But the glass panel doesn't perfectly fit in the slot in mullion, there's a gap. How to make the panel extend to fill in the gap?
You can try changing offset.
Very informative! But please tell me one thing, why didn't you directly import DWG in mullion family template itself and sketch the detailing of the mullion?.

Does it work for Transom as well or do you need to create a Transom profile family? Understandably Mullions work here because mullions are vertical but transoms are horizontal so I am taking we cannot use this particular profile family for transoms, is this correct? ie. there is no Left/Right views to this Mullion Profile family which is what you would need for a transom.
