7 because of the awesome story. Plus it has a wider and more creative room than OOT did since it was rated T it could expand in many ways dark as in funny and sad moments. Nintendo makes everything E and E*10 so they don't get as much room as ff7 did.
Look I 100% completed both games okay getting every piece of heart, gold skulltula and defeating emerald and ruby weapon in FF7.. They are both EPIC in their own right. Zelda OOT as a single hero Action RPG is by far the best.. FF7 as a true RPG is possibly not the best (because their are so many RPGs) but let me finish... FF7 as a total package (Music, textures, combat system, story, etc..) is the best game ever made period. Games like Skyrim come close an there 14 yrs after FF7..
Atmosphere: Zelda Ocarina Graphics: Final Fantasy VII Gameplay: Zelda Ocarina Story: Final Fantasy VII (By far) Envoirment: Zelda Ocarina Soundtrack: Tie, both have masterpiece OST Both are some of the best games of all time You see pretty much every Top 10 games of all time have Zelda Ocarina of Time and Final Fantasy VII and even maybe Zelda A Link to the Past and Final Fantasy VI However, if you see a overall Top Best Game of all time list, Zelda Ocarina of Time is number 1 and Final Fantasy VII around number 3, just behind Zelda OoT and Super Mario 64
@@cheeseburgerthe1st602 the game doesn't really do a good job clarifying which memories belong to Cloud and which ones are fabricated by the Jenova cells?
I love both of these games, I'm not going to babble on like everyone else and say that one is better then the other, because both of them are very different types of games, and surprise everyone, both games are amazing! I simply love both equally. :)
This is an old video but I'd like to give my 2 cents. For me this is literally my all time favorite game (Zelda Ocarina of Time) vs my second favorite game of all time (Final Fantasy 7). You might think that I would flat out say Ocarina of Time since it's my number 1 and FF7 is my number 2, but it's more complicated than that. See these 2 games had MASSIVE impacts on me as a gamer. They impacted me at different times in life as well. Also these 2 games are insanely close for me, like down to the wire almost. To start with both had amazing plots. While yes, FF7 does have a deeper plot that's much longer, the quality of that plot does suffer in a few spots. Zelda OoT though, that plot, while not as long, is pretty high quality all the way through. Second I want to mention that comparing a JRPG to an Action/Adventure game (and yes Zelda OoT IS an action/adventure, not an RPG, I dunno how anyone says it's an RPG when it doesn't have leveling, random battles, exp, and so on) is pretty hard to do accurately. JRPGs are designed to follow plot and that's the driving force behind the game. Action/Adventure games are generally more action heavy with sometimes some puzzle elements thrown in. One focuses on plot and the other on game play. So with that out of the way, here's my actual break down of which is best. Both/Neither. They do different things. What OoT does, it does much better than FF7 could ever do. However, what FF7 does, it does better than OoT could ever do. I know I praised OoT's plot more than FF7's, but that doesn't mean that there is as much content in the plot. The point I was making is that the quality of what is present doesn't dip too far down below a high average in the case of OoT, but in FF7 there are more boring parts that do show up here and there. FF7 has a plot that is deep, covers many characters in their own developments and deeper aspects of plot. OoT just doesn't have the same amount of story and because of that, even as good as the plot in OoT is, it still suffers from the lack of depth. That said, OoT is a MUCH better game when it comes to engaging game play. FF7 is meant to be more about strategy not action. Because of this, even though FF7 does have good game play, it will never compare to OoT's game play. As a HUGE fan of both games, in terms of "which game is better" it's a tie. Now if you ask "which game do you like more" that's a 100% subjective question and it comes down to personal opinion about what's more important, game play or plot. For me OoT is more enjoyable by just a bit more. That said, FF7 is a game I love nearly as much. These games are by far some of the greatest ones created and are rightfully deserving of the praise they have gotten over the years.
You are wrong in the part where you say that OoT has better gameplay than FF 7 simply because of the fact that the battle system is way more complex and deep, richer, and more complex than what an action game can offer you, being a strategy game. So FF 7 actually beats OoT in almost all aspects (better, wider, longer, more detailed and because of that, taken to a next level narrative, story, soundtrack, characters, battle system and gameplay). FF 7, both games having all of their aspects at a really good level, wins because in the crude comparison of them all, FF 7 has everything more in depth, and better development of all of them.
I'm not sure about this... While straight up innovation, it's clear that OoT was phenomenal. (Less we not forget Link to the Past). OoT defined a sense of vastness that paled in comparison prior to it. However, FFVII pushed the limitations of 3D animation. Followed shortly after FFVIII; which is still the best cinematics on PlayStation. What OoT did great, FF expanded upon. I feel that (oddly) both games covered all aspects of what gaming should be.
From a technical standing point OOT is one of the few games that is not overrated, objectively. It was the first game to have a night-day cycle, an action button (1997 IGN review praises this everyday thing as revolutionary), Z-targeting system, insane draw distance on 3D backgrounds, a simple yet cohesive plot and excellent level design. All this and it fit on a cartridge (basically an SSD) on a 64 bit system. Now ask yourself, what is the difference between twilight princess and this 64-bit game? You can say the old 'it was great for its time' excuse for many games, but from a technical standing point, as a 90's kid, this game was a masterpiece and met the hype. Only game to get 99% on Metacritic and it will be praised as revolutionary for as long as gaming stands.
allypezz To be fair, some of the greatest RPGs (yes I'd count OoT as one) of all time have a simple story. From preventing an organization who is bent on destroying the world, to a princess in another castle... RPGs core story are simple, it's the depth of the characters that really makes or breaks it. OoT had an action button... I don't even recall a game that doesn't except for side scrolling, and that's an attack button. I wouldn't call that revolutionary, but I would give the targeting system it's rightful praise. To create a game based in today's world, it's damn near impossible to have an original idea. 90% of the story lines have been told in movies, previous games, or even just table-top role playing game nights. (Again, the best stories are simple, so all great RPGs really start with the same few premises). Mechanically speaking, game engines develop and new features are added, but is it really ever ground-breaking - no. (Though I suppose the new Resident Evil is). OoT's day/night cycle... that's one of those details that is easily overlooked I think. It made the open map feel larger to some degree. I think one of the things that should be noted for both of these games is that - there wasn't a website to find answers on, let alone data farming. The game was, as it is. If you saw parts, you saw them. If you beat something, you beat it. There was no user reviews or Internet to cloud your purchasing/player judgement. Your friends played, you played (or tried to). It was gaming. You either hated it or you loved it, there wasn't really an in-between for most games.
But it is ground breaking! How many games before that were plagued with loading screens and different levels? This was 1997 and they managed to make the first attempt of an open-world game. Now don't get me wrong, FF has a world map but it's really just a placeholder for getting to different zones. Hyrule was a zone in itself. Try the analogy of saying 'here's unreal 4, now go make a game' to game developers in 1992. Would you expect them to make Witcher 3 straight from Super Mario? This has taken years of evolution, coding and thinking outside the box. OOT did this in ONE step. Simply put, Zelda went from Link's Awakening to OOT without any inbetween.
allypezz No argument here. I just don't see the action button being ground breaking. The rest is totally true. FFVII I would agree as well. It wasn't particularly an open world map. It had qualities of this, but there really wasn't anything to do. It added depth - no doubt, but was not ingrained into the game experience. Hyrule was a 3D 'open' world that expanded upon the norm of any game. It's unfortunate that I had to go back years later to play it, as pre-Gamecube there was no Internet in our 'neck of the woods' neighborhood. I couldn't just order whatever I wanted. So eventually a friend had picked it up on the Gamecube (loved that system!). I think the same nostalgia for most people of OoT, is Morrowind for myself. It's games like these (all), you simply don't experience very often.
True, there are some things to love about the Legend of Zelda franchise. Its first appearance on NES was a breakthrough that still influences game design to this day, and it’s timeless story of a young hero and a princess in need of rescue will softly whisper through the ages. For all its greatness, though, it is far from perfect. Strictly for the haters, here are 10 reasons that FFVII overshadowed the whole franchise. 1. Zelda barely ever changes over the years 2. Water Temples Many consider Ocarina of Time to be not only the best Zelda game ever, but the best video game ever. Well, they’re wrong. Ocarina established one of the most frustrating recurring levels in any game ever: the Water Temple. Hey, speaking of things that come back like a bad rash.. 3. Zelda's supporting cast mostly sucks 4. Zelda is nothing but loads of recycled games 5. Navi You get that picture.. 6. Link has no voice, but still doesn't shut up You’d think a company like Nintendo would have plenty of money to plow into the development of its lead franchises. Yet for some reason, Link has shouted the same "Hyea! Hyea! Hyeaaaaa!" since 1998. What’s the matter? Bigshots can’t afford a simple recording session? In that same period of time, Link has had numerous visual makeovers. Would it kill you to mix up the audio a little? 7. FFVII had better plot development C'mon now.. Link wasn't getting anywhere with this princess. 8. Majora’s Mask Too weird and complicated. Too serious. Wind Waker Not weird and complicated enough. Not serious enough. Twilight Princess Too serious. Not enough world density. Skyward Sword Too much world density. Not serious enough. 9. Back in my day you didn't need to play a fucking song to open a door 10. Time Paradoxes Never was a fan of peter pan. Truth be told, if FFVII ever got a remake, the hype would be so real, the entire zelda franchise would be left in the dust.
My friend a Zelda fan told me (and I am not making this up) : the ff1 copied ocarina of time , (because you time travel ) Seriously Zelda fans? I know ocarina is popular but that the first from final fantasy is a rip of of this is absurd
They're not really comparable. FF7 is a true, classic JRPG and OoT is an action-adventure RPG. It's like asking, "What's better Mario Kart or Gran Turismo?" Sure they're both racing games, just like OoT and FF7 are both RPGs, but they're so different it's not really a fair comparison. I think it'd be better to compare Zelda games to Okami or Alundra and compare FF games to Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger or Chrono Cross, or the Tales series
If I take only Oot and compare it to ff7 i would slightly rather prefer ff7 cause of the depth of and the bonusquests u can do after u had actually finished the game (beating weapons and chocobo stuff and mastersubstances). But i personally think that eventho Oot is a standalone game i always combine it with majoras mask. The fact that i even think majoras is better than oot i'd say that the n64 zelda franchise is even to ff7.
There both VERY good games.... One doesn't have to be bad for the other to be good. I liked them both the same... I think I was more in love with OOT to be honest.
Final Fantasy VII: Epic story extremely complex, Faboluos graphics (for the 1997) and incredibile unique gameplay. Zelda: Ocarina of Time: Epic story, but is not complex, Faboulos graphics (for the 1998) but the cartridge's have limited the game, beauty gameplay and particular. I've play Zelda and FFVII, and i prefer FFVII
Great games... both definitely make my top 5. But I like them both for different reasons. OoT is like a Disney classic; perfect (yes perfect) depiction of a hero saving a princess against evil. FF7 is deeper- In a Star Wars type of way aka Its about a man finding out who he really is and coming to peace with it (again done perfectly). Both awesome topics to make games on, but very hard to compare. My vote is honestly ff7=oot.
ill take that in college. and the reason why sephiroth wanted to was because of jenova. she was sort of telling him what to do in a way. so really if you think about it jenova is the villain in a way. based on what you have been writing you will love ff9s antagonist although his appearance is odd ill admit. well its your opinion of ff,i personally completely disagree except the part that loz is overall a better series.
For now though ocarina of time! It's just so amazing! And not to mention fun, and some of the best side quests I've gone on, that and I love the time travel and exploring the massive world! And btw I just got into the beggining of FF7 and am going to the next sector. And so far I like it! Not as much as Ocarina of Time yet (not that deep into the story) but who knows FF7 might come out on top!
my vote goes for FFVII. Dont get me wrong, im not a sonyer (I had N64, psx and currently a 360). I must admit that zelda OOT have so many fans, but I simply got more enganged with FVII history, combat system and their characters. I feel OOT as another zelda like links awakening or link to the past. OOT had the acomplisement of being the best adventure-rpg game in N64, BUT If square enix had a final fantasy (and OOT lovers would have more choices to play) for N64, things would be a lot different.
I say they are TIED for the best video game of all time. We're on the PS4 and Xbox One. These two games are generations old at this point and they are still the best games ever.
If you compare final fantasy to dragon quest that might make fans thank a little both game got a lot of thing in common . Just like at the battle combat system rpg style.
Isnt a fact, only for zelda fans ( your name means you are one of those , but you cant say that cause you dont have the undeniable truth above everyone else). There is a whole new world outside nintendo and their tradermark games, one of those is FF VII. FFVII is deeper, better history, better music, better character designs and so on. The only acomplishement of ocarina of time was just being one of the better adventure-rpg games that N64 had ( although it was not a hard competition, N64 lacks of good rpg games).
I know about FF, my friend like that franchise. Nintendo always prefer gameplay more than the story. Look at the fact, Ocarina of time has more perfect score, you have to read an article at wikipedia. It is your opinion, I've played FF 7 and its lack of story but maybe it just me because I dont really like RPG
Ocarina of time, just check the general press opinions. People may like rpg's better, but ffVii is another rpg, nothing new except the context (storyline, characters (which btw match with the stereotypical anime story/characters, so it's basically an interactive anime)), zelda fuckin invented a new way to move and interact with the world around, among other virtues
ok it isnt an action adventure with a few rpg elements, whatever floats your boat. and a person who desires chaos and just wants chaos is pretty damn evil.ganon wants to take over a nation when sephiroth wants to destroy a planet, kefka wants total destruction, exdeath wants to destroy everything etc. these villains had the power to do so and their motive was either revenge or appetite for destruction. thats not a great villian whos just insane? hahaha wow no taste
Damn it I'm not going to give my one million reasons on why one mostly better than the other just think to yourself FF7 doesn't have Navi ... enough said (I love them both).
it holds some rpg elements genius. and no its from critic companies not fans, and how is wanting to destroy being crappy for a villian? and kidnapping a princess is not? hahaha
Anything great in entertainment or theatre consists of a cast of characters with themes (creates individualism), a great story, good fundamentals (gameplay or if a movie , good plot) terrific music.. etc Star Wars did this.. FF7 does this, Even Seinfeld does this to a degree. Overall opinion FF7 does this so much BETTER than Zelda OOT. Any true gamer knows this..
ill take that dare. 9 n10 are pretty good and u got one part right, final fantasy has better character depth, story and music. zelda has the best gameplay and open world
Final Fantasy 7 was one of the best games ever made. COT was a sensational game but didnt have the depth and beauty of FF7. FF7 is still playable till this very day and the game has sprung all sorts of sequels and films.
u nintendo fanboys think loz is like the only great series.least i can admit their both great series i love em both.its fine u like loz over ff, but to say loz is 3 TIMES BETTER? now ur just fooling urself
i think The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time is best... but that's propably because i crew up with the game, and have never played any Final Fantasy game...
Final Fantasy 7 is a much better game but that doesnt mean Zelda isnt good. I think Zelda's story line was dull and unoriginal. I think a lot of people prefered Zelda because they do not like turn based fighting and too much reading.
ocarina of time, i played both. but i for whatever reason absolutely hated the story line and characters in ff7, (ff6 was better than 7 in my eyes) 7 is possibly the most over-rated game in my eyes. most people probably prefer 7 due to what you can find on google when safesearch is off
My vote goes to FF7 there is no best game of all time. Taste will never be accurate. There are plenty of other games that can be arguably better than the two doesn't mean it's fact. All to the taste.
I've played ff 1 2 5 and 12 so I can't argue against 7, but for what I've been told the story is great but you could tell it is an anime storyline (very-anime I've been told) with that type of exagerated japanesse melodrama (I like anime but hate it when it gets dramatic), I know nothing else that's bad about ff 7, maybe that thing on ff that they get repetitive as hell, that feeling you are doing the same thing over and over, I think in that aspect zelda beats the fuck outta every ff
FUCK THAT SHIT! I hate anime cartoons but FFVII is like the greatest thing I've ever experienced. It's a story about life and death. A story about saving the planet and the environment with complex character stories about a hero figuring out who he truly is. Sorry man, I've watched animes like Akira and Vampire Hunter D and others and couldn't get into it much.
look i love both zelda and ff. ill admit zelda is a better series due to some bad games in ff. i personally liked ff7 coz im more about story and music but 7 isnt my fav. thatll be 6. if a person wants a game with great story play a classic ff game if u want awesome adventure and fun gameplay play a loz game.their both master peices but cant be compared coz of totally different style of rpgs, but dont fucken say loz is 3 times better because thats BULLSHIT in its purest form
Zelda=childhood expectations of life in the future.
FF7= teenage expectations of life in the future.

Ff7, had a more good storyline and had the best characters.
OOT is so much betterrr
Yup! BotW! Is better but OoT is still amazing!
(Im spanish)The Legend Of Zelda it´s winner, because TLOZ have very more time. Is my opination. I love TLOZ x´D
Hola vengo a debatir acerca de tu opinión
It's a loser FF7 better
Look I 100% completed both games okay getting every piece of heart, gold skulltula and defeating emerald and ruby weapon in FF7.. They are both EPIC in their own right. Zelda OOT as a single hero Action RPG is by far the best.. FF7 as a true RPG is possibly not the best (because their are so many RPGs) but let me finish... FF7 as a total package (Music, textures, combat system, story, etc..) is the best game ever made period. Games like Skyrim come close an there 14 yrs after FF7..
Atmosphere: Zelda
Ocarina
Graphics: Final Fantasy
VII
Gameplay: Zelda
Ocarina
Story: Final Fantasy VII (By far)
Envoirment: Zelda
Ocarina
Soundtrack: Tie, both have masterpiece OST
Both are some of the best games of all time
You see pretty much every Top 10 games of all time have Zelda Ocarina of Time and Final Fantasy VII and even maybe Zelda A Link to the Past and Final Fantasy VI
However, if you see a overall Top Best Game of all time list, Zelda Ocarina of Time is number 1 and Final Fantasy VII around number 3, just behind Zelda OoT and Super Mario 64
Something I couldn't really grasp. Was the dude with the black hair named Zack and the main character's name is Cloud or was that visa versa?
Correct. Black hair is Zack and blond hair and main character is Cloud.
So it’s like they are bros and Zack went ded so sad boi cloud had a mental breakdown and turned into basically Zack
Considering both respecting games impacts on the industry I have to give it to Ocarina of Time. OoT just did more for the industry as a whole.
Only game to get 99% on Metacritic and it will be praised as revolutionary for as long as gaming stands.
allypezz
To be fair, some of the greatest RPGs (yes I'd count OoT as one) of all time have a simple story.
Simply put, Zelda went from Link's Awakening to OOT without any inbetween.
allypezz
No argument here.
It's games like these (all), you simply don't experience very often.
final fantasy (2x3)+1
They R both great For me final fantasy 7
True, there are some things to love about the Legend of Zelda franchise. Its first appearance on NES was a breakthrough that still influences game design to this day, and it’s timeless story of a young hero and a princess in need of rescue will softly whisper through the ages. For all its greatness, though, it is far from perfect. Strictly for the haters, here are 10 reasons that FFVII overshadowed the whole franchise.
1. Zelda barely ever changes over the years
2. Water Temples
Many consider Ocarina of Time to be not only the best Zelda game ever, but the best video game ever. Well, they’re wrong. Ocarina established one of the most frustrating recurring levels in any game ever: the Water Temple. Hey, speaking of things that come back like a bad rash..
3. Zelda's supporting cast mostly sucks
4. Zelda is nothing but loads of recycled games
5. Navi
You get that picture..
6. Link has no voice, but still doesn't shut up
You’d think a company like Nintendo would have plenty of money to plow into the development of its lead franchises.
7. FFVII had better plot development
C'mon now.. Link wasn't getting anywhere with this princess.
8. Majora’s Mask
Too weird and complicated.
Too serious.
Wind Waker
Not weird and complicated enough.
Not serious enough.
Twilight Princess
Too serious.
Not enough world density.
Skyward Sword
Too much world density.
Not serious enough.
9. Back in my day you didn't need to play a fucking song to open a door
10. Time Paradoxes
Never was a fan of peter pan.
Truth be told, if FFVII ever got a remake, the hype would be so real, the entire zelda franchise would be left in the dust.
green tea Funny you say that...kotaku.com/final-fantasy-vii-remake-announced-for-ps4-1711559466
Scotty Hickson I know, man.. This is going to be Kardashian ass big.
Hahaha stupid coment...
My answer is.... yes!
Final fantasy 7 100% cloud would murder link and kratos would kill them all
My friend a Zelda fan told me (and I am not making this up)
: the ff1 copied ocarina of time , (because you time travel )
Seriously Zelda fans?
I know ocarina is popular but that the first from final fantasy is a rip of of this is absurd
u started a war of final fantasy fans and Zelda fans I cant choose doe I like them both
They're not really comparable.
Final Fantasy VII because there a remake coming out
Jamie Hamilton remake for OOT came out in 2011 tho
If I take only Oot and compare it to ff7 i would slightly rather prefer ff7 cause of the depth of and the bonusquests u can do after u had actually finished the game (beating weapons and chocobo stuff and mastersubstances).
But i personally think that eventho Oot is a standalone game i always combine it with majoras mask. The fact that i even think majoras is better than oot i'd say that the n64 zelda franchise is even to ff7.
Oot destroys ff7. Not even close. Love ff series but when I think boss fights and dungeons and adventure Oot is what I think of.
Daniel ff7 have better characters, story, and gameplay than loz
i actually recently got my 3ds,never had the regular ds,its a really fun console. are the spirit tracks and phantom hourglass games pretty good?
There both VERY good games.... One doesn't have to be bad for the other to be good. I liked them both the same... I think I was more in love with OOT to be honest.
I'm with zelda ocarina of time
Final Fantasy VII: Epic story extremely complex, Faboluos graphics (for the 1997) and incredibile unique gameplay.
OOT ALL THE WAY!
Awwwwww yeah! ^_^
I would say FF7 just because its longer than zelda
ill take that in college. and the reason why sephiroth wanted to was because of jenova. she was sort of telling him what to do in a way. so really if you think about it jenova is the villain in a way. based on what you have been writing you will love ff9s antagonist although his appearance is odd ill admit. well its your opinion of ff,i personally completely disagree except the part that loz is overall a better series.
Ocarina of time. Still gotta finish FF7 before my vote is final though
#Steam
For now though ocarina of time! It's just so amazing! And not to mention fun, and some of the best side quests I've gone on, that and I love the time travel and exploring the massive world! And btw I just got into the beggining of FF7 and am going to the next sector. And so far I like it! Not as much as Ocarina of Time yet (not that deep into the story) but who knows FF7 might come out on top!
Gameover100III did you beat it
FF7 > OOT .. but you def have to be more specific like which has a better story, which has better gameplay, etc
zelda without a doubt
Ocarina of Time is a much better game than FFVII
Oot vs final fantasy 7 can't compare rpg vs adventure quest.
I think you never played FFVII...
It’s his opinion
my vote goes for FFVII.
Final Fantasy 7
great story and villain but the character designs were like wtf is that haha
If you compare final fantasy to dragon quest that might make fans thank a little both game got a lot of thing in common . Just like at the battle combat system rpg style.
Ocarina of Time of course, it's a fact.
I like EarthBound the best of ALL
0:47 actually happened and 0:57 sounds like something God would say
Ocarina of time, just check the general press opinions. People may like rpg's better, but ffVii is another rpg, nothing new except the context (storyline, characters (which btw match with the stereotypical anime story/characters, so it's basically an interactive anime)), zelda fuckin invented a new way to move and interact with the world around, among other virtues
The Z-Targeting system made it's way into so many action games after OoT. I love it.
Vote goes to zelda just for being an action game. Played through FF7 many times too though.
and its pretty slow at the beginning
TLoZ: OOT > FF7
I find it better then FF7 plus is nostalgic for me.
Personally I'm the opposite but like you I also might be blinded by nostalgia. I haven't finished oot yet
Final Fantasy VII is vastly better.
ok it isnt an action adventure with a few rpg elements, whatever floats your boat. and a person who desires chaos and just wants chaos is pretty damn evil.ganon wants to take over a nation when sephiroth wants to destroy a planet, kefka wants total destruction, exdeath wants to destroy everything etc. these villains had the power to do so and their motive was either revenge or appetite for destruction. thats not a great villian whos just insane? hahaha wow no taste
Lol at the Obama reflection joke XD
Ocerina of Time
Damn it I'm not going to give my one million reasons on why one mostly better than the other just think to yourself FF7 doesn't have Navi ... enough said (I love them both).
it holds some rpg elements genius. and no its from critic companies not fans, and how is wanting to destroy being crappy for a villian? and kidnapping a princess is not? hahaha
OCARINA OF TIME AND FFVII MY 2 FAVORITE GAMES OF ALL TIME BOTH ARE EPIC
uve obviously havent played the classic final fantasys and yes i have played ocarina
Anything great in entertainment or theatre consists of a cast of characters with themes (creates individualism), a great story, good fundamentals (gameplay or if a movie , good plot)
terrific music.. etc Star Wars did this..
OoT
LOZ FTW
@MrFreeman626 youre right i havent
dragon quest 8>wind waker>ff6=twilight princess>ocarina>ff7=link to the past>ff8
ocarina of time definately
u nintendo fanboys think loz is like the only great series.least i can admit their both great series i love em both.its fine u like loz over ff, but to say loz is 3 TIMES BETTER? now ur just fooling urself
i think The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time is best... but that's propably because i crew up with the game, and have never played any Final Fantasy game...
Final Fantasy 7 is a much better game but that doesnt mean Zelda isnt good. I think Zelda's story line was dull and unoriginal. I think a lot of people prefered Zelda because they do not like turn based fighting and too much reading.
ocarina of time, i played both. but i for whatever reason absolutely hated the story line and characters in ff7, (ff6 was better than 7 in my eyes)
7 is possibly the most over-rated game in my eyes. most people probably prefer 7 due to what you can find on google when safesearch is off
Link beats up Cloud
Guys let's be real loz attp (a link to the past) vs ff6 (final fantasy 6) jk.
#finalfantasyVII
Ocarina of time by far!!!!!!!!
Its very close. I had more fun with OOT, FF7 had some boring moments I was totally lost alot...
Oot is no 2 game of all time
Ff7 is number 3
My vote goes to FF7 there is no best game of all time. Taste will never be accurate. There are plenty of other games that can be arguably better than the two doesn't mean it's fact. All to the taste.
FINALLLL FANNNTAAASSSSYYYYY 7 LOL THT GAME WAS SO EPIC AND THE STORY LINE IS CRAZZZYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!
true
FF > ZELDA
FF7
FF7 isn't even the best FF. That's FF3 (FF6)
Some say LttP is the best Zelda so yeahhh....goes both ways.
i cant
Neither they're both overrated, ff7 is better tho :3
FINAL FANTASY Vll IS THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME.
Brenton u drug ocarina of time better facts
Ocarina
Brenton Dude OTT is vastly superior
look i love both zelda and ff. ill admit zelda is a better series due to some bad games in ff. i personally liked ff7 coz im more about story and music but 7 isnt my fav. thatll be 6. if a person wants a game with great story play a classic ff game if u want awesome adventure and fun gameplay play a loz game.their both master peices but cant be compared coz of totally different style of rpgs, but dont fucken say loz is 3 times better because thats BULLSHIT in its purest form
legend of zelda ocarina of time
ocarina of time god like
