There should def be more hill climbing in America, tho tighter insurance regs and the threat of litigation from serious accidents is always looming. It can certainly be done, pikes peak the most famous. However if u think nascar is just "turning left", ur ignorance of auto racing is shining brightly. If u are a true motorsports fan u should just be happy someone is interested in racing, any racing rather than just hating bc u have absolutely zero understanding of the sport. Believe it or not someone can like nascar as well as indycar and sports car racing. They can even like hill climbing and watch F1 from time to time. We need to be glad someone is interested in our sport as a whole, bc it's shrinking and dying. Motorsports numbers are down across the board. A fact every motorsports fan should be concerned about regardless of the genre of racing they prefer.
You look at places like Sedona, Arizona, a place that has steep hills, tight curves, long straightaways, and vast woods, it's like the perfect hillclimb venue!

That kadett is a bodyshell on a BMW inline 6 platform and the Abarth is a 600 model.
Dont car, kadett coupe has just such a nice look. Wonder why it isnt realy seen as a nice classic car

It is a Alexander Hin´s E2-Sh class Opel Kadett. It is a spaceframed machine using at the time a BMW Inline 6 3.0 engine with 380Hp. Rumours are that it is being swapped for something far more ambitious..
For 2018 they want to use a 2.5l ITC engine from a ´96 Opel Calibra :)

It is not only one engine, it is powered by two GSXR-1000 engines, one in the front and another in the back ;)

The orange unit you saw on the video is a Opel Omega Evo 500 DTM. Uses a straight six naturally aspirated engine.

The holy grail of racing are na engines, turbo engines are essentially just good for drag racing and fuel savin but a track will always be ruled by naturally aspirated cars.
