What a great trail. Found myself saying 'Careful,' several times - one wrong step could really ruin your day. Bandit is a trooper - love how he keeps looking back to make sure you're still there and are O.K. Be well, stay safe. 🥾
I saw many a PCT hiker divert off the trail to hike through Tunnel Falls. What a fantastic trail from beginning to end. The rain certainly didn't deter the three of you.
I was last on this trail in late July of 2012. I was heartbroken with what was going on at Punchbowl Falls. LOTS of people with large coolers, folding chairs, beach towels, and a folding table. There were bikinis and a football was being thrown back and forth. Some people had forwarded the river and had settled themselves on vegetation on the other side. There were bathers, and there was beer and no one, except for me, looked to be even 40. Of course, I hiked it on a beautiful summer day. You’re being smarter by hiking it on a winter day.
Bringing the dog near falls really makes me nervous. I was t Laurel Falls one day when a friend threw a stick in the falls. Melanie went after it and got it just before it went over the falls. She was way too close to the falls. Just turned round and brought the stick back. But on the bright side I took the scouts hiking up bear creek. We crossed the creek for easier going, but when we got to the climb out spot we had to cross back. I told the scouts to take their shoes off and tie shoelaces together and hang them around their neck. Well one scout didn't do that and dropped his tennis shoe half way across, and their it went, floating down the creek. I quickly picked up a rock and threw it at the shoe and said, "fetch". She went after the shoe and got it and brought it back. He got to walk back to the cars sith both shoes.
Yes, I would agree you guys are pretty spoiled regarding waterfall hikes especially as compared to waterfall hikes in East Texas (none!). Beautiful area, thanks for the ride!
wow, that is one wild trail, love it. I guess if you were afraid of heights that wouldn't be the trail to hike with all "cliffs" along the way. Take care and looking forward to the next video
I joined a hiking organization for seniors last week. We are not scheduled to do PNW as it is too far south. Mostly we are scheduled to do both sides of Pacific NW mainland coastal border. In and near Canada. If the political climate is not too cold for such travel. I would sincerely regret not being able to visit BC again.
A beautiful hike with awesome waterfalls! Enjoying seeing you , Darren and Bandit out on the trail together! It was fun seeing the photos taken by your retro camera!
Yes tunnel falls is amazing. I followed a few pct hikers this year and they all took this route. Beautiful indeed and lovely vibrant colors on the Photos
The cold pizza put a stamp of excellence on this pretty hike. Thanks. I have been to Iceland. Most awesome waterfalls(like 1,000. Seriously), glaciers, and volcanoes. I did the Ring Road. A complete 1,000 mile circle around the Island. Plus, hiking to the Arctic Circle. Best trip ever. You would be use to the weather. Rainy, cool, misty. Then cold, sunny and hot. Depends on location at the moment. It really is an explorer’s paradise. Wishing you a mighty fine life. Happy Trails!
I get an ear full of what 1024Pete mentioned when talking with people on or off the Alaska Ferry. The docking terminal is where my senior citizen sea kayaking often visits.
That’s a beautiful area, wow! My favorite short hike to a waterfall is in the Smoky Mountains called Laurel Falls. We have a bunch of cool waterfall hikes in the Cumberland Mountains as well. Thanks for sharing!
WOW!!😂This is Totally Awesome hike.! This hike was so Alive with thunderous rapids, 💦 waterfalls 💦 and rain ! This hike is way better in winter because of increased volume of water 💦 and rain. You are so lucky to live in hiking paradise and can get a lot of content for your videos nearby!
The beautiful Pacific Northwest. Your little family is so adorable❤ My favorite waterfall hike is at Silver Falls State Park in Oregon. Ten waterfalls in a 7 mile loop. Beautiful!
Look at all that water! No wonder the Columbia River is such a beast. I never been to the PNW but you've really open my eyes to how many cool spots y'all have. Future video idea.. You probably already thought about this. You should take your husband & Bandit and go camping in one of those remote fire towers in OR or WA. I hear they can be rented fairly cheap and those views 🌄😎.
Fun watching you walk through the rain and mud....LOL. Great stuff. Nice camera.!! BTW, CCC unless there was a local one, wasn't formed until 1933 and lasted until 1942 under the President Franklin Roosevelt administration. But they did build most of the stone walls you walked by on the AT (Blue Ridge Parkway). Happy holidays Mojo.!
Well, this was an early Christmas present; I love waterfalls! That camera of yours takes me back. 😊 The anticipation of getting the film developed was an event to share with friends. I'm from Maine, but my favorite waterfall is Glen Ellis Falls (it's the pic next to my name RickINFJ) in Gorham, NH. I'm hoping to hit Moxie Falls in Maine in 2025. This trail was epic! Thanks Mojo Claus! 🎅

He is the best hiking buddy! 😊
I believe that this was part of the PCT before it was moved to a more equestrian friendly route.
It is beautiful.❤
Awesome, thanks for sharing this with us. I love Oregon, its been awhile since I have been there but this seems like a bucket list item!
It's truly a special place! I hope you get to experience it again soon!

Great video and brilliant photos. Well done. I have seen some great waterfalls here in the UK, but none as awesome as yours in Oregon. Cheers.

I was getting vertigo just watching the dog walk that trail. Beautiful place!
The whole hike made me feel like you were walking through a Bob Ross Painting.🥰🤩
Lots of happy little trees!

Beautiful hike! My son hiked it in 2009, I didn’t realize the trail was so narrow. Yikes!
Last time I was up there we were fighting the fire. The time before that I took the most majestic picture of my oldest sons.

Wow, what a beautiful place !!! Oregon is a beautiful state, no doubt about it. Great filming. As always, are you thinking about hiking the PTC ?
I like the new intro
I’d like to know who, and why, this trail was made
