This was the best tutorial ive seen. Just installed sunstar 13t front sprocket opened up exhaust (took the spark arrestor out)and airbox, and about to do the ejk. Excited to see how the bike feels going from completely stock to this
These really are awesome and quite simple. Exact same product that was initially marketed as Patriot Top Fueler. These pirate info going back and forth between the O2 sensors and injectors to the onboard ECM...and then do their thing. For the price ya just can't beat them.
I'm sure what you're feeling is less about the one or two extra horsepower, and more about the total added volume under the curve. Sounds promising, I just bought an FZ-07 that had one installed and the thing is a monster. I'm going to have to look into tuning the options.
You’re absolutely right about area under the curve. That is the “power” you actually feel while riding and it really did transform this bike without it feeling over-powered for what it is.
I'm pretty sure the fuel consumption does go up a but, it depends on how rich you decide to tune it as well as what kind of engine mods you do. I'll be checking my mpg the next time I fill up. I'll probably be using a lot more throttle now just for the fun of it which will also use up more fuel!
Bought a bike with one of these installed. Is there a reset I can make? Or should I just set it in the middle? I get the green/ yellow/red thing but blue flashing I have no idea. Idle isn't the best at times.
@@FXSTB-i it’s been a while since I’ve programmed one and I don’t have this bike anymore. If the bike feels good and runs well, I’d just leave it as-is. If you want to play with it, then review how to program it. I’m sorry I don’t have a more clear answer for you.
I have no personal experience with the big bore kits. A channel called Kory’s Rides has several good videos on the subject. If I remember his conclusion correctly, he had very poor reliability and significant vibration which lead him to reverting back to stock. For that big of a change in airflow, a custom ECU and a dyno tune would be HIGHLY recommended.
Sort of. The header and muffler and stock but I swapped out the spark arrestor which increases flow a bit. I have two videos on it if you need details.
@@Casey_Schmidt Awesome man, I appreciate the response and I will definitely check them out.. I have been Searching the internet for information. I'm probably picking up a 2017 this weekend.. And I am trying to figure out if I can work with the stock exhaust and see a benefit from the EJK.
@@drunko_andrews beware of the big bore kits. From what I’ve seen and read about, they do work but it also do not work anywhere near as well as the factory setup. I can remember the channel name but there is a guy who did an amazing video series about installing the big bore kit and then reverting back to stock. It’s definitely worth watching.
I would very much like to have a 250 F. But the only thing that kind of frustrates me about EFI bikes is the price you pay for uncorking. That tuner is $200+. And on a carbureted bike all you need is patience, know how, and a few small parts that don't cost very much. I'm not complaining by saying one is better than the other, it's just an observation.
Carbs are simple and cheap to mod but have a lot of reliability headaches. EFI does away with the headaches but introduces costs. It’s a trade off. Personally, I’m will to accept the disadvantages of EFI to able to enjoy its benefits.

Very good tutorial! Thank you!
Air box custom mod will all made even better
I did a simply intake mod shortly after adding the EJK. I like things to be reversible.
@@Casey_Schmidt thank you that is smart i think in same direction
Seems really simple to fit. I'm impressed. I wonder if you'll notice any difference in fuel consumption.

@@Casey_Schmidt Hey thanks anyway mate 👌
Do you have any thoughts on programing for a 250 to 300 big bore? MT Pockets wasn't much help.

Did it eliminate the throttle jerkiness al low RPMs, or the 250L doesn't have this issue like the 300L does?
I don’t know if it was the EJK or if I just got used to it but I haven’t noticed the on/off throttle problem for a very very long time.
What wind shield is that you have

Would anyone know if an EJK tuner would be useful for a yoshimura RS-2 full exhaust system on a CRF250f?
Does it work as well on a crf250f?
I’m not sure if this exact version does, but they probably sell one that does.
did u buy one? i’m thinking of buying one but idk what it really adds
Was this with stock exhaust

@@jonny4182 for me, the biggest benefit of the aftermarket exhaust is weight reduction. Good luck, I hope you enjoy the bike!
What about fuel consumption?
It’s slightly higher especially if you are using higher throttle settings.
Hey, does it work on a crf250l 2019?
I think it does since it’s the same bike but EJK should have a compatibility list on their website.
@@Casey_Schmidt Cheers man, I looked it up and they've got the bore kit for crfs made from 2017-2022

just switch your rear sprocket from 40T to 44T no need for efi
