I got 200ml bottle of CDNIM EDP for around £30 almost 4 years ago. Initially I didn’t like it because of that sharp, lemon scented cleaner like opening; however, after over 3 years of just sitting on the shelf, I have to say that the opening has changed a lot and all the harshness is gone. The performance and projection are still outstanding and I feel like this is one of my most complimented fragrances together with BDC EDP and Moustache EDP.
Was on a trip in Rome and went out to eat at a fancy Italian restaurant wearing Club de Nuit Intense. The waiter started complimenting me saying "Creed Aventus, it is the best". That's the whole confirmation that I needed
CDNIM edt is the most "complimented" fragrance that I own. It's one of my favorites. It's literally better than most of the designer stuff sold at retailers. I will never understand all the complaints about it.

I remember when I was first getting into fragrances, CdNIM was just becoming popular and I was like SWEET, I'll be able to see what Aventus smells like without going poor. Man, when I got that opening I was convinced the 500 trillion people who loved Aventus were absolutely insane. Ah, the naivete 😂

I’d say replace one of the neck sprays for the collar on the front of your shirt instead, then you can smell it whenever you want. If you’re wearing a dress style of shirt then on your sleeve. It is an addicting and calming scent, one of my favs.
I got sold on on Explorer when i smelled it on someone thinking it was aventus and they told me it was Mont Blanc. Classy smooth not overpowering or obnoxious and doesn't break the bank. 👍
I would not recommend perfumes in nature. Bees ,wasps,hornets would be attracted to it. I work with pests so unfortunately i am speaking from experience. @@livinglife3230
I don’t understand the Club De Nuit Intense Man EDT hype, every batch I have purchased has a horrible lemon toilet cleaner smell that doesn’t really fully go away. The LE Parfum version is better, but usually at least double the price. Montblanc Explorer is much better imo.
Its all about the smell in the air (not close to the skin) of the CDNIM dry down which has this cool smoky and fruity (Aventus) nuance that projects very well for hours. it is therefore much more detectable in the air than several other fragrances long after the initial spray. Therein lies the reason for the compliments it receives.
An overbearing opening of lemon isn’t even close to describing club de nuit. It’s EXTREMELY musky in the opening instead and just nasty. The dry down is definitely really nice though, so it may be worth it for some. However not everyone has the time to wait around for it to dry before heading out. I also noticed club de nuit lasts just a bit longer than explorer, although explorer overall smells the closest to aventus. The performance just isn’t very great. It’s mid sadly, but def smells like better quality/put together better like you mentioned.

I live where it's hot all year round, so the Explorer gets the most wear. Because Explorer is very easy to wear and versatile for all occasions. CDNIM EDT is indeed versatile too, but in some places it becomes cloying. CDNIM EDT is even more on your face compared to CDNIM EDP. If this comparison includes CDNIM EDP, it is clear to me that CDNIM EDP is the winner.
Am I crazy to say I've never really gotten that lemon cleaner smell from CDNIM? I get an immediate hit of Pineapple which I've heard people say it lacks. Had my bottle for 3-4 years now.
I wear Chanel de Blue parfum, spicebomb extreme, Dior Savage etc and rarely get complimented.But whenever I wear CDNIM l always get compliments....so l love this aftershave❤
Ehh, if you take the pure parfum vs explorer i would take the pure parfum. The edt is too abrasive. Explorer doesnt perform on my skin, for some reason
While I don't find women care for Aventis DNA nearly as much as men do, I much prefer Monte Blanc. MB is one of my daily favs. It's much brighter, interesting , fresher and citrusy. I find the CDNIM is flat and just settles into that.....well "old box" scent that's in the DNA quickly. I love the MB and rarely reach for the CDNIM. The wife says....."meh.....it's ok".

Honestly I have received more random compliments wearing Dylan Blue or even $20 Nautica Voyage. The most consistent compliment getting I've ever worn ( near 100%) was Santa Fe....a drug store cologne that's sadly no longer made.

Explorer is alright it just dries down and smells like dryer sheets on top of aventus, which I do not like. It's a fuzzy, blurry version of the DNA. Club De Nuit is very intense in the opening, but the quality and scent profile is just better. Performance is beastmode off of me as well. The roughness of the dark notes mixed with fruity notes is a combination that I am addicted to at this point.
To me, these two fragrances are very different from each other. And while CDNIM isn't 1:1 to the OG in the opening, its drydown is very close. But Explorer's drydown is actually closer to that of Dior Sauvage than to Aventus.
Yo you get it! Explorer reminds me so much of sauvage and I don’t see the Aventus connection at all. I still rock explorer and its gotten me compliments, I just get bored wearing it. I do layer it with BDC from time to time and when I get the ratios right it smells amazing
I understand the use of fragrance clones as a way to satisfy the desire to get a sense of the original perfume's direction, but not as a replacement for it. These clones last at most 5-10 minutes. Don’t be fooled by the exaggerated reviews.
Pricewise, I went with Zara's Vibrant Leather Oud. It's a very popular take on Aventus. Smells great and no complaints. Get it on sale and it is a bargain!

Yeah, I got the EDT when it was first released and man oh man I couldn't get past the opening. Limited Edition solved that issue for me. So much smoother!

Club de Nuit Intense Man has been my #1 complimented fragrance ever (130+ bottle collection) since it came out in 2015. The only other fragrance that is on par was my 2010 K batch Aventus...so that should tell you something about CdNiM. And I've gotten just as many compliments during the opening as the dry down...and I'm not a CdNiM opening fan.

i got both from the video and also cdnim limited editon... for me first place is limited edition then the normal edition and then montblanc...mantblanc doesnt last at all, cdnim are way stronger... there is a 8euro (germany) clone out here from La Rive - Black Creek (now Black Water) i think its like montblanc but is alot cheaper...it only lasts 3 hours but thats ok for 8euro i can spray 20 times every two hours LOL great for refreshing on hot summer days...
The reason people say CDNIM gets compliments is simply because everyone within 100 feet is forced to smell you. It makes it more likely that someone will occasionally like it and compliment even though 3 times as many people are probably offended by it but too nice to say anything.
Explorer suxxxxx in first 2 hours got strange smell like tar or hot asphalt. I don't like it. 1000x more preferes Club de Nuit Intense Man, I even buy ona bottle and I'm happy with that.
CDNIM is harsh and appalling from the opening till the end of the fragrance which is 12 hours later and maybe more. Explorer dosnt last that long but is smoother and smells more expensive. None of these two fragrances come close to the overpriced Aventus.
I use and like them both. Club de nuit Intense projects better with longer longevity. Bit harsh opening but fade right away. And way cheaper. Explorer is smoother, more mature than CDNIM. I used to use CDNIM alot for gym or outdoor activities but now I see myself using Explorer more.

Picked up explorer 200ml $60 CDNIM LIMITED EDITION 100ml I picked up for $48. As per ML explorer is winning but performance and longevity and projection CDNIM winning. Explorer projects well but not like CDNIM.
I have both as well. Odd you pick up the smokiness more in Explorer...I just get lime and a kind of earthy wood. I like Explorer, but I have worn it as much as CDNI, and CDNI is the head turner and compliment puller. No one has ever mentioned Explorer when I've worn it.
On "my" skin, explorer is weak af and has no "heft" whatsoever. I like it, but will never buy it because of that. I haven't got onto the cdim train yet

Montblanc Explorer is in his price range the best I use it in summertime daily during work but have to admit I spray during 8 hours work at least 2 times extra!
The best way i can describe explorers opening is less pineapple and pepper than aventus, and almost a bit of a passion fruit vibe to me. The best i can describe it is sort of the way NOS energy drinks smell.
Club de nuit limited edition smell completely different from the normal Version. The limited versions already blow's me away at the opening. But agter 2 hours the smell gets mind-blowing. But i have to say that the opening is not everyday equally amazing

The dry down of explorer is pretty wack for me. The citrus is pretty much non existent in the dry down. Cdnim is much better for me.

i got both from the video and also cdnim limited editon... for me first place is limited edition then the normal edition and then montblanc...mantblanc doesnt last at all, cdnim are way stronger... there is a 8euro (germany) clone out here from La Rive - Black Creek (now Black Water) i think its like montblanc but is alot cheaper...it only lasts 3 hours but thats ok for 8euro i can spray 20 times every two hours LOL great for refreshing on hot summer days...
The reason people say CDNIM gets compliments is simply because everyone within 100 feet is forced to smell you. It makes it more likely that someone will occasionally like it and compliment even though 3 times as many people are probably offended by it but too nice to say anything.
Explorer suxxxxx in first 2 hours got strange smell like tar or hot asphalt. I don't like it. 1000x more preferes Club de Nuit Intense Man, I even buy ona bottle and I'm happy with that.
CDNIM is harsh and appalling from the opening till the end of the fragrance which is 12 hours later and maybe more. Explorer dosnt last that long but is smoother and smells more expensive. None of these two fragrances come close to the overpriced Aventus.
I use and like them both. Club de nuit Intense projects better with longer longevity. Bit harsh opening but fade right away. And way cheaper. Explorer is smoother, more mature than CDNIM. I used to use CDNIM alot for gym or outdoor activities but now I see myself using Explorer more.
This man debate on adding points on how both bottles looks.. but didn't thought about adding more points when there's a 20$ difference plus a bit more juice.🤔. Lol hes biased for sure.

CDNIM LIMITED EDITION 100ml I picked up for $48.
As per ML explorer is winning but performance and longevity and projection CDNIM winning.
Explorer projects well but not like CDNIM.
i have both i personally think i like explorer more, it has more of the smokiness i like.
All the people here talking about cdni getting compliments obviously never had explorer to compare.
Explorer is nicer smelling and higher quality.. the only downfall is the performance
I have both as well. Odd you pick up the smokiness more in Explorer...I just get lime and a kind of earthy wood. I like Explorer, but I have worn it as much as CDNI, and CDNI is the head turner and compliment puller. No one has ever mentioned Explorer when I've worn it.

CDNIM smells horrible to me when I wear it bit perhaps nice to others from a distance. Explorer I don't notice but get loads of compliments
On "my" skin, explorer is weak af and has no "heft" whatsoever. I like it, but will never buy it because of that. I haven't got onto the cdim train yet
Having owned both of armaf cdim and aventus i can say aventus smells expensive and the other like a bunch of chemicals, i don't see myself buying any designer fragrances anymore just niche
Montblanc Explorer is in his price range the best I use it in summertime daily during work but have to admit I spray during 8 hours work at least 2 times extra!
Creed aventus scent is everywhere now and it's getting boring. We saw this 25 years ago when kenzo pour homme was popular.

The best way i can describe explorers opening is less pineapple and pepper than aventus, and almost a bit of a passion fruit vibe to me. The best i can describe it is sort of the way NOS energy drinks smell.
Club de nuit limited edition smell completely different from the normal Version. The limited versions already blow's me away at the opening. But agter 2 hours the smell gets mind-blowing. But i have to say that the opening is not everyday equally amazing

Both smell to strong both have synthetic smell on opening just get Aventus because you will be happy with the quality and it smell very natural won’t give u nose burn
I smelled cdim on someone at the gym the other day and couldn't stand it. I have l'aventure and explorer and prefer either of those than that other. I actually thought this dude must've been on tik tok shop lately lol.

CDNIM is much more obvious in what it's trying to copy. Explorer is a better blend maybe but it doesn't smell like Aventus
