@discodraugr5233 I'm rocking the Rockville BluTube amp. I am a fan of how tube amps sound. I love to adjust the treble and bass when I need to and I soley use it for headphones and not speakers.
For anyone with questions, comments, or feedback about any of our products, drop 'em here and we'll reply. Unless you're just being mean for no reason.. but who would do that on the internet? 🤣
have always been a fan of the modmic! but access to it here in South East Asia is limited primarily due to the cost. lol. hope the new wireless one that comes out has as good audio quality as the Corsair HS80. (:
@@enki42ea I'm not 100% certain what you're asking so I'll try to cover all the bases. If the question is if the physical spot its located in this video is correct, yeah more or less it is. Some people prefer it closer than what you see here, which will increase the overall mic volume (so less gain is needed, ergo less line noise), but increase the bass on the mic (google audio proximity effect for more info). If the question is if cardioid mode is the best setting for overall sound quality; generally the answer is no. Sound is entirely subjective, but most people feel omni-directional mode is the best quality for our mics (and frankly, in general). Omni mode has the advantage of sounding more natural as it picks up sound from all directions just like ears do (oversimplified). By rejecting noise from the opposite direction of the mic, you get a more compressed sound. These are general rules that vary with every mic capsule, housing design, interface, etc. Additionally most uni mics have less range than omni ones, generally cutting out very low frequencies. If the question was something else entirely; sorry for writing this useless novel! :D
An updated version is in the works (with USB-C for sure). More info in 2023 and we hope 9to5 will be taking a look again at the many upgrades we have in store! Your feedback is appreciated and we're already on top of it!
I for sure think the modmic sounds great. Currently figuring out if the modmic sticks on the philips fidelio x3 headphones. I saw them at the end of the video but im not sure where the mic is attached. Im quite scared it might brake the fabric on the ear cushions after removing.
Hmm whats the difference between their accessories, such as the audio y adaptor and the usb sound card? I noticed they have a bundle deal for uni with the usb sound card right now...
Currenlty rocking my Beyerdynamic DT 1990 with my Modmic via USB for gaming and have ZERO complaints
Can I ask what Amp /dac your using?

@@jhkanggggg nice! I'm ditching my gaming headset and getting some real headphones so I'm looking for Amp /dac recommendations. Thanks for replying
@discodraugr5233 no problem! Your ears are going to be in for a treat!!

Is the position of the mic really the best position for cardioid mode for best sound quality?

Suggestions for a non-bluetooth, USB addition for my well loved ATH M50x's? Thanks in advance!
@Guwop haven't heard from Antlion support. Still looking around at other options, but haven't pulled the trigger.
what a fantastic review and comparison, this is exactly what I was looking for
Enjoyed the video. I just wish that the wireless version came with USB c instead of micro USB. The latter is too fragile, and breaks too easily.
yea the modmic wireless is OLD. its 4 years old and they havent updated it since..
True, definitely is a dated design

@@AntlionAudio Awesome! Excited to take a look when it comes out.
@@AntlionAudio thank goodness! we have been waiting for that USB C version forever! 🙂

It does fit on the X3! I have the sticky mount on the metal ring, not on the fabric. It's quite close the where the left cable plugs into the earcup.
Alright awesome ty for the quick response. Are there any sorts of problems with the sticky pad on the metal?
I haven't had any issues, it all seems pretty solid so far!
Sounds good! Thanks again for the help and the in-depth review, definitely deserving of my subscription, take care :)
Do modmics work on ps5?
I’m using the Modmic wireless and I can’t easily turn them off. I either don’t hold the button long enough or I hold them too long. Any tips?
Do these have side tone (so I can hear my voice)?

My mic was really quiet, sound card fixed that for me
The mic seems way too far away which would decrease the sound quality
its very sensitive you are suppose to keep it away like that
Here is some support 😎
Modmic Uni with cheap lousy mute mic slider for 45 USD. Thanks, no
