I feel that this game was actually pretty solid for what it is. Clearly this was some kind of experimental project where they saw people aching for some TTADK themed stuff and they wanted to try their hand at making a whole game based around the concept, and I feel like they did pretty well for someone experiencing the game for the first time. That being said, it is unfortunate that the game never really got much support afterwards and the effort they put into the post game was minimal. I am hoping that they have listened to the community and plan on reworking some cons and adding quality of life changes in the sequel, making it a game that actually holds up to what people are expecting just like the transition from BL1 to BL2.

I'm going to assume that being developed in the pandemic hurt it, but I'm also sure a lot of the team was focused on BL4, so WL got less love. I enjoyed the game, but post launch was awful. Hopefully WL2 and BL4 give life back into the franchise

You seem to be entirely unaware that there are a group of borderlands fans old enough to play games as a single player story and then put the game down. Although I didn’t mind chaos chambers (before they added 100 of them), the game needed more raid bosses and story-driven content, which the dlcs didn’t deliver. I can understand that having a Fatemaker who doesn't "make Fate" is weird, but by the same logic our characters weren't really Vault Hunters in the older games either. We always just followed the ones who got there first. Steele opened the vault in BL1, Jack did in BL2, Zarpedon did in TPS, and Vallory did it in TFTBL, tho this can be debated since the vault needed to be reopened. So the first time we play as a so called Vault Hunter - who both opened a vault and fought the monster inside it - was either Rhys and Fiona, or - ironically - in BL3 with the Promethea vault.
But come on, it's a tabletop game withing a game franchise. Why would their title be Vault Hunter in a fantasy setting of a role playing game ? :D
Also, Tina IS expanded upon, but Wonderlands chronologically takes place either before the Commander Lilith DLC where the B Team is formed, or between that and BL3 where she is grown. This is TINY Tina, with her grief still lingering, trying to cope. I thought this was pretty obvious.

So many millions of dollars wasted on Wonderlands + the movie..they could have just put out those extra Borderlands TPS DLC’s and actually profited. Borderlands 4 HAS to be BL2 level great at this point or Borderlands will be the next Halo where people will only play the old ones and reminisce on them in the future.

Tina is great in small doses, but her brand of comedy gets annoying when it's constant.
Plus, it's so fucking boring. Half of my playtime was spent running back and forth because of the lack convenient Fast Travels; or waiting for Tina and Co to advance the game via a D&D command "bEcAUsE itS a RoLEplaYinG gAmE, gET IT??" Having that joke being repeated at least 15 times before you even reached the main kingdom was obnoxious. Not to mention the repetitive and mandatory random encounters that just drag you away from the game to artificially inflate in-game time.
I've never been a fantasy genre fan myself, but this game permanently killed my hope for ever getting involved with the genre ever.
The guns just either being crossbows "because fantasy" or just the regular guns was weird. Like... Pick one and go with it.
If it wasn't for Wanda Sykes jumping in every now and again, I'd be giving this 1/10 at the most.

I personally LOVED tiny tinas dragon keep DLC which was a DND spin on the game.. and thats what i expexted going into this game.. bc that DLC was loads of fun! But what i ended up getting was a literal board game with loads of repeat instance fights.. yes the story beats had unique settinf but the "oveeworld" while charming lost me with the bland same-y set drop for multiple fights per area. It made 'exploring' the gameboard intolerable.

The problem of the game was the crap end game and the "DLCs" they released after with an expensive price for what they brought. THATS the problem of the game. Nothing more.

Since Borderlands 3, I just find anything Gearbox does kinda forced, obsolete and old. It feels like they don't evolve with their times and are constantly behind. It saddens me because when I was younger, I remember being hyped and enjoying the crap out of the first Borderlands. It was new, cool, hip, and the 2nd game was just that but even better.
Then it just went downhill from there... Older Borderlands title were better but aged poorly, and newer Borderlands titles just feel even older somehow.

Borderlands 2 was pretty much perfect I don’t know why they had to reinvent the damn wheel there man 🤦‍♂️ overall gameplay I felt was really fun and you do have quite a bit of stuff to do and different builds together but endgame and replay value ironically is really where it turns into a rotten egg for me. Tried to like this game as something new besides Borderlands, but its only good once and its replay value does not exist. While having some fun elements and do enjoy melee weapons, its far from enough to save it for a sequel. With as much as I want Borderlands 4, I fear it can be much worse than BL3 with elements of both Wonderlands and New Tales to hinder everything. To make it even worse, is if we ever see SweetBaby Inc. have their hands in the game, then you can expect it to die about as fast as Suicide Squad.

The fact that Wonderlands's End game content is so damn dull, like there is no replay factor here after the first playthrough, the story itself is just generic and very much yawn inducing from what I have seen of the game. The lack of actual decent raid bosses or lack of any quality raid boss in this game and let's not forget this game was abandoned after a mere [checks notes] wait what 3 months after launch?
Sweet jesus Gearbox, even Pre-Sequel didn't get abandoned 3 months after launch dear god that stuck around for at least 8-9 months of a life cycle and was solely redeemed by the Claptastic Voyage DLC which added some replay factor into it, this is a god damn slap in the face to fans of the franchise, fans of looter shooters in general and by far even worse then current Destiny 2, yeah I went there Destiny 2 has more content then this game for crying out loud. Even if you get gifted this game on steam, REFUND IT, it's just gonna sit in your library forever, at least get the damn money back for it.
Edit: There's only one good moment in this game and it's at the end of the video, yeah that's right that joke we got in BL2 Tina DLC is the only GOOD thing in this game

Personally I think the biggest problem was making it for teens. That and adding modern comments, like vending machine congratulating you for surviving capitalism. It was built up like it was a full game in the style of dragons keep. Then get lectured by a teenage Tina about name calling when as an adult she does it in B3. But demonic possession, that’s fine. I preordered chaotic edition, but after this (and plc bullshine), as well as making tales 2 cannon. B4 though I will give the movie a chance unless it’s rated teen then I’ll pass.

i gave the game like 3 whole playthroughs, i think coming back and running through the story every so often is pretty much the best this game has going for it, which is admittedly how i like playing Borderlands mostly anyways. not having extra story content DLCs to either get even wackier with the setting or flesh out some of the interesting characters the game introduces was a huge mistake and of course the chaos chambers are kinda shit. although i will give the caveat that i'd actually like to see chaos chambers or something similar return to borderlands or maybe an eventual wonderlands sequel, but it absolutely CAN NOT be the only offering for endgame activities and loot needs to be target farmable more efficiently. i just think the randomized rogue-lite style dungeon runs is a good addition to the franchise it's just the execution was... messy.

I could imagine some of her skill tree including things like "All Tina's grenades have MIRV (5, 8, 10, 12, 16, depending on how many points are spent) ability. If your Grenade mod already has MIRV ability, each of the child grenades also has the MIRV ability granted by the grenade mod." and "All your grenades have the Homing ability, If your grenade mod also has homing ability, homing speed is doubled" and "Tina can use grenades during Fight for your Life" and "If Tina is out of grenades, using the grenade ability consumes one non-equipped grenade mod to fill her grenade capacity"
The "All your grenades have...(whatever)" skills would be in different trees at tier 3. These kind of skills would give us the Tiny Tina we all want to see.

I feel like Gearbox actually doesn't understand how to evolve Borderlands.
The games looter shooter model literally DEMANDS that they make cutscenes and story skippable, and honestly it would be so much more interesting if they dropped the outdated as fffk "Quest" structure, and opted for more randomized in world events, bosses, enemies and spawns etc.
Basically the franchise should go more towards almost a rogue like design, maintaining a story and progression as normal, but leaning into the rogue like randomized elements that can occur throughout a playthrough, while minimizing "quest chores" of "go here, press X to" etc.
They kind of got stuck in this idea that people love the comedy so much that they should ram it down the audience throats with bloated exposition, dialogue, story etc.
This is not the case. And Borderlands 2, despite SO MANY FLAWS is still WAY MORE replayable than BL3!!!!
    Bl3 I dropped after ONE playthrough 😐
Because the game just doesn't even understand what it should be. They tried to just make a bigger, longer and more refined BL2. But what they SHOULD have made, it go CRAZIER with the possible builds (all of which they nerfed and deleted as soon as anyone discovered anything cool or fun).
And then scale the challenges TO the fun loot combinations, which they would push players with a great incentive to get the gear to have even more fun and take on challenges.
Instead they nerfed gear and made really boring raids.
BL2s format of entering the raid boss arena is a WAY better format than having to do a whole "takedown" which basically isn't that interesting or fun to even do.
As the design of the game DOESN'T offer much variation despite being designed to "replay" these segments over and over 🤦🏻‍♂
Proof that Gearbox doesn't understand what's even great about the series ultimately.

Butt Stallion should have stayed dead. Maybe then they could move the fuck on. I HATE how heavily the franchise relies on BL2.
Handsome Jack: overrated and not funny.
Butt Stallion: immature and not funny.
Tiny Tina: Loud, annoying, stupid, and not funny.
Like.... They need to do something different, those three things don't make a Borderlands game.
Oh and we all know Lorelai is gonna become their next long running annoying fucking character. Despite the fact that she wasn't funny, nor was Paladin Mike.

naa bro. Your judgement is clouded through your immense hatered of Chaos Chambers. Just move on if you needa grind tbh. Same goes to FarCry 6. Horrible End game but a good game overall that was just rushed. You just dont have to overplay it because it gets boring quick after you finished the main game.
I mean all honestly. it is a good game that is just a mix of Borderlands and a kid playing a Pen and Paper game. 4 me at least, the gameplay felt great. Maybe because I played Mage with two playable spells. The only anoiing thing is the spells dont say what they actually do, you just have to guess it from the name or test it out.
I mean its rare to see a DLC that actually gives a lot of interessting content and is not another way for the devs to make quick easy money.
The only two things where I say bro devs wtf is wrong with you is being able to choose a second class but it litteraly close to does NOTHING... NOTHING. Like deam give me a spell and two Class abilities and not 1 and 1. Makes no sense
And the story starts so good and then it just gets boring. They didn´t do shit with their start of the story. And yeah Butt Stalion is holding Tina back so bad. And they should do more with the Dragon Lord having control of what happens. He does nothing more then once or twice spawning some mosnters. Bro has control of the god deam story and can speak with you directly. Deam his dude has potential.
And the meele weapons are boring af. Dunno what you see in them tbh. Spells are way more interessting and cool to use. Maybe because I can choose 2 spells and have no Class action but deam some spells are creative like the icespikes and the singularity
Anyways, chill bro, dont overplay it. and my comment is weird af but whatever its 2 am

Well I love all Borderlands games I know and even Tina Tina's Wonderlands.
To be fair Borderlands 1 and 2 where the jokes great and Handsome Jack.
Borderlands 3 I didn't liked the jokes too often all this "sh*t jokes" (I mean it word by word) where bad but I loved the gameplay and I really love Tyreen and would like to play her (she's not so good like Jack but I still really love her)
And Tiny Tina well I played the game since release and my first play through was not so good. Yeah in my opinion the jokes where better then in Borderlands 3 and I really loved the melee weapons and the Gameplay that feels like Borderlands 3 for me with the fantasy aspect (if all the guns wouldn't be in Tiny Tina) sadly Torgue was censored.
BUT I just started yesterday a second play trough of Tiny Tina and now I really enjoy the game also finally Character Customisation (sadly no Anthro race but okay)

I can tell this video is gonna be filled with bad takes because right out of the gate im met with a narrator who disregards that the game is based off DND with borderland characters, there is no need for Vault Hunters and the character creation fits more of a DND character sheet. Gonna save 10 mins and pass this, if any borderland fan out there seees this and hasn't tried TTW, it's fun doesn't contribute to borderlands story and is very similar to borderlands gameplay.

That's a weird question to ask seeing how you can ask that about any game sequel. I mean, why play Borderlands 2 when you already have Borderlands?
Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep is one of the highest rated and best selling DLC in the entire Borderlands history. Along with rising interest in TTRPGs like DnD at the time (as well as Tiny Tina being an absolute fan favorite character), the actual question is why WOULDN'T people do it again?
Like with any sequel, we knew we'd be getting new story, character, and gameplay alongside story, character, and gameplay we're familiar with (alongside probably a few things that we'd have problems with. I mean...that's just how reality works; you take the good with the bad). There was great potential with something that worked really well in the past and the timing of game's release was in the game's favor due to other things happening irl.
I do understand that, AFTER the game was launched, we saw that the shortcomings outweighed the good (honestly, there's a lot of criticism about the game that's valid). Even with that said, we still got some great things from Wonderlands that make the game worth playing at least once (including one of the best villains in the whole Borderlands franchise; one I'd say is a close-second to Handsome Jack himself).

Dude missed a lot here. Just calling it 'bad' is an absolute travesty.
Honestly, Wonderlands is an incredible game with the worst dlc possible out of a Borderlands game.
This game is literally DnD meets Borderlands, taking off of the popularity of Assault on Dragon's Keep. Judging off of those aspects alone, the base game is incredible. They did a great job of mashing the styles together.
Re-iterating though, the DLC is a complete scam compared to the rest of the BL series. They're Far too short to actually be worth the money, outside of the replayability of farming the incredibly basic dungeons for more loot.
Having farmed these DLCs multiple times.. the gameplay is good but are not nearly worth the price point.
Still highly recommend the game, but it's to be taken with an open perspective. It IS a good game. It's just not a Borderlands game alone, its a DnD spin-off with some minor flaws (not nearly as big as the story of BL3).

I personally stopped playing because of the DLC's honestly. While it was fun with me and my friend and both of us were pretty big Borderlands and D&D nerds it fitted our niche very well. But after we gone and beat the game, and spent hours on the grind getting legendaries for our collection, there wasn't really much left to do. And when the DLC's came out it was just disappointment after disappointment; a whole season pass just for four four singular path dungeons accessed only in this one area early in game. No real new story other than "go into this dungeon and kill this boss because they're being a dick", a new class or two yeah that's something at least.
Then came the loads of nerfs for most of the gear, which to the belief of my friend; nerfing something in a non PvP game just ruins the fun. Like I get it in a developer sense where you don't all of your players only playing as "The Meta" but when you spend hours if not days ruthlessly grinding for that perfect roll of that one piece of gear that would just complete your whole set and turn this game into Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, only for a day or two later the devs release an update where in one of the patches they weaken that one item to the point where it's nearly worthless and is just tossed into the safe to never be touched. That's what ruined the game for him, and after countless updates of nerfs he was just done and after a while of just playing solo it got boring for me to so I just quit as well.
I won't deny that me and my friend had loads of fun on the first go, and we had our fun moments here and there, but after we 100%'d/platinum'd the game, things got stale for us and eventually we parted from it.

Got this game on sale which I thought was good just to find the game riddled with bugs and crashes. All the sdus I spent hours getting money for to pay for were just gone one day and my bank went from 510 spaces to 220 spaces zzz I hope BL4 isn’t like this, might have to wait a month after release to see how bad the game is before I buy it.

I haven’t played the boarder lands games. I actually like the game and having fun. The combination of spell options is a bit excessive. Trying to separate good spells from ones are complete garbage. Same with guns. Some guns actual damage from what it says on stats. The performance is some guns are super sweet. While others are vender junk. Also, why can’t I vendor off the accessible patterns that I already learned to one of the 3 vendor machine?
That being said, game has a learning curve and seems to have a good story

Such a waste of potential. I could write a small novel about all the way this game failed, but more importantly, especially after Tales 2, it really makes me worried for BL4.
The good news is that we always have 1, 2, and 3, but it'd be a real shame if BL4 is as bad as Wonderlands.

Considering this game was made from home made me actually look past a few problems. But mechanically this game was great!
Melee weapons are changeable. Weapon enchantments are easy, the grind is much easier than other games.
And I really don't understand the beef with the Chamber??
It puts all core elements of borderlands (which is shooting and combat) in one gameplay run, if anything it beats the boring running back and forward just to fight bosses and get loot, when you can just go into the chamber, get shit loads of loot and have non stop combat the whole way through!!
Apart from the obvious DEI adaptions which completely ruined the feel of immersion, mechanically this game did so much right.
Personally the only improvements I'd make:
    -longer story
-choice of grenades OR spells (depends on builds)
    -loads more class types
-make class points more viable (higher stat changes and more options)
    -less gay stuff 😂
I know Tina is officially lesbian for moxxi or whatever, but there's so much lovey parts, sex jokes and references to gay couples. It should be about crazy people, mad titans, killing and blowing shit up.
Borderlands 1 didn't have any of this...
Also, 1 playthrough... perfecto! I hated nothing more than beating the game, finding secrets, doing side quests. Then having to do it ALL again for no reason... replayablity I think not, if I'm going to replay the game, its as a new character, not the one I just finished the game with.
hated the overworld though 😅 would've preferred a gridbased mini map with events rather than a bobble head walking around that can't do anything other than walk and punch hahaha
    All in all good game
