This was exactly what type of video I was looking for. Thank you.
I was searching Lenovo pen and i found a new medical channel , esto es lo máximo
Bro how can I turn on the pen?
Thank you, the exact video I've been waiting for!
Until I watched this video I had no idea what the metal ring tool was for. Thanks for clearing that up for me! I bought the pen to go with my new Lenovo Yoga laptop. However I had no idea of the existence of the second generation Active Pen 2. Shows you that I should have done more research. Anyway, I think I'll be fine with Active Pen 1. Cheers!
I received active 2 pen with my new 920 yoga. Didnt know i like stylus pens that much
Thank you for the Link that you included. I am very happy with the pen :) . Thank you
My pleasure!
Wonderful review. Thanks for sharing 🙏
Thanks for watching!
Thank you, it's a very helpful video!
Glad it was helpful!
i got myself a lenovo active and i dont see the white light that everyone is talking about
i got a aaaa batteries and still nothing
Great video. I watch this video on my new Lenovo Yoga 530 and try to figure out how the active pen works😅 its hard to write with it .. I have to practice more i guess😅 i hope that i can write with the pen soon, next months will start the University for me. Greetings from Germany🙂
Is it working fine with the yoga 530? I'm thinking of buying it and use it instead of a notebook in the university...
@@shahar612 yes, it works really good👍 it is fast and very light 💻
Thanks a lot😁

thank you for the information, BTW, I am studying the same subject and the same content
nice! hope it's going well
I have one bundled with Ideapad C340, and unfortunately they did'nt give the substitution nibs. Subtitution nibs are a hardly to find anywhere. Too bad since the pen is tend to dropped incidentally and the nib is likely to break. I have mine broken and now it unusable since I can't find the substitution one.
Although I really wanted an iPad, I cannot buy one because as a software engineer I still need a full laptop. This solves so many issues. Thank you! The pen might not be as precise and accurate as the ipad one, but in the real world you dont have the best paper/pen available at all time too. So this is quite a thing for me :)
get the Active Pen 2, it's more accurate when writing
This was very helpful.
appreciate the feedback!
Hi Doc, does it compatible with Lenovo Tab P10?
Great info thank you!!
Great video - thank you! I know this isn't technical support :) but how did you pair the pen with your computer? I have a Lenovo Yoga 910 laptop and I purchased a Lenovo Active Pen (not the Active Pen 2) and I can't figure out how to make it work. Only instructions I find are for an Active Pen 2 where there is a button on top to activate the Bluetooth and pair the device - which mine doesn't have. Could you point me to how I set this thing up? Sadly Lenovo has been no help. Thanks!
Active pen 1, you just put the AAAA battery in and start using it
Thank you! Hmmmm, must be some setting on my laptop I'm missing, because mine does nothing when I bring it up the screen. Also, I don't find a Wacom app. ?? Sorry for all of the questions!
Finally got some help from Lenovo - I have the Yoga 910 Glass which can't use the Active Pen - it can only use a capacitive pen.
so this pen will not work with the yoga 910 80vf???
All I know is I have a Yoga 910-13IKB Glass and the person on tech support chat at Lenovo told me this pen doesn't work with "the Yoga 910 Glass". I told them that the page for the pen says it works with Yoga 900s, so this was misleading. They enabled me to send the pen back for a full refund and no shipping. The tech support said only capacitive pens work on the 910 Glass. I'm stiff not sure what the "Glass" part of the name means vs. the other Yoga 910 models.
I don’t how to pair the pen I put the AAAA battery that came with it but didn’t know how to connect please help?
you shouldn't have to "pair" it to your laptop, but double check that your laptop actually supports Active Pen, if it does, it should automatically start writing
I didn't find anything I was looking for... I was interested in the precision between the tip and the mark on the screen, I would have liked to see a close shot of the pen touching the screen, but you only film your hand, we couldn't see anything worth watching. I would have like you to present it more thoroughly, like presenting how it work, how to connect-it, how many button, what they does, does the pen interact with the screen when they are touching or when the pen is close... Those were all my questions before watching, and you didn't answer any of them...
appreciate the feedback
Can this pen work on non touch screen laptop
My old battery runs out. But I actually cant open the pen. The top seems so tight and cannot be unscrewed open.
Do you have any issues when the side of your hand and pen touches the screen at the same time?
Doctor the position of your lights are very harsh, I think the lights are on the ground.
I bought this pen. I have been struggling to connect it to my lenovo yoga 500 80r6. But it won’t do anything. What should I do???
use link in the description to see if pen is compatible, if it is, then take out the battery, wait a minute, then put it back in and try
Bro I have purchased Lenovo m10fhd plus with active pen3 but I am unable to pair them, can you please let me know how to pair them?
Same question
Just got a lenovo ideapad flex 4 (i think) i dont do any art work, i did want to try and learn to draw for animation videos but my drawing is terrible, i really wasnt sure if i’d need one for any other reason than drawing, bit of a price for non-essential add on
I know this is not what the video was about but what software are you using to annotate and edit your pdfs! It looks so intuitive!
Drawboard PDF, it's written on the top of the window, with the title of the document.
Please, how can turn on the pen in my lab because I never use it (((

I have a Lenovo ideapad flex 4. What kind of pen should I buy if I'm working on adobe?
does it work with the yoga 530?
I have purchased lenovo k10 fhd (4gb ram, 64 gb ROM). Could you please suggest which stylus/active pen should i buy (with palm rejection, and no lag) for making digital notes or for painting. I'll be using apps like Squid/ Bamboo paper/ Ibis paint.. kindly suggest

just add 4a battery to the pen. simple as that
@@aaronsaldanha2815 no how do I connect it to the computer
@@paytonbrown2051 There is no other means of connecting the pen to the computer other than powering the pen by adding batteries, after adding the batteries the pen will automatically sync with the computer. To check whether the pen is synced use it on the screen
what laptop are you testing this on? My mom is buying me a lenovo thinkpad yoga 370 and im just hoping the screen isn't so crummy as to take away from the note taking experience.
Lenovo X1 Yoga 2nd gen
Does it Work with lenovo tab using USB OTG?
Hi! I already got a Yoga 530, I watched your video and it says you can plug into your laptop that little black cub which holds the pen. But I can't find the correct place to plug it into... Could you be so nice and help me? O.o..
It looks like a weird USB plug-in. Try sticking it in the USB slot.
Is the serial number written anywhere on the pen (for identification if you lose it or mix them up?)
the US part number is #GX80K32882

Should I go for the active pen 1 or active pen 2 if all I really need it for is writing notes - not really for art because in my opinion the active pen 2 is really expensive
if you're writing a lot, spend the money and get the 2
I have a Lenovo Yoga 510 but i can not find a suitable pen. Does anyone know if this specific pen is functional with my laptop?

Hi I'm looking for a cheap tablet thats around 120$ and that can use a active pen
Can you help me out?
Does your palm interrupt the writing when you're resting your hand on the screen as you're writing?
Nope :)
This is compatible with Lenovo S1?
Isn't your hand interacting with the screen?
ya it happens sometimes
for me it does not ever happen when I'm writing, the only thing that might happen is you move the page like scroll, but it wont mark the page
Does this pen work normally on lenovo p11 tablet?
Which software are you using for editing of pdf files?
is this pen compatible with Lenovo yoga 700-14ISK ? thank you
What the name of application you USed
Drawboard mostly
Can we have links for the apps used in the video please.
Did it work for lenovo laptop i3 10th gen
What app are you using?
Because it’s not capacitive, can you rest your hand on the Lenovo device while writing (aka palm rejection)?
Gipson Bachman yep
correct, palm rejection is amazing, i never have to feel worried about resting my palm
Yup... That's what's good about this pen. Any other stylus wouldn't do the trick.
hi what app u using to open the slides and take notes on them

Hey Dr. Can you please compare Lenovo's Active pen 1 Vs Active pen 2
that's on my to do list!
Does is support on lenovo tab m10 hd??
Which app are you using to hilight text?
Hi! I know this is an old video but I can’t find any way to make the pen work. I bought a Lenovo Yoga 510 about a year and a half ago and this is the first pen I’ve used with it. The only problem is that the pen will not work. At all. I can only find ways to connect the Bluetooth pen (the active pen 2) but nothing for this one. I have tried taking the battery out and putting it back in, but it still isn’t working. Please help if you can because drawing with my finger is a nightmare!
I don't think the Yoga 510 supports Active pen, I think it only supports your finger or a stylus, it doesn't have active pen technology I believe, that's why your pen doesn't work with your laptop unfortunately.
So you can rest your hand on the screen while using it? Thanks
yes, 100% has amazing palm rejection.. picks up what the pen writes only, unless you set up the program/software you're running to use your finger to write, which I've never done
Does it work on all android phones?
Which Programm did u use for highlighting the Text?
I use DrawboardPDF and BluebeamPDF both have free trials
how about writing insane amounts of text and equations? Like 3-4 pages in an hour kind of thing?
get the Active pen 2 if that's the case
does this pen work with HP Windows 10 Pavilion
Hi. I bought LENOVO YOGA 520-14IKB nine months ago. It comes with an active pen 1 and the AAAA battery. I haven't tried this pen before, but it seems not working. I already tried to take out the battery around 2 mins and try again, but nothing happens. Please help.
make sure you're positioning the battery correctly, maybe flip it around? or use another new battery
Do we need to change the nib of this Lenovo active pen?
perhaps if it begins to get worn? I haven't had to
Does the computer have like a palm rejecter when you write w/ the pen?
yes 100%, does not pick up any palm interaction at all, only the pen input when you're writing
Lenovo yoga 700 11 isk ? Reviwe please
Is there a way to turn off the pen, or does it turn off automatically when not in use?
it only turns on when the pen tip receives pressure, i.e. when you're writing, it creates an electric connection, when not in use, no connection, so it's off automatically
What's the name of the program that you used in the video? Minute 3.37
DrawboardPDF... the $10 version, not the pro version. It's so far the best, not perfect, but best program to take notes onto a pdf for Windows
Where's the review for the second pen?
I've been so bust :/
Does it work with the Lenovo yoga book?

you can configure them, most use one button for erase and the other for right click
how to pairing the pen to ours device?
you don't have to pair, just start writing
how do you pair the pen to the laptop?
just add 4a battery to the pen. simple as that
Why isn't mine working?
take the battery out, wait a minute then put it back in, and try
Can you use this with a HP pavilion
No both are made with different technologies
IS THERE ANY OTHER STYLUS PEN NOT FROM LENOVO YOGA BOOK THAT WILL WORK ON LENOVO YOGA BOOK IM JUST MAKIN' SURE
There definitely are, but make sure it's Wacom technology and not N-trig. I think there's is a Dell active pen that will work. Also, Wacom has a new pen that is both Wacom and N-trig built in so it's versatile. But you really have to do the research in the pen tech, to make sure it's compatible :) If u can, try to go into an electronics store that might have them displayed, you can bring your laptop there and test to see which pen works on it.
Aw thanks
Man, how can you edit a pdf document, need I a specific additional software? Or just open the pdf with acrobat and edit with the pen?
One way to edit is that you can print the pdf to Microsoft one note and then use the write function in there to make your notes.
@@jennyoconnor745 in Windows store I found a PDF reader to edit with the pen. Thanks
