When I listen to this song my heart was bleeding, the spirit that follow this song is in deed the spirit of God
I sat next to the ladies section at one of their performances. The unison of their voices was incredible. I grew up with the choir and the tabernacle. It is a very special place to me. I was baptized in the tabernacle. Yes there was a baptistery. I now have stage 4 prostate cancer, so you can imagine my feelings. The Lord directed me to this hymn somehow. He is more than kind to me.

This song reminds me of my dear sweet mom. She sang this song in church. I miss her very much. She has passed away.
One of most beautiful and meaningful hymns ever written. The Lord calls all sinners to come while there is breath in their lungs and hope for salvation and mercy! This hymn sums up beautifully what my channel is all about! Come home! God bless!

Death comes as a friend, they say. And as I get older, I can clearly see this to be true. This song and heavenly choir singing further enlightens this glorious reality. Even with all the pandemics deaths, let us remember that release from all bodily struggles and cares is a totally blissful, wondrous experience.

This takes me back to my childhood as it was one of my Mother's favourtes, she passed away in 1983 but even now at the age of 72 years I can still hear her singing it.

I grew up in the Methodist Church and this was by far my favorite Hymn. This one and "In The Garden"

I heard this song along time ago and I've been wanting to hear it again, but didn't know the name of it. I called it "Come Home and not Softly and Tenderly." Now that I've heard it again, it shall always be my favorite hymns. Thanks Tabernacle Choir!

Yes, I remember this hymn in the movie The Trip to Bountiful" too. Geraldine Page won an Oscar for her role in this movie. I remember this hymn growing up in the Baptist Church.
