It felt like they were supposed to get season 10 but halfway through s9 shooting they got the information that it need to end there. The whole season was about barney and robin's marriage and then they got divorced at the last hour of the show. I mean come on the last too episodes were to big of a time skip and it made it feel meaningless. The ending would make a total sense if it would happen after season 2 or 3 when robin and ted were a thing. But because barney and robin became the endgame it felt unresonable to divorce them.
It's not her dad though, his mother just said that bob is his father (was coincidentally aired in the TV that time) because she don't want being interrogated again by barney.
You know how much time he had to spend watching the show to know all the prices. He did all that just to meet his dad for a few seconds. Kind of heartbreaking.
Fun fact: the woman Neil Patrick Harris picks up on his way to the stage was my great grandmother, he did that for every single take. Frankly I'm jealous.

Mostly not even including him in future projections of growing old
They did put him in one flash forward but while they aged everyone up he stayed the same, probably as a joke but yeah he definitely should have gotten more
Divya Sasidharan It’s Karma. Even though Barney is one of the greatest character in the show and every shows whatsoever. He was an asshole and tricked/lied to many women. The fact that he ended up alone and has to spend the rest of his life protecting his daughter from jerks like him used to he is a perfect ending for him.

Barney truly did love his friends. The guy went above and beyond for them. He flew to CA to talk Lilly into coming home when her and Marshall were broken up. He even tried to keep Marshall from dating again (even though he pretended to help them). He got his by a bus trying to get to Ted when Ted was in the hospital. He was going to marry Robin to keep her here and then ended up taking it upon himself to help her find a job to stay in the states. Barney in my book was very underappreciated as a character.
His friends love him. You can't tolerate someone that long if you don't. If anything, them visibly showing their disgust of Barney's antics with the ladies but still always hanging out with him is like a testament of their unconditional love for the Barnacle.
*You could tell Barney truly loves Bob. At the very end he holds it in all together but you can tell he really wants to cry. Bob Parker is a great man and he truly loves animals.*
Barney banged his "best friend" Ted's ex, and kissed his mom, lol he regularly banged skanks at his friends homes when they were out of town and he was "housesitting", just to name a few easy examples. Just because he gave his friends some material goods, doesn't make him a great friend.

One thing it took them a while to catch on to us that Barney actually has a heart of gold. He gave every prize to Lily and Marshal as wedding gifts. Sure, he’s rich and can get all that for himself, easily, but let’s not forget that no one loves free stuff more than rich people. And he could have traded those gifts for favors, to scam on some girl, he could have used them to his advantage in some way. But he gave them to his friends. Because he loves them. Genuinely and fully.
Barney was the best part of this show far and far away, also the reverence he gives bob must have really been touching to him. A genuine thank you for all his work. Felt believable.

After that Price is Right change their formula and try not to show products over and over again.
