Senjumaru made it so that his inanimate clothes became the force that killed him, an object that he did not consider hostile.

As for Otetsu Nimaya’s sword, he has no special ability on display here. But he has crafted a sword that is ridiculously sharp. That’s why he held it in the water chamber as no scabbard can hold it. He mentions that it’s “smooth” because the polish of a sword is also important with sharpness. Because if a sword is polished it passes through the target with less resistance. So it’s not only about the thinness (edge geometry matters for cutting performance too.) Hope this clarified that! That’s another reason why rust is problematic on a sword and why you should take care of them.

No spoilers bro, ain't gon lie the flashback between Yuha Bach and Ichibei is the most important flashback to Bleach's story as a whole imo because that flashback it wasn't in the manga at all it was an addition Kubo did for the anime because now we can understand that the three worlds (the real world, soul society, and hueco mundo) was once one world and the soul king split the concept of life and death by separating the three worlds. Also now thanks to Kubo we got a glimpse of what is the goal of Yuha Bach because in the manga we didn't know his goal until the very end of bleach which is not a great way to show it. Also finding out that the soul king is Yuha's father which is also a great plot twist because they didn't show this until later in the story but it is an amazing way to realise that and relate it to Yuha's goal. I really recommend you to watch the flashback many times to understand because that five minutes was the deal breaker to Bleach's world building and as a manga reader I was so shocked bro when I watched it for the first time. So far, from his first fight with Yamamoto to the current day, he has been unable to use his most powerful technique due to this seal (imagine Madera without his Sharingan). 2) Think of the Imperial Guard as the Quincy equivalent to the Shinigami captains, with the Sternritters as the lieutenants. 3) Nimaya's sword doesn't have an instant-kill like Soi Fon. He's just the best swordsman in the series (he's had about a million years to practice so he is FAR older than any shinigami but Ichibei) and his sword is effectively a mono-molecular blade. It can cut through anything it touches, and even Nimaya has been unable to develop a sheath that can avoid being cut by his blade.
You are correct the meeting in the beginning is before the Licht Reich invaded Soul Society 1000 years ago. The bit you were confused about was Osho borrowing the Soul King's arm to show Yhwach the Soul King's history. This is also where the important part that Osho mentions that he disabled Yhwach's ability until his death. Sadly Osho that allowed Yhwach to yoink the arm. Which is what Osho was implying, when he said "You think I'd let you have the Soul Kings arm for free?". Think of it similar to equivalent exchange from Full Metal Alchemist. Sternritter W's ability isn't related to air it's wind like you wind a clock. Basically like a force field that goes around their body, hence the name.

The Sternritter VS Squad Zero fight is really insane in the anime. Kubo was kind of struggling with not being able to fit all he wanted into the manga at this time, and the other members of Squad Zero besides Ichibe and Oetsu (Monk and Afro Samurai) were almost skipped over, which is a real letdown after waiting years to see Squad Zero. Like Ichibe is cool as hell in the manga, but Squad Zero as a whole got a glow up that was really appreciated by the fans.

1) Yhwach is the Soul King's son and has an ultimate technique in his eyes that was sealed away by Ichibei using the power of the Soul King's arm. So far, from his first fight with Yamamoto to the current day, he has been unable to use his most powerful technique due to this seal (imagine Madera without his Sharingan).
2) Think of the Imperial Guard as the Quincy equivalent to the Shinigami captains, with the Sternritters as the lieutenants.
3) Nimaya's sword doesn't have an instant-kill like Soi Fon. He's just the best swordsman in the series (he's had about a million years to practice so he is FAR older than any shinigami but Ichibei) and his sword is effectively a mono-molecular blade. It can cut through anything it touches, and even Nimaya has been unable to develop a sheath that can avoid being cut by his blade.
The wind is like two magnet with negative and negative pull will push each other to the left or the right but never connect.

You are correct the meeting in the beginning is before the Licht Reich invaded Soul Society 1000 years ago. The bit you were confused about was Osho borrowing the Soul King's arm to show Yhwach the Soul King's history. This is also where the important part that Osho mentions that he disabled Yhwach's ability until his death. Sadly Osho that allowed Yhwach to yoink the arm. Which is what Osho was implying, when he said "You think I'd let you have the Soul Kings arm for free?". Think of it similar to equivalent exchange from Full Metal Alchemist.
Sternritter W's ability isn't related to air it's wind like you wind a clock. Basically like a force field that goes around their body, hence the name.

The Sternritter VS Squad Zero fight is really insane in the anime.
Kubo was kind of struggling with not being able to fit all he wanted into the manga at this time, and the other members of Squad Zero besides Ichibe and Oetsu (Monk and Afro Samurai) were almost skipped over, which is a real letdown after waiting years to see Squad Zero.
Like Ichibe is cool as hell in the manga, but Squad Zero as a whole got a glow up that was really appreciated by the fans.

If you recall what Urahara said about the Soul King WAYY BACK then, and this is not spoiler since it has been said a long time ago sometime before or around the big Aizen fight (late Arrancar arc)
That the Soul King's body parts were ripped apart and used as "anchors" to separate the worlds that end up being what it is as of this arc: the Human World, Hueco Mundo, Soul Society, etc. This is also more apparent since you've already forgotten that in this arc you just missed the part where Ichibei was briefly talking to the Soul King and only the Soul King's trunk was present. I wonder why is that, huh?
