Someone PLEASE? tell me where I can get a replacement heatsink bracket. Mine has cracked on both of the screw surrounds on top and is causing the facia to pop out and I can hear my fan like a tiny jet engine.
Can anyone tell me what connector is used to link the mainboard to the displays? I'd like to use my Q3 for custom VR linked to my PC, but I'm not happy with the latency I would get using the meta quest link cable. Thanks a lot!!
How did yours go and where did you find the part ?? I need to do the same to mine but I only see ONE place on Alibaba that is ambiguous about what I’m buying 😂
Not a complete tear down. Still needed to tear down the speakers with the audio jack and changing port cables. Boo. Did everything but the specific thing I was looking for lmao
Noooo hey, how can you build the heat exchanger INTO a closed housing? Where is the heat supposed to go? If you had simply left two openings where the heat can go in and out, it would keep things 30% cooler! And not to mention the excessive amount of thermal paste. Well, I know what will be changed on mine...
Hi there. I would like you to make a video removing all the hardware and only leave the lenses working to see if the hardware can be removed so that the glasses weigh less, thank you very much
Well that was a waste of $500 for some RUclips views. I doubt you can get it back together in working order. I wonder if they'll honor the warranty...lol.
its actually extemely helpful for repairing and working on devices like these and maybe you wouldnt be able to put this back together but someone with knowledge and more then 3 braincells can
many things can be considered a waste of money/time for youtube views, however I wouldn't consider helping the right to repair movement being one of them.
well i'd be willing to send the channel $10 towards that amount. it was really worth seeing what it looks like inside to me, though i would prefer more high res microscope video of the parts so that model numbers can be seen. this video is a great resource to the repair community. im looking at installing more fans and a bigger heatsink on my quest 3 so it can be overclocked.
Now put it back together video
Man to invest a meta quest 3 into a video and release it with no audio lol. I would add music from YT at least. Its just awkward silence.
no thanks. you can play your own music by yourself. tech teardowns should be silent or just the tech talking.
Interesting. Thanks for sharing.

Now , the only way to put it back together is watching the video in backward
why is there no audio?
Idk
That’s what I was gonna say,

Can you tell us what camera modules are used for the rgb pass through?
Tell me, if you disconnect the battery, will it just work from Type-C?
I'm also interested in this, maybe it will work like Quest 2 only if the battery is connected
What is the RAM maker, product number, LPDDR5, data rate?
how to disassemble the speakers?
You are tearing my heart
im about to tear this thing down and replace the charging port. god help me.....

how was it

how did you disassemble the speakers?
You need to completely disassemble and there’s screws holding them in
@@XTac0Munch3rX Do you have any photos of the insides of the headphones?
🤓👆
Wish we could take apart the arms too. Need to replace a blown speaker.
Hey, appreciate the video. What region was this Quest 3? US/UK/EU/AU?

No dust protoctor on lens module

$$$
Why?
How to spell confidence
better wear a mask instead of blurring the video
That is what I learned from this video… I will do that for next time
@@manboTube why didnt you turn of the device before teardown?
Won’t showing the serial number in the video reveal who purchased the unit, so why blur the video? I like the video however!
probably reflection of the face

is it not waste if you learn something
This is an incredibly useful video.
