This solution work on Lenovo Thinkpad X200 Table: enter in bios with jumper. mac address must be missing enter in security and open the change password at this point remove the jumper wait some seconds (5 sec) leave password blank and press ok go to main main and check if there is available mac if the mac address is present then save the configuration and restart your computer. you should enter in bios without password. Thank you so much Apna! This worked for my T500 made in 2010. The eeprom was on the backside, so I had to place computer vertical in a vice, and use external monitor. I used paperclip for the jumper. I also remove the jumper as soon as I entered set supervisor password, then I made the password blank, then I save bios settings and bingo, voila, presto.. !! Supervisor password removed! But when I remove the jumper it will not let me enter the password to change it, it says my password is invalid. As soon as the jumper is removed the computer is locked again. i don't think it can help you, if you have spi programmer then make a backup of this eeprom and fill it with ff and resold on board to check what happen ( i think you will loose mac address and get some error on startup but you can access the bios).

if your motherboard is wistron lz57, i think you can unlock with out eeprom method, just locate the G2201 and make the jumper and turn on the laptop and you should enter in bios.
Okay sir, so what you are saying is that if correct EEPROM is identified that has the BIOS info, shorting will mostly do the job and password will vanish. What info I can give you from my motherboard so you can tell me its the correct one, should I give you a list of all ICs with their print lable on top and then you can tell me.

try to make jumper on short pads under RAM, locate JME1 & JCMOS2 and make the jumper and turn on computer and check if password is removed and let me know.

Hi. It's a nice work, very impressive. I have a Lenovo ThinkPad L420 with an unknown BIOS supervisor password. The supervisor password is "ENABLED" and greyed out. I found the EEPROM BIOS chip on the motherboard under the palmrest and followed your procedure to short PIN5&6 after powering up. I then hit F1 and got into the BIOS security page and saw the supervisor password was "DISABLED". I entered 12345 as new password while still kept the PIN5&6 shorted just like you did. I then released PIN5&6. Upon rebooting back I found the BIOS supervisor password is "ENABLED" and greyed out on security page again just like nothing ever happened. I saw the MAC ADD had numbers on the screen even the PIN5&6 were shorted. Your MAC ADD was disappeared when you shorted PIN5&6. I tried three times to no avail. Any solutions for that? I need your help Please. I can send you the pictures that I took before and after the procedure if it can help you to see what happened.

On my R500, I welded pin 5 and 6, I access the BIOS, I set the password to whatever (tried 123, 12345, ), waited 5s, removed jumper, waited 5s, returned to main menu, then no way to change the password after that. Sir, also I do not have the datasheet of atmeel1025 and schematic of W510. But I found the schematic of W520, which looks similar to W510. The pinout of the eeprom is same but not the part no. Also the resistors and capacitors levels around the eeprom is same. Pin no. 5 is leveled SPISI & no. 6 is leveled SPISCK. If you need I can send you the schematic and the pic of the eeprom from the motherboard. So you have to give me your email id. Thank you.

In Len T500 EEPROM is on the other side of motherboard (called U77). The same procedure but remove jumper when you confirm new supervisor password

I think u must reflash the bios with working dump file.

depend on which eeprom you apply this process, if you select the wrong eeprom, the something may go wrong on the mainboard.

Hello, I have an ideapad y510r that's locked up with bios password and the mb #'s VIQY1 NM-QA032 Rev:1 . 0 2013-03-14 .I have the mb out and can't locate this bios chip that you have here on yr video ,is this an oversight my me or can't this be done on my board ? thanks

try to make jumper on short pads under RAM, locate JME1 & JCMOS2 and make the jumper and turn on computer and check if password is removed and let me know.

OK, so I can't figure out in the video where he's attaching these jumpers at. I don't see any little multipin black square things in the location he jumped them from.
Hi. It's a nice work, very impressive. I have a Lenovo ThinkPad L420 with an unknown BIOS supervisor password. The supervisor password is "ENABLED" and greyed out. I found the EEPROM BIOS chip on the motherboard under the palmrest and followed your procedure to short PIN5&6 after powering up. I then hit F1 and got into the BIOS security page and saw the supervisor password was "DISABLED". I entered 12345 as new password while still kept the PIN5&6 shorted just like you did. I then released PIN5&6. Upon rebooting back I found the BIOS supervisor password is "ENABLED" and greyed out on security page again just like nothing ever happened. I saw the MAC ADD had numbers on the screen even the PIN5&6 were shorted. Your MAC ADD was disappeared when you shorted PIN5&6. I tried three times to no avail. Any solutions for that? I need your help Please. I can send you the pictures that I took before and after the procedure if it can help you to see what happened.

Not tested yet but if you find the eeprom you can try at your own risk.
It almost the same my R61(14" wd model) but when i set the pass 12345 and then release the jumper. The first page it learn mac was show. Go back to set pass 12345. It tell me incorrect pass. So. I can't fill in blank pass to remove password. Please help.
Maybe your bios have disabile bios password function where u can disabile with 12345 password that u set.

try to set empty Password (No password) and remove jumper wait 5 sec and then Save settings.

Hi, what have you done differently ? On my R500, I welded pin 5 and 6, I access the BIOS, I set the password to whatever (tried 123, 12345, ), waited 5s, removed jumper, waited 5s, returned to main menu, then no way to change the password after that. Also, the MAC address displays well, but the uuid remains fffffff(...).
I tried to save at different moments, etc. No way.
Any idea ?

Thank you for your response sir. The Laptop model is Lenovo Thinkpad W510 and Motherboard part no. is MB08271-3 and the motherboard has nvidia GPU. Also I forgot to mention yesterday that when I short the pin no. 5 & 6 the display hangs showing Thinkpad logo. Thank You.

Sir, also I do not have the datasheet of atmeel1025 and schematic of W510. But I found the schematic of W520, which looks similar to W510. The pinout of the eeprom is same but not the part no. Also the resistors and capacitors levels around the eeprom is same. Pin no. 5 is leveled SPISI & no. 6 is leveled SPISCK. If you need I can send you the schematic and the pic of the eeprom from the motherboard. So you have to give me your email id. Thank you.
