I’ve worn Aventus several times in different places and I never ever received compliments from women wearing Aventus. Two of my buddies asked what are you wearing and they liked it but evidently not the ladies. I’m the fragrance guy on my job and community and people look forward to seeing what I’m wearing that day. I love creed myself, but I got to say honestly Club de Nuit Intense Man has gotten “me” more compliments than Aventus ever has.

Spot on. From an average guy, with amateur expectations, this is great. The "harshness", to me, isnt a bad smell though... it just let's you know how potent it really is! I am on my second bottle and still loving it.
Been wearing this for years. One of my first bottles I ever owned. Ill say this, my bottle, which is from 2015 or 2016, is one of my most complimented fragrances out of my 40 bottles. It projects, it lasts for hours, and smells amazing. Not sure about reformulations but with the price point you cant really argue.

You hit the nail on the head. When I use this fragrance, I cannot smell it on myself but everyone around me love it (tons of compliments). Maybe I can't smell to due olfactory fatigue because its powerful.

I just got this yesterday and I love it. The dry down is the best part. Longevity is great....I could still smell it many hours later. It really does smell VERY close to Aventus. It's an amazing scent. I even ordered a back up bottle.. Highly recommended!

Great video!! I own both. I purchased club de nuit for the gym. And save my Aventus for going out. But I can honestly say, I’ve had more complements on the armaf it’s insane.

Just tested this one and have found this too, has a very harsh and synthetic opening compared to Aventus. After half an hour to me it smells exactly like Aventus.
By the way on the other arm I have PV Emporer Extrait and MB Explorer. I would say I prefer the PV for the pineapple opening but the Armaf nails it as the best clone for me AFTER the drydown.
I have the black cap version and it's perfect. Long lasting, lots of compliments, I really like it !

Absolutely love my CDNIM and smelling it alongside an Aventus bottle i cannot tell the difference, they are identical to my nose and for a tenth of the price it’s a no brainier! CDNIM will always be in my collection! I personally love the opening of this fragrance!

I have gotten PLENTY of compliments wearing this. From young to old. Yeah the atomizer are hit and miss. It performs well on me in the summer and I wore this outside working in 85-90+ weather.

Very well said. I love this fragrance for what it is, and it truly is a compliment beast. If anything, when asking people to do blind smell tests, they end up preferring CDNIM after being revealed as they find the price of Aventus to be "ridiculous". I've put both side by side and personally can't justify spending the money on a full bottle of Aventus when CDNIM has the same effect for a fraction of the price.

That’s true.... it projects great and the dry down is a complement getter. For the price you can’t beat if you like getting compliments. Pineapple 🍍 vintage is great too but a lot more expensive.

I bought Al Haramain L'Aventure specifically because of you and your wife. A few years ago, you made a video where you compared a bunch of Aventus clones and your wife picked Al Haramain L'Aventure as her favourite, so I went ahead and ordered it. A couple of years later, considering the absurd ammount of compliments that I've received while wearing it (literally more than with all my other fragrances combined) I feel the need to thank both of you. It's not my favourite fragrance and I don't have the money to buy real Aventus, but for compliments alone, that thing almost feels like it does what "pheromone colognes" are supposed to do.
Your review was 100% spot-on. I have Creed and I'm on my second bottle of CDNIM. It's opening is low-grade, however it's longevity and dry-down is where CDIM shines.

This is my go to place for genuine honest fragrance reviews. Can't fault cdnim. Even my boss asked me what it was haha as much as I love fragrance I just can't justify the Aventus price tag don't think I ever will so this is just what I need to fill that gap. Awesome as usual ash!!

I tried it and I did get a compliment first time I wore it. I agree that the fragrance smells better when you're moving and people can smell you from a few feet away. I just never could get around to the horrible synthetic opening. I have also heard that Pineapple Vintage Intense is a perfect Creed Aventus replacement, if you don't want to go through your Aventus bottle quick. I completely agree with your review.
I got mine today and its a beast reminds me of the aventus batch I got back 2005, the smokiness and pineapple is on point, Armaf created a monster at a bargain price!
I've only tried this on test strips at the "discounter" mall stores. It's crazy, I've kept test strips for a few days and the scent is still there. That drydown is great. But... I bit the bullet on trying L'Aventure first (now, several bottles) and honestly don't see myself steering away from it, it's fantastic

I have the "Made in France" version with the black cap and its the fragrance that gets me the most compliments of any fragrance I own. I have about 45 frags now and for some reason every single time I wear this somebody says "what are you wearing". I own what I would call some real "popular" frags and maybe this just sits nicely on my skin, but its something very special in my opinion. and I dont think there is a better "value" fragrance ive seen to date.
I just got this, I agree with your points on the opening. It actually started to make me feel sick but on the dry down, it starts to grow on me. I still can’t smell directly from my skin because it does smell like a lemon scented toilet cleaner

Yes Explorer smells more natural than CDIM. Opening 10 times better as well.

Solid fragrance. I have received many compliments wearing this. It have a very mature not old vibe to it. Make sure you spray 30 minutes before going anywhere as the opening is very harsh and unrefined. Will I own a bottle after I run out? Probably not. Wouldn’t recommend to teens unless you want to smell like your 30
I really like the idea of layering 2 different fragrances to make your own sort of unique scent. I’ve paired CDNIM with Mercedes Benz intense (Fahrenheit dupe) to make a very interesting, unique fragrance and while I know a lot of the fragrance community probably frowns on this, I suspect secretly a lot of people are doing this also. If you get a chance you should do a video on “layering”. Also thanks for the tip on Demeter. I’m fairly green when it comes to the frag world and since I’ve opened Pandora’s box my head is spinning with all the options, so thank you for narrowing it down.
Such an accurate review in every respect. I think Armaf's Bucephalus XI is a better version of Aventus, much less synthetic and a more balanced vibe. The opening is great too, very pineappley and natural smelling, much more enjoyable than CDNI.

Unfortunately I never put my nose on A.C. but did blind CDNIM and man I'm really liking it, so much so I bought a back up bottle.

I personally have aventus and this clone. I like wearing the clone for work in the summer, means i don't have to use 180 pounds fragrances for work. Prefer to save it for special occasions. To me, it smells like a more synthetic version of aventus. Aventus smells more natural, mature etc. Still, i doubt many none fragrance enthusiasts can tell the difference. My 15 year old nephews is getting into fragrances and loves my aventus. I just got him club de nuit instead.

I have third bottle of this fragrance and i must say i got compliments from womans and mans. To be honest i didnt try Creed but this fragrance rocks he have everything from name to bottle smells great performance great price too everything. This is how Jeremy should starting. I didnt forgot you Gents very nice work again.
The reason Creed Aventus has batch inconsistencies is because it’s made with natural ingredients and not synthetic ingredients. If it was made with synthetic ingredients then all the batches would smell the exact same. But that’s not the case with Aventus or any Creed fragrance for that matter. Just like every pineapple isnt always sweet, some pineapples taste less sweet and some more sweet, and so not every pineapple note of a batch of Aventus will smell the same. Creed uses ingredients that are higher quality, everyone is unhappy and freaking out of the batch inconsistencies because they’re used to smelling the synthetic designer stuff. (Not saying all designer stuff is synthetic but Creed isn’t because like I mentioned, they use natural ingredients)
Lol I’m a creed fanboy but creed is still using some synthetics in there fragrances bro. And I’m pretty sure the pineapple top is a synthetic aroma chemical. Don’t get me wrong though Aventus and all creeds smell very natural.
@@danielzychniewicz2633 you are right. I also get a little bit of ambroxan in Creed Aventus. Which is a synthetic. Synthetics aren't a bad thing and it doesn't equate to "smelling harsh".
In fact, you might be smelling a lot of niche fragrances that use a ton of synthetic aromachemicals, that smell very smooth. They are just aromachemicals that replicate the smell of molecules found in nature, this can add to the longevity and projection of the fragrance itself.
Very misleading assertion of fact. I buy natural juices every year and never have they tasted different and the taste doesn’t even determine the smell. Sour or sweet pineapple all smell the same
Creed is definitely synthetic. Pineapple is synthetic and no perfume house in this day will sell you with ambergis for a mere 240 a bottle hence ambroxan. Black currant also synthetic. You can't get Creed notes with out synthetics close but never close enough.
I prefer this over my Aventus. This formulation reacts brilliantly on my skin with much more zest than Aventus. I'm not saying it is better for everyone but it is worth testing out. Forget the price point, this is quality juice.

Lemon & Pencil shavings. THAT SAID...there are indeed similarities, and it absolutely garners compliments. I have received so many compliments from this, it's crazy. More than my Aventus has.

I have this one and I get tons of compliments. There are differences with creed adventus, but the ‘likeness’ is very close. Also, the performance is the real deal. Save your $300 and buy this instead.

Whenever I wear this the compliments I get are insane. This is easily my most complimented fragrance. I have never smelled the real adventus and honestly with the price...whats the point? It last forever and projects off my skin amazingly. 10/10 fragrance when it comes to versatility, performance and price nothing else compares but I'm no expert, all I know is, I control a room when I wear this one.

I reccomend Armaf Niche Bucephalus XI if you like CDNIM, no harsh opening or any syntheticness and great niche quality
2019 batch seems quite decent. 6h longetivity and also if u doesnt smell perfume on yourself i can confirm im soldier and 2 sprays fills the whole room and other soldiers always ask what fragnance im wearing.
OK so here's my take. In the opening of CDNIM I get why some people say that it smells like lemon pledge but in its defense the same happened to me but only the 1st 2 or 3 times. Then after wearing it a couple of times I then started to appreciate it more, especially the opening. You start to actually pick up the different layers in the opening notes, although yes, I do have to recognize and admit that the pineapple note is not as pronounced in this clone as in other clones.
So let's talk about performance. Performance on this one Is Exceptional. I spray this on in the morning at 8 to go to work and when I come back in the afternoon around 5 it's still on my skin and I can still smell it. Just Yesterday I had worn it to work (and I work in a hospital so you can imagine the smells that get stuck on your skin after a long hard day), and I get back home at around 5pm. I take my shirt off and get comfortable (at shirt and shorts). One of my mom's friends comes over to visit at around 8 PM and she sits next to my mom near to where I was sitting and after a while she asks me, "Hey what is the perfume you're wearing, it's really nice, I wanna buy a bottle for my son. He'll love it!" I was shocked cuz I couldn't smell it (probably olfactory fatigue) and realized that I had gotten 12 hours of performance yesterday from a bottle of the 'reformulated' CDINM. Not bad right?!
Projection. Amazing. Enough said. I wear it in the morning and at 12 noon people are still smelling it on me from around a meter away. Although projection usually averages 2hrs or 3 hrs on average.
Overall rating: 8/10 as a standalone frag
Overall rating: 10/10 for a clone in the 30 dollar price range.
Disclaimer: I live in a small island in the Caribbean where it costs me almost 60% of the fragrance's price to get it to me and I would buy this over again any day. 👌
When does the "harsh opening" die down? I just got my bottle & I sprayed it on but it's been a half hour already & I feel like it's still hitting me in the nostrils lol (after just 1 spray at my neck to test it).

I had this a long time ago.. it smelled on the dry down VERY similar to older batches of aventus.. Aventus that had the pencil shaving, black currant type smell. It doesn't smell as similar to newer batches... For that I like alexandria's brasilia smoky/prive and pineapple royale by Montagne parfums.. Great review.. think you summed it up nicely... One thing I have learned about aventus... It isn't really a pineapple smell.. Pineapple is more syrupy and sweet, aventus is more of a citric pineapple with a lower syrupy flavor. almost like an unripened pineapple and citrus.. with the sweetness coming more from a vanilla overtone.. Well that's my opinion anyway. maybe im completely off

Great video. I actually haven't worn that fragrance for a while. To be honest I'm not a big Aventus fan. When I bought the bottle used on eBay I was like I don't know what the hype was. I did get compliments but my wife said it was a too strong talking about Aventus. When I put club de nuit she was like it smells the same but she liked it better than regular Aventus lol. I was like it's not the same but what does she know about fragrances hahahaha. Anyway great video.

Doesn't matter I've been buying this stuff since it came out and performance is still spot on. The best £30 scent ever .
"Reformulated" is the most over used word in the fragrance community.

One thing about "reformulated" sometimes batches smell slightly different, sometimes when a fragrance is OLD some of it's contents evaporate and change the smell, sometimes the consentration of ingredients of a full bottle is different from an empty bottle etc. etc. not always is a reformulation. This is like the Boogie Man of fragrances.
And the irony is that you don't come across any fragrance house claiming to have reformulated anything!

I’n my experience I went through 4 different bottles in 2019 as I gave one to my brother as a gift & one had a leaking problem. I went through two bottles myself . The 2019 batches I had I found the one from France although it had a harsher opening lasted way longer than the EAU ones were really week , a skin scent after half an hour really bad performance. Keeping in mind all the bottles I bought were made sometimes in 2019 . I can’t speak for the earlier years / batches ...
Bought this off FragranceNet a month ago. Black atomizer. It has a super sharp lemon opening that lasts for about 10 minutes. After that, you're left with a fruity frag that is 95% Aventus only it lasts longer, projects further and costs a fraction of the price of my 17Y02 batch.
STRONG recommendation to buy this one - really rarely get compliments on fragrances, but this thing is pure power, honstely.

Goodstuff Ashton. Im not a big clone guy myself, especially nowdays by any stretch, but do have CDNI(Not a fan) and L'AVENTURE(Better but lacks that something special and lasts 2 hours max) and even had Glen Perri Unpredictable(DREADFULL) at the end of the day , you get what you pay for (more or less)

Zara Vibrant Leather to me, is the closest smell to Aventus - ridiculously close. I have also CDNI & L'aventure.
When you actually stop wearing Aventus, you tend to discover other great scents that you actually like, not just wearing a scent to impress other people. That was the case with me.

@@markusgudino1756 I apply 4 usually. My bottle sprays pretty inconsistent amounts but that is about my average.
Agreed with everything you said there. I have the black sprayer batch and it is by far the best performing and most complimented fragrance I own. Not my personal favourite though..
I got the silver cap sprayer from 2017 and a black cap from 2019, the silver one is more citrusy and harsh and has that smoky vibe to it while the black cap has better opening and more pineapple and less lemon

I have been collecting premium colognes for over 20 years and I'm going to have to disagree about the dry down part. The dry down smells amazing and identical to Creed Aventus to me. Honestly, I can see why this cologne gets more comments than Creed it's because it has a powerful projection and the dry down smells amazing. I can't tell a difference between my black cap Club De Nuit and Aventus. The longevity is great to just took a shower and still smell it on me.

Have to disagree, I own 3 bottles of club de huit (found them very cheap online) and one of them is very very weak and yes it was the one with the black sprayer, also the two others smelled not exactly the same, so yes there are indeed batch variations. I ended up selling all 3 of them since L'Adventure by AL Haramain is a way beter clone of Aventus.
