    I'll admit that im a freaking noob and don't know anything about build. I'm 906 iLvl and did around 350k dps, so yeah, that was embarrasing. After this video i'm finally up and doing around 1.2M dps. So thank you very much for making me understand my class better!

    U can fel rush single targets if their hitbox is big enough, weaving it in between your single target rotation, provided you have no fury and no felblade proc

    First of all - Netherwalk greatly outperformes Soul rending as 30% leech in metamorphosis is more than enough
    Second - you single target rotation should be Metamorphosis > Felblade > Nemesis + Chaos Blades >Death sweep > Annihilation > Arcane Torrent > Annihilation (you use Artifact only if you wont need it for adds in the next 60s)
    3rd - Demonic burst starts with Demons Bite (till 30+ fury) > Eye beam > Nemesis (using it before only wastes time cause u have to set meta up) > Fury > Annihilate (spam till at close to 30 fury) > Metamorphosis > Eye Beam > Annihilate
    4th - On fights that last less than 6:30 minutes Cinidaria outperformes Delusions and is effectively second best legendary - since Delusions have to be comboed with Convergence of Fates to get the cooldown down to 2 minutes - using Delusions without Convergence is a terrible idea because it will de-sync your metamorphosis CD and 2min CDs and in the long run will reduce your dps.

    • @blues2717

      Netherwalk outperforms soul rending? ghahahahahah

    • @GearsofBeef
      @GearsofBeef 7 лет назад +2

      Vickaaan at high level i would say nether does out preform on many fights, especially krosus mythic, during the last bridge segment there will be an orb dropped directly behind your group causing the team to stack on the top left of the bridge and all defensives used, using nether completely negates that damage and keeps you alive. obviously it comes with a dps drop but assigning a macro to quickly engage and debuff yourself can be handy for dealing with burst. soul is basically faceroll mode where you simply sit there hammering all day, quite effective using shoulders and CoF but you will do around 95percent overhealing. overall its very much down to preference.

    • @angrypancake4358
      @angrypancake4358 7 лет назад +1

      Vickaan - Yes it does, in raid or party content the healing from soul rending is literaly pointless. On certain fights Souls rending can either save your ass from instant kill or it will allow you to completely ignore some of the fight mechanics (Wrath of Azshara´s detonation, Star Augur´s Fel Nova, Elisande´s rings, Gul´Dan´s Empowered chains and others)

  • @lupuslycos88
    @lupuslycos88 7 лет назад

    Felrush should always be used in a single target rotation even when not using momentum.
    Not using it is a definate DPS loss.
    The reason you use it in a single target rotation is that the GCD on felrush is minimal, so you can use it just before a chaos strike or blade dance.
    to truly pump the most out of your single target you want to be doing this at all times.

    Good guide, i was having low DPS issues after coming back and getting into raiding from a 2 year break. I wanted to try and make my own build and rotations... always kind of pissed me off how we're stuck behind all this f'ing meta build crap in order to be viable in group settings but i guess that's just the way the loot game go.
    Consequently my rotations were about 10x more entertaining when i was doing shite damage lol. I sure was staying busier... i was pretty much overplaying the fuck out of this class like i was on my old TBC Warlock or some shit.

    so I do have a question, why would u use Felblade over Fel Mastery? Fel Rush is a more reliable source of fury and also gives you the advantage of being able to run with the Bloodlet/Bionic/Anger/Momentum over the Nemesis/Convergence/Shoulders, which is a far more reliable and versatile build

    Really nice guide dude, awesome job. I'm just kinda confused with something, I've seen a LOT of people prioritizing mastery over crit, keeping crit at 35% and 42%+ mastery... I think it is for tier set giving more crit to Chaos strike but I'm still kinda confused..

    • @SelwenG
      @SelwenG  7 лет назад

      Thanks! - Getting crit will never harm you, its still your primary stat but the main reason why you want crit is for the Chaos Strike refunds, so if you have the tier set bonus you can basically count that you have 10% more on your stats, meaning if you have 35% or 37% crit with the tier set you can count as having 45/47%.
      Which isn't a soft cap or anything but will give you a pretty consistent crit with Chaos Strike for its refunds, allowing for you to focus Mastery for the flat damage increase(Chaos Damage).
      That said, if you want to get the best answer for you the best way is to sim your stats and see your results. Is all going to depend on your character.
      I might dare say with the tier set, having between 35% to 40% crit is enough but don't take it as rule of life.
      Plus with ToS, that set bonus might be lost so is something to take in mind for the future as well.

    The problem is i got the Lego braces, so i'm very confused on what to do now first blood or bloodlet, as i have the lego braces and also i have the chest piece which apparently shit. But as for build i would probaby go Demonic but with nemesis, the single target dps with it is bad. i do not know how to run my mind with the demon blade build it's very hard for me to memorize that since i was using demonic build the whole time..
    But can i know what tier pieces shud i get and shud i take momentum over nemesis and should i change blood let to first blood(I have lego braces)
    Thanks for the guide bro.

    Hello, video is awesome but I am confused a lil bit. Many DHs are prioritizing "Convergence of Fates"- Elisande drop, but according to video, which tells that You SHOULD prioritize crit strike, Do You have to use critical strike trinket instead of that one, for example "Eye of Command" or "Eye of Guarm" or "Hunger of the Pack (Using atm)" ??
    Thank you :)

    • @SelwenG
      @SelwenG  7 лет назад

      Hey and thanks! - I apologize for not making trinket choices that clear but yes priority is on crit but there are exceptions, 'Convergence of Fates' is one of them BUT only if you also have the legendary shoulders that also reduce your Metamorphosis CD. The reason for it is that if you only have one them it might screw up the cooldown's combos you can do with your other DPS cooldowns(Nemesis/Chaos Blades).
      Because the order of cooldowns that you get naturally is - Meta>Nemesis>Chaos Blades - then after 2 minutes - Nemesis>Chaos Blades - after 2 other minutes - Meta>Nemesis>Chaos Blades - correct?
      Now, if you only have Convergence of Fates or Delusions of Grandeur(Lego Shoulders) your total cooldown on the Meta is going to be reduced to about.... let's say, between 2 to 3 minutes, meaning, on phase two of using
      - Nemesis>Chaos Blades - a couple of seconds after you might get Meta, which isn't actually good because now you left with the choice of using it now and not being able to do the second Meta/CD combo when they are available - Meta>Nemesis>Chaos Blades -, in turn losing DPS...
      As then your cooldowns are no longer in sync and everything gets jumbled up.
      Or left with the other choice of not using at all to be able to combo with the other cooldowns, which is what you want to do, making you not take advantage out of the reduction of the Meta CD at all, making so just having one of those items potentially worthless....
      BUT if you have both the trinket and lego shoulders, the cooldown is going to be reduced to around 2 minutes for sure, allowing you to use Meta with your other CD's always in combo every 2 minutes, or very close.
      SO, should you prioritize a crit trinket over 'Convergence of Fates' with that in mind, such as your suggestions? Yes, although I always like to recommend just test your DPS out if you do possess such items, look up your logs and see all of that info to make up a final conclusion.
      That said, that mostly applies to raiding, due to its nature of prolonged fights, in dungeons or shorter encounters, it might make it worthwhile.
      I would like to give rock-solid numbers but that's just my alt and I don't possess such items, my conclusion is just from logic and looking up other DH's, hope everything is cleared up. :)

      Hey. Awesome speech. I've readed everything. Thank You SO much for Your suggestions. Really happy for fast response. It's really awesome to be subscribed to Your channel. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL. Thank you once more, But just one more question:
      Which of these 3 trinkets do you prever ( After "Convergence of Fates" + Shoulders)?
      1. Eye of Command (865)
      2. Eye of Guarm + Socket (875)
      3. Hunger of the Pack + Socket (890)
      Sorry if I've disturbed You.
      Have a nice day ^_^

    • @SelwenG
      @SelwenG  7 лет назад

      Haha Thanks and no problem! I think I've got an issue of only answering in speeches... - And out of those, Hunger of the Pack + Eye of Guarm for most situations, Hunger of the pack + Eye of Command for bosses(single-target) so you can take proper advantage out of its buff.
      Eye of Command is one of your best BiS trinkets but since its only 865, Hunger of the Pack (890) will be the best one that you have, now choosing between Eye of Command and Eye of Guarm is a bit tricky but correct if I'm wrong - Eye of Command(at 865) is giving you 150 crit per stack for a total of 1500 at 10 stacks, but you loose stacks if you target switch, so better for single-target, bad if multi-targeting.
      Eye of Guarm(875 if with crit stat) is about 1000/1100 correct? plus 150 with a gem, so it will be worse BUT if there's target swapping, say a dungeon or certain boss fights is going to be more powerful than Eye of Command since you always have that crit buff up, without needing to build it.
      if you care enough to switching trinkets around. Do it like I said, if you can't bother, just use Eye of Guarm with Hunger of the Pack for general use.
      Out of all of those Hunger of the Pack is the most powerful simply due to its higher ilvl(more crit and agility).

      @teodortrajanoski4135 7 лет назад

      Selwen & Deanena Okey. Thank You again for a fast response. You were corect about Your guessings up for Eye of Command. Yeap it is giving 150 crit per stack at 865. Thank You for Your kindness. Thank You for all of Your suggestions. Have a nice day ! ! ! ^_^

    sometimes i have no rage and no glaves to use, in that moment its worth use fel rush to dps or its a complete wrong choice ?

    • @SelwenG
      @SelwenG  7 лет назад

      In single target and with Demon Blades? - No, like I said in the video you need to keep still in front of the mob , to auto-attack it to gain Fury, if you Fel rush, you losing those auto-attack and procs, in turn, losing potential Fury.
      Only use it when you need the mobility.
      For multi-target or light cleave though (and with Momentum talent), of course, you want to use it.

    • @XBATster
      @XBATster 7 лет назад

      why is it then that most of the guides show priority number one - use fel rush if it is about to reach 2 charges?

    • @SelwenG
      @SelwenG  7 лет назад

      In cleaving? - Yes, in single target, unless you need to move, you don't want to use it (with Demon Blades).
      You can even look at logs of high-end Havoc DH, in pure single target fights and see how often, if any, Fel Rush is used.
      Its a small detail but I notice myself while playing it, when I first started playing my Havoc I used Fel Rush everytime I had no fury, which lead to this moment that I would be clicking buttons and seeing numbers but in the long run I was building less fury, then I stopped using it and the downtimes grew smaller, because when I fel rushed my character always stopped auto-attacking for that 1/2 seconds, potentially loosing some fury during that very small time frame.
      But as with everything, if you feel that's best for you and is actually giving better DPS by using it, no one will prevent you from doing so. :)

    • @SelwenG
      @SelwenG  7 лет назад

      Hey, so I been looking at your logs and armory, everything seems to be in order, really can't see anything wrong in your rotation, besides some minor things.
      Now your DPS is good, I wouldn't say is too low, if you compare with other DH of your ilvl is going to be about the same, remember that just a 5 ilvl difference, the DPS boost is quite large.(say 900 to 905)
      That said, you don't seem to be using foods nor pots during your boss fights, that will increase it for a bit.
      (The Hungry Magister food / Potion of Old War pot) combine your pot with Meta & Bloodlust. Plus rune if you progressing. You also seem to be missing a ring enchant but that might be an armory update issue.
      Another thing is that you still don't have your tier 4 set bonus which will also help quite a bit for the extra CS crit, now don't expect a 50k DPS boost but doing/getting that should help a bit.
      If you should re-roll or not, I would say stick with it for while if you like the spec, don't re-roll just because you feel you not doing enough, get your golden trait, keep getting more gear and see what happens.
      If you really don't like the playstyle or if you don't feel comfortable, consider re-rolling but for now I would say you are doing fine. :)

    Would you recommend taking bloodlet over first blood when you have the wrist legendary?

    • @SelwenG
      @SelwenG  7 лет назад

      Hmm, yes and no, you going to have to pick which fights is best to use Bloodlet. I don't possess such legendary so I can't give you a 100% right answer so im going to try and add some logic, and just going by what the talent does.
      Pure single-target? - No, Firstblood damage with Blade Dance will always be higher than bloodlet even with lego.
      You going to get a lot of Blade Dances in there, on a very consistent basis and is boosted by your Meta, your Bloodlet (even with lego) is simply adding a dot and in single target, the damage won't be enough to compete.
      AoE? - Is going to depend on how long the fight is going to be, if the mobs die too quickly, won't be worth it, if its a constant AOE, which rarely happens, might be worth it
      BUT if there's some cleaving (2/4 mobs) such as in a boss fight like the Botanist, Bloodlet with the lego will really show its power.
      So should you take it? - The answer is yes but only in some selected fights of which you will fully take advantage out of it such as fights with a sustained cleaving.(Botanist E.G)
      Remember if there's cleaving you will be using Fel Rush, so you want to get Momentum talent as well, combine that 20% damage buff with Throw Glaive(Bloodlet).
      Hope that helps a bit :)

    Why would anyone use demon blades over the assured fury build up of demons bite? And from what i can tell there is no dps difference, and its not like you need to cast anything in the meantime. I also found that i could spam my chaos strikes faster with demons bite build up.

      Aaron MacDonald you can build fury while spending it, meaning you are not gcd locked

    Demon Blades is useless... it Replace Demon bite wich make it so much harder to regain fury

      Yeah that's why every player in the top 10 list used it against the 3 last bosses of tomb.

    at this point if you do not have Anger Of The Half Giants just reroll.

    • @GearsofBeef
      @GearsofBeef 7 лет назад

      Matthew Kolmorgen please do not do so! aha, using anger is absolutely wonderful for single target fights such as krosus but for a fight such as botanist or skorp id say the ring pretty much flops, trinket and helmet is pretty much bis for skorp (out of mythic) and for bota, you will get more overall fight damage from bracers and shoulders using bloodlet.

    • @MK-lg8rg
      @MK-lg8rg 7 лет назад

      Reece thing is I do have Anger and am 9/10M (Urstrulii Stormrage US) almost rerolled to rogue before I got it. On Tich you use Bloodlet Bracers and ring. only one you wouldn't use ring on could be skorp, but people use it anyways with Helm. But in this patch it's extremely hard to be competitive unless you have the ring.

    Just found this guide, and would say it's one of the best so far. Just start playing wow for a few weeks and hop in for Havoc dh immediately tho, and i need some advices.
    - My ilvl is 885 and got the legendary ring that recommended in the video. Currently i'm using the first build(demon blades). I read so many guides and watch many DH pov vids, even try to look from wowlog of one of the best DH out there. I try to copy and do everything like them. However when i jump into the heroic and mystic raid with my guild fellows, my damage is still one of the lowest on the table( only higher than tanks and healers, which should be expected) and also in wowlog show that i can do damage only 26% of my ilvl is there anything i can do in order to improve it?
    (Btw here is my log, www.warcraftlogs.com/rankings/character/23595453/latest )

      So, I been looking up on your logs and 2 big things, first your talents are in a weird mix, at least on those 2 fights, you using Demonic with talents you should be using with Chaos Blades. For Single-Target(Demon Blades build) - FelBlade > Demon Blades > Firstblood > your choice > Nemesis or Momentum(Sustained AoE/Cleave) > Chaos Blades.
      If you want to use Demonic - Blind Fury > Demon Appetite > Chaos Cleave(AoE/Cleave) or Firstblood(Single-Target) > Your choice > Nemesis(Single-target) Momentum(Sustained AoE/Cleave) > Demonic.
      Try to use the first build in raids or mostly single-target bosses like Chronomatic Anomaly which was the boss you have in your log.
      And use Demonic build for mythic + or lol boss like Skorpyron for that juicy aoe.
      If you really like Demonic you can use that build for single-target it will simply yield worse results depending on your RNG and how good you are with it.
      As for stats and your rotation seems to be in order, but the other thing was, you really need to try and get better relics :P. If the logs dont lie. But your talents choices seems to be the biggest issue here.
      Hope I could help!

      Thank a lot for the advice, currently i use Demonic build in most cases, except raiding(i'll try to use demon blade instead). also just change my relics to 890s now too. have to tell you that it's so much better now.
      Lastly, i'm still concern about my %dmg of ilvl. i did like only 26%, in my best perform i can do only 55%. Is that relevant?

      Best recommendation is to ditch the Demons blades, it's useless and will make you into a lazy player, demon blades makes poor players out of everyone, sad to say. Hence why it's been shit nerfed so many times and is recieving yet another nerf in the coming patch via the leggy ring nerf explicit to demon blades.

    I really don't like the single target spec, I always run out the stuff to click... that's why I like demonic spec.. don't care if that's aoe only... in some pug, i can still do more DMG than other standard spec DH

      熊在加 amen, demon blades is a terrible talent, who wants to wait around for auto attacks? the damage difference isn't that great anyway

    • @seth2428

      +RussellmaniaKW how big is the difference between demons blade and prepared?

    • @SelwenG
      @SelwenG  7 лет назад

      Quite a lot, one 'mix' of talents you can do though is having the demon blade build of talent choices, but instead of the actual Demon Blades talent go for Demonic Appetite, but leave all the other talents.
      You get Demon's Bite back plus all of the good single-target cooldowns(Chaos Blades, Felblade) and you also getting extra fury from the soul fragments.
      Rotation stays pretty much the same almost a mix between the two(Demonic and Demon Blades) but at least you have more buttons to click and manage.
      Demon Blades will still have a steadier build-up but I don't blame anyone for thinking is boring because it really is :P

      熊在加 i will say the key to the demonblades build very much revolves largely around the 4 set for DH, the simple stacking of crit to around 40percent and having a 50percent or higher crit chance with chaos strike allows it to cost 20 pain alot of the time, demon blades (especially combined with the ring) allows for a very good stream of pain which in turn means you won't have a large downtime on chaos strike and your rotation, you should be prioritising blade dance off cd as well while generating pain and its much more of an active rotation than you think. especially when you dont have any rage make sure to active fill with glaive throw and fel rush to maximise active dps

    Why do you have a big X on bloodlet? Bloodlet is the best multitarget choice in the tier IF you have the legendary bracers. Yet you don't talk about it at all. Everyone take this guide with a grain of salt, this guy doesn't have every legendary hence doesn't know every play style out there, there's better ways to play your DH on cleave fights than showed in this guide.

    • @SelwenG
      @SelwenG  7 лет назад +8

      Like I said at the end'ish of the vid, if you have the lego bracers test your own results with Bloodlet.
      It's impossible for me to test every single playstyle myself with every single lego, without resorting to research on 'third party info' which I try avoid using. (Sims, other players or even other guides), but is something that I might start doing going forward.
      On my own is impossible achievement while im trying to cover all specs.
      My intention with the guide is to give you a starter point on how to play Havoc, from there you carve your own path with gear that you get, be lego/trinket's etc and see what best works for you. :)
