- So toothpaste does work as a substitute for Thermal Paste. but not for long. Toothpaste dries out in as little as a couple days and prolonged use will burn out the peltier module. I only recommend this for emergency purposes. To make the toothpaste last a little longer, I recommend adding vegetable oil to prevent drying. In conclusion it's best to get new thermal paste off the bat as it's more conductive and reliable. Highly recommend using Thermalright TF4 paste, as now my drinks turn to slushies ❄️.
You did research, but not enough. Yes, toothpaste is an amazing thermal conductor. But that property decays in as little as 3 days. So pretty sure you’ll just be burning your peltier module by then.
It did😭 but idk if I should take the video down because it's my most viewed video by a l o n g shot. In my newest video I did put legitimate thermal paste and replaced the module.

If anyone has one of these refrigerators it stopped working and the green light starts blinking change the 10uf 50 volt capacitor on the board the smallest one on the board it will fix it

I'm curious was the mini fridge not working at all or working sometimes so you checked to see if the fridge just needed more themopaste as it had dried out?
Well some people don't follow the manual it say for it to only be on 6-8 hours and some people don't read the manual and keep it on like a regular fridge but if it's not that and they received it defective a customer should be refunded and product should be sent back to be fixed if it can but sometimes a defective product was sent by a company and they knew it was a defective product when they sent it out and those kinds of companies don't apologize or refund you they can't even be reached

Ok I'm not big on this stuff but i can follow direction. First got the replacement fan and it has 2 plugs, big with red/black wires and small with black/red/yellow wires but fan in fridge only has black/red and no plugs which figures nothing is easy. This fan is bigger (thicker) than original which is ping shun electronic co YD8020MS DC 12V 1.6W.

I have a mini fridge and what I learn from reading the manual is you only supposed to run it up to 6-8 hours depending on the size and model you have and when you don't follow those directions it does go out and want cool so follow the manual to keep from blowing out your mini fridge I personally barely have mine on maybe a hour at the least I didn't really buy it to cool but as a storage for all my snacks if I put water or juice in there ill turn it on by an hour if I haven't drunk it I take it out and decide if I want to drink it or put it in the regular fridge but most of the time it's gone by an hour
Mine had been in use full time 24/7 for the past 3 months, having it on full time is not a problem , but you must remember to blow the dust out of cooling unit, once a month is good for me, but if in a garage or workshop once a week is best, any dry compressed air will work only takes two minutes, I use canned air duster from the computer store, layers of dust reduce the air flow, and insulate the heat sinks causing the peltier unit over heat and burn out
So before you fixed it can you tell me what was wrong with it? Did it just stop getting cold or did the fan stop working and the green light started blinking? Thanks!
It just stopped getting cold out of nowhere. I found out my peltier module was still functional, I then had to Google "thermal paste substitutes"💀 please keep in mind that this is a temporary fix and it's best to just get new thermal paste
The fan was still sort of functional but it would bog down after a few minutes of running. A few drops of oil solved that issue
I have 1 that the fan stopped spinning and the green light started blinking, I opened the back and I see that I need to clean out the dust and dog hair from the blades. Is the reason the light started flashing cause of the fan stopping? And once you fixed the problem did the light stop blinking?

please let me know if my solution works for you!! I opened up my fridge earlier and the ice was all melted, after watching several videos I just got mad at the thing and banged on the temperature knob very hard. It started right back up. Sometimes it needs banged against for the knob to know where it’s set at.
