That story how your Quantum came to be is insane haha game looks very cool. So many good games man i got a chance to play Jay's Major Havoc at FreeplayRI, was my first time playing it, has beautiful graphics.
Paperboy is totally worthy of nice sideart and restore for sure man. That's cool you dumped the rare crazy climber rom for mame. I like discs of tron ; ) Qbert is so classic its crazy. Tapper's side art always reminded me of the show Cheers' intro.
720 was always elite for me, older kids were killing it and id like die from bees and fail epically haha
I would absolutely convert that sente cab to a Stocker, one of my grail games.

Great video. If you get the extension cables for your camera, an interesting live stream might be to go around and fix all of the little problems like the light on tron. Just a thought.

the tube for the skate game is ok jhon, you just need to put some fridge magnets at the corners of the tube to focus the 3 colors into one.

Wow. I was just watching this video again and caught when you said you traded a red Donkey Kong for the Pole Position. These days you could buy 5 Pole Positions for one red DK. haha. Oh how times change.
Yeah. Bad move maybe. Lol.
All things equal. Id rather have the blue one. The red ones have sum glitch when ur on the ladders. The barrels won't come down if you're near the top of ladder. Also, think the reds have the 4 stack board and u cant add D2K. And pole position is a fantastic game

The PPU is the Picture Processing Unit. There's one in the NES as well. People have pulled the PPUs out of Play Choice 10s and put them in their NESes just to get RGB output. Though you have to patch the games to be compatible with the different color palettes.
Yes, I know. :) Certain VS. PPUs work with the NES RGB mod. The prices of those PPUs shut up crazily.

Cool stuff. I'm surprised I've never heard of some of these. I'd have more fun here than at the huge ohio amusement park arcade I just watched a video of. That one vector game major havoc is tripped out.
They had a 720 machine at the 711 around the corner from me but I think I'd die right away to bees and then have to leave. IDK but I was always way more into the idea of the game than I got to play it. I remember being let down by the nes version.
I recently noticed the 1985 Disney movie 'The Black Cauldron' looks and sounds a lot like dragons lair and space ace.The sound and animation is so similar. It even has yellow flashes once in a while

If I were you I'd leave the sente cabinet where it is and swap the mortal kombat 2 for one of your smaller cabinets such as the PAC Caberet or computer space ball. The mk2 just sticks out to far and is to wide for that spot. I think the computer space ball is the best choice because then I'd be right across from the computer space.
Greg Elliott i was thinking the same thing i was thinking the pacman though or even crazy climber because that has a small footprint as well.
Good call on the Space Ball. I was just going to suggest he move the MK2 if he's going to keep games there (after he's done restoring it).
a old nes controller i had you used too do that kind of thing with and i used too use a role of electical tape too rock between the buttons in time like that and was fracking nuts at it

My bbc version, which was great, had mountain dew instead of bud.
Being I scotland in the 80s didn't have a clue what mountain dew was!.
45:34 I'm not sure if Luigi was named in the arcade version, but he definitely was in some of the advertising for home versions. (particularly with the commercials parodying the 'Car 52, Where Are You?' theme song.)

On the Robotron brain level, do you know the trick of keeping the brain guys from grabbing Mikey? The brains won't turn the moms into evil moms until they pick up Mikey. So don't pick up any moms, at all, try to kill all the brains, and keep one of the firing robots alive. You can then clean up every single mom. Massive points.
That TV needs new filter caps. That's why the numbers look like they are bending in the wind.
Pole Position Trick
High Gear, Low Gear, High Gear, I learned that ages ago by myself.
Franz still has your laserdisc player, but do you still have buffet's crimpers?
When you first start showing Pole Position, you can see the reflection of those missing kids. Creepypasta!
About losing sound. Strange thing happened with my Galaga that has a 60-1. Walked across the carpet with socks on and when I touched the coin door, received a nice static ⚡️The machine was powered on and I lost sound. Did I the ole reset and back to normal. Found it kinda strange. Nice video 👍🏻
yeah, that happens A LOT with the Midway games with the metal coin chutes.
I played a really glitchy cabaret version of donkey kong Jr at a retro arcade in Monona Wisconsin once it was deffinetly a strange game lol especially cause the board or monitor wad flakey
John you missed a secret warpzone in super mario Bros when you made that block appear on 4-2 there's actually a secret vine in the blocks near there you can climb it and in the nes version it takes you to 8-1 Vs version I think takes to 6-1
The reason why vs Super Mario Bros. is harder is because they replaced the later levels with levels from the Japanese Super Mario Bros. 2 levels, also known as the lost levels in the states.

+Arcade Hollywood not sure about that. It does have a different feel. Sometimes need to play a few games first.
I love love love my Star Wars Episode I! It's one of the most played by my family and friends...I am going to LED mine also. Yea the flippers feel just a bit slow.

John, Im a long time viewer and first time arcade owner as of this past Sunday. Now Ive got a question for you. Ive been scanning over your videos and I subbed to Tim's Channel as he rebuilt a Tutankham recently and I couldnt find an answer to my issue. I recently picked up a Tutankham Arcade and in the process of transporting it the degauss wire that goes around the inside of the monitor let go as it appears that it was held in place with rubber o-rings instead of clips as I found like 4 broken o-rings free balling around inside the cabinet when I got home with the unit and couldnt figure out where they came from at first. The Monitor is a Sampo model that was stock with the machine. Do you have any idea what to use to get it back into position and to hold it in place. I was looking for a spot to zip tie it into but couldnt really see anything to tie down to. Is there anything you could suggest as a fix to this issue as I wasnt sure about duct taping it to the monitor after discharging it first of course to avoid shock. If figure at some point youve run into this issue before an may have a fix for it.
I'd try the zip ties again. Get some real long ones and zip tie to the corners of tube metal brackets.
