Man... Those philosophical pieces at the end of every himym episode is what made it so special.
And worser shows like modern family try to copy that unsuccessfully
@@doggo7078 funny how you say that when modern family episode endings were just as good as himym , if not , even leaving the audience feeling better
@@-thasisters-6194 Really? I don't like the endings in modern family. Though to be fair, I don't like the characters either, nor the plot, nor the show, so I might be biased here
@@doggo7078 yeah the pumpkin episode was perfect. Btw this can be a prequel as well as sequel to modern family
Thats why HIMYM is iconic in my opinion. The show was grounded in a place that everyone could relate to. The ups and downs of life, relationships, etc. Its why I'll always love the show
“William Zabka starred in a Karate Kid sequel where he’s the main character.”
Barney produced it
Hyah!
Badass
Cobra Kai yeah?
Yep that’s right
"And that's how it goes, kids. The friends, neighbors, drinking buddies and partners in crime you love so much when you're young, as the years go by, you just lose touch."
Am i really the only one getting this weird feeling in my stomach and feeling sentimental when hearing this??
Nope

There’s one friend I’ve held onto. She can’t get rid of me 😊

So in Patrice section, there was a foresadhowing of the Robin marriage's problems with Barney?
Probably not it was just a joke
It might not have been about Barney she was talking about in that moment, but obviously it was a sign of unhappy times for the two of them to come. Considering the fact that they had filmed the final scene with the kids by season 2, the creators obviously knew how the story was going to end.
Yes, they foreshadowed it for a long time. I unfortunately noticed it a few seasons before. Any flash-forward in time, Robin and Barney very obviously hide their ring fingers. I think we were meant to know it wouldn’t last
Most episode were foreshadowing that
@@ivancastro3827 really? name 2 episodes
William Zabka became the star on a number one Netflix show, your uncle Barney has memorize every line. Zoey found her birth family in a magical small town in Maine.
I love this
And Zoey then became the wife of an actual Captain and lived happily ever after with their two kids. :)
Your aunt robin joined a secret government agency, she works with billionaires, scientists, soldiers, and someone she calls a literal god
She finally liked boats lol
I just realized this is so true. Barney is a huge fan of Cobra Kai and must watch it with his daughter.
To be fair, Ted probably remembers faces more than names.
Ah, I tend to remember names and events they were part of more than faces.
That's how brain works visual information is more stronger than the information we received by hearing that's why we usually recognise a person but usually couldn't remember what his name was
Same thing happened with Honey
Blah blah
"Remembering this..." hits differently 😢
Facts I’m crying
Every time
The way Ted looked at Tracy.. I don’t think this happened from his past, I think him recalling the memory and him seeing the mother. Tracy In his memory is asking him what he’s doing. And he says “remembering this”. Hes actually telling himself that he’s remembering this moment when he had probably fallen in love with Tracy. Meeting his soulmate.
Not really. Lol. He's 'fallen in love' many many times. And if he did then, he probably didn't even realise.
There's a certain grief about the scene, the way he says it, that would certainly make sense given he is remembering a lost loved one.
@@ftrunks2k As Lily said, "Not like this. This is different."
DOH ! -- his soulmate was Robin
@@firstname4337 his soulmate were both, just in different times
I love that everyone’s significant others were on the show and in this episode. Expect for Ted.
Blah blah?
Zoey?
@@yehboi5482 I think they're meaning their real significant others. The actors.
Marshall didn't
Yeah lily - sandy reivers
Barney - scooter
Robin - blauman
I'd like to think that when the group needs a limo, Ranjit is still the one to drive them despite owning the limo service.
Best headcanon ever
This last phrase is so real, damn
"when you find someone you want to keep around, you do something about it" ❤️so true especially after college
Can you please explain me about it clearly?
I really wanted to know what happened to Victoria. Wish they showed her ending too
I bet she would have her bakery running smoothly along with her the one ❤️❤️.
It shows in some episodes before this one, when ted is looking for robin's necklace, looks like she returned to Germany and has its own bakery shop.
same! I wanted to see what happened to Stella. I bet it would be her with her husband and her daughter now as a whole family sitting in the theatre watching the wedding bride lol
OMG WHAT IF VICTORIA GOT TOGETHER WITH NICK, ROBIN'S EX?! HE IS A CHEF, SHE IS A BAKER. IT'S PERFECT!
@@sitcomnia Can you Imagine them becoming a cooking duo on his show with Victoria helping him find his perfect catchphrase to use? “Time to butter up with buttercup!” Lol
1:15 talk about foreshadowing
Kevin deserved better ):
I like that they incorporated most of the main cast’s real life partners into the show lol
3:25 that hit me hard
I never noticed this before, but I never noticed that it was Robin calling Patrice on her radio show (don't know how I didn't notice that). And it kind of hinted/foreshadowed Robin and Barneys eventual divorce
There were so many subtle hints their marriage wouldn't work. How about: 'I'd go see Barney and Robin arguing about the caterer or whatever it was they were fighting about that night.'
My, what a promising lead up into a marriage when you're fighting every night and aren't even married yet.
@@SerbAtheist yeah, but according to the fanbase, they were "so made for each other".
I sense a surge of copium ...
That mouse cursor is gonna make me pop a vein. :)
Ted knew, maybe not consciously but something inside him knew that tracey was the one.
U mean lebenslangerSchicksalschatz
What a dumb theory
I love how after William Zabka, a Hawk arrived. (Cobra Kai fans will understand)
Kevin should've gotten with Nora instead.
Kal Penn the actor for Kevin reviled that he’s gay and marrying his partner
@@Vamparicsaiyan so? They still fiction characters on a fictional world. Besides Neil Patrick Harris was gay behind the show and still gay til this day. But his character ended up marrying robin.
@@kevinbastidas1540 and sleeping with 300 women
@@kevinbastidas1540 To further your point, David Burtka, who played Scooter, is also gay and his character obsessed over Lily for years, before then obsessing over her doppelganger.
Also, David Burtka and Neil Patrick Harris are married. As are Alyson Hannigan (Lily) and Alexis Denisof (Sandy Rivers).
@@Zyk0th
And "Gary Blaumann" is married to Cobie Smulder
William Zabka was in a hit show called the Cobra Kai
Im almost 30 but man I feel like Ive been through this so many times. Whats omitted is the folks you lose touch with cause people died. Like kids you knew in the neighborhood, your first crush, that cool cook at your fave restaurant, and more and more.
Anyone else mad that he didn’t stay with her and went back to Robyn
Just a little😡
But he only did cause she died
6 years cmmon a lot changes
@@MK-ic6vo I agree
What? She died of an illness and he stayed single for many years to raise their kids. The reason him and Robin got back together was because they were a great match for each other but their life goals weren't the same. They reached those goals and then got together as completed and happy individuals.
@@Unperishable_sadly People don't know how to pay attention. All the times he tells his kids something outrageous that they don't believe they never claim or imply "I'll just ask mom later" because they can't. During the cut aways when the kids look skeptical they don't reference their mother in current time. They also never counter-claim something he says about their mother meaning they don't know her very well. The cherry on top, the story literally starts with Robin and fully revolves around his connection with her. The signs were as loud as they were bright but people turn their brains off to watch TV.
“You will be shocked, kids when you discover how easy it is in life to part ways with people forever” when I first heard Ted saying this, I didn’t get it and I thought he was wrong but I’ve separated with lots of people and I have no idea if I’m gonna see them again and now I don’t think he was wrong because it’s not like that feeling is gonna keep following you and upsetting you forever because in life, you separate with someone, you meet another
I love this scene so much. But I really wanted to see these people in this scene:
- Stella
- Victoria
- Nora
- Quinn
- Naomi
- Karen
- Trudy
- Katie (Robins sister)
- Wendy The Waitress
- Abby
- Maybe even Jerry Whitaker
- Cathy
- The Captain
and that's only a few, but I do love this scene a lot!!!!
We already know what happened with Stella and Wendy. They got married.
Nick and Don also
Nora man, I wished we got to see more of her
In my head canon the captain supplied Marshall in his search to find Nessie
The Captain probably married Becky after seeing her boats commercial.
The problem is, you aren’t always right about who you choose to keep around
I want a Ranjit and Bitterman spinoff!
Robin calling into Patrice's show just to take her day out on her was such a funny touch.
That's why I appreciate social media sometimes. Allows for a little bit of keeping up.
Nah
The ending ah the ending still hurts
In the end, Blauman won Robin.
And scooter won Barney and Sandy won Lily
True, True
I dont get it
@@snehil.27they’re the real life partners of the characters
@@lilygonzalez5406 oohhh
When he's talking about loosing contact with people, the only person who isn't there in the scene is Robin. Foreshadowing when she and Barney divorce and she ends up losing contact with the rest of the gang for a few years.
It's also kinda foreshadowing that Ted reallllly misses her and essentially is asking his kids for permission to go after he again.
How amazing would’ve it been if he said William Zabka and Ralph Macchio went to make a show called Cobra Kai. It became Uncle Barney’s favorite show in the world.
What I do like about this episode is that we get to see all of the previous characters futures, even the ones that we’ve only seen in like one episode.
1:21 😂
Yeah himym is better than friends...no one can change my mind
The Kinks are by far the most underrated band of all time.
Carl and Kevin. I miss you guys😔
Best SITCOM ever. Nothing comes close.
“That’s why when you find someone you want to keep around, you do something about it.”
You know I didn’t really understand what he meant by that at first. But then I graduated high school, and then the pandemic happened, and I lost track of a fair number of people that I knew growing up. I was really scared of the happening with other people I know and love, but then I watched this scene again, and I realized I had a choice. I could sit around moping about that and just wait for it to happen, or I could get up and do something about it. I think the choice is pretty obvious, don’t you?
Yes. This is why I do my best to keep track of my friends nowadays. I don't have a huge amount, but those I have I truly care about and put in the effort.
AW MAAAAAAAN 😂😭
dammit patrice, I'm not finished
It's beautiful that you didn't cut off the ending...
Is there a short version for Carol? Since Carol is Blah Blah and she said, "You can just call me Blah"😆😆😆😆
Maybe she introduced her as Caroline or something along those lines and she just said to call her Carol
Himym is one of the greatest tv shows imo
The mother’s eyes were so magical
"Remembering this" that hurts.
Carol “blah blah” is now a name partner at a law firm
And a time travel historian. 😉

This for me was the moment I realized that the show was heading towards it's end.

Rest in peace Bob Saget.
Ted lost touch with Stuart and Claudia.
Never expected to see the Lion Rampant in this video!

The bad version of how i met your father is how I met your father.
Wait, is Hawk from Cobra Kai also comes from HIMYM?!
No?
@@nmlogistics5098 But right after they show William Zabka, they also show a hawk attacking Zoe and the sound effect is exactly the same. I know the sound effect should be very similar since both using hawk sound as a sound effect but it felt like it is exactly the same sound effect.

Blah Blah went to Harvard and met a guy called Harvey Specter.
I’m glad they did this, showing that everyone is doing well. But Blah Blah and NOT Victoria???
They wrapped up characters they hadn't already. Victoria was wrapped up earlier in the season when Ted calls her.

Didn't Sophie enter at the McLaren's still being the same one where she met Carl and Robin?
McLaren's is still around. Sophie goes there at the end of season 1 and Jesse and Sid mention it every now and again.
