Ben missed the cascade triggers of the slivers he cascaded into, all slivers cascade also those that come into play through cascade, cause you cast them only exception are the first one you cascade into from first sliver, cause he is still on the stack
Yup, I initially missed that too. I've played a lot with Abaddon so I'm used to spells having cascade ONLY if cast from my hand. But first sliver is wayyyyy better.
Really nice game! I think Blake's threat assessment was pretty much on point, knocking out the blue player who has been hand filtering for half the game and with 0 info on cards in hand. Then going for the player who can make very explosive boards and do a lot of indirect damage. I think he just got a bit unlucky that Ben had a tutor of all cards in his hand. Overall, really fun, entertaining back and forth game!
Don't forget while The First Sliver is on the battlefield, and each Sliver having Cascade, when you cast a sliver you can Cascade until you can't as long as you hit and cast slivers
And that is why you ever leave a sliver player with a sliver queen alone hahaha. Ria Ivor looked really cool to play, and Urtet seemed as strong as I thought !

Ben missed a multitude of Cascade triggers cause Slivers that are cascaded from First Sliver cascade as well. So you start with a five then cascade into a 4 then 3 then 2 then 1 or skip to whichever number comes up.
I think if you're a 'sweaty try-hard' Sliver player you go with Sliver Overlord, which has huge upside in being able to find any other Sliver, and combo piece Ameboid Changeling, making it probably the strongest Slivers option. That said, in my 'Sliver' deck, I use Sliver Legion very happily in the 99 and don't bother with another 5 colour Sliver, but Legion and Horn Sliver are a terrifying thing to World Tree out. I didn't plan on having a Scarecrow deck with more Slivers than Scarecrows (it now has just Scarecrone, which is on it's way out I suspect), but The Reaper King is an odd fellow, and his Tribe feels dangerously close to running Homarids in Commander if you can't cast the King himself, Changelings are almost all overcosted dreck and are still better than Scarecrows. There is actually 4 Slivers IIRC, along with a bunch of Changelings that also count, so drawing Legion usually feels pretty good.
That illusion token CGB made was technically a 2/1 and not a 1/1 because Phantasmal Image is also an illusion which means when the token died he could've put a 2 CMC card on the battlefield. Don't think it would've made a big difference though. Minn is also a cool commander. CGB should try it and draw lots of cards ;)
The All is Dust at 46:21 should have destroyed Blake's Myr tokens, as when he attacked CGB on the previous turn, he announced that Brudiclad's ability had turned all of his tokens into 2/1 BLUE Phyrexian Myr tokens. That effect doesn't end at EOT, so they were still blue when All is Dust went off.
I'm not to sure and I'm asking for game knowledge rather than pointing misrulling but doesn't ben get to blow up 2 artifacts on his first cascade trigger of the game ? Harmonic sliver triggers himself and first sliver enters the battlefield after right ?
I'm so disappointed in cgb he came with a mild deck and got destroyed barely made anything to Shea or Ben then some small road block. Got whipped by 1 smack from Blake after acting like a fly to him. As I waited for this new vid and just felt overwhelmed with that play I expected like so much despair from the group but got this baby maker deck that is an insult to blue players. But way to go Ben for making yourself look like a threat and not getting taking seriously. Everyone thought cgb was your minion apparently.

I think Shea could have upped the cheekiness of her play at around 38:30 if she had offered +1/+1 counters to Ben’s empty board. 🤣

its a “you may” ability, he did destroy the 2/1 blue myr but since he didnt actually make all his tokens into copies of the colored myr, he was fine
