Insel Air MD82 Takeoff from runway 29 usually they use runway 11 but when the wind change then they use runway 11 so i was lucky that day my 1st time taking off from the other side. Love the Mad Dog!

I love the sound inside the cabin - and the window view, the speed. It is beautiful and nice to look down on Aruba, an Island of the beautiful Caribbean.

Great video!. Never seen that reef just west of Oranjestad from the air. I could almost spot Matthew's Bar Restaurant off the beach. Can't wait for restrictions to ease to return to Aruba. The happy island.

Awesome video and engine sound! Why were people clapping after takeoff? Anyway, this is definitely an ex-American Airlines and ex-TWA MD-80, you can tell because of the gap in the silver lining on the wing and the white gap on the flaps, as TWA used to put a black stripe on the wing and most American MD-80s have the gap in the silver lining.

Who cares ? A single eruption of a volcano emits so much CO2 that it´s doesn´t matter whether our cars or planes are a little more or less environment friendly. The problem with this plane is that it burns way too much fuel for today´s standards and this is the reason why we won´t see it flying for much longer.

Interesting. I've never seen a plane take off in Aruba going in that direction. That's the direction in which planes usually land there.
