Its actually very common for some people to have both. He is far from alone. Autism and schizophrenia are more interrelated than a first glance might reveal. I wish you and your son the best of luck.

Hi Gabriel! I’m autistic too, diagnosed when I was 12 (now I’m 29) and although I don’t have schizophrenia, I have experienced psychosis before. Mainly religious delusions (they became severe), but also delusional parasitosis where I thought bugs were crawling all over me and I freaked out. Might have been caused by my Vyvanse prescription, I don’t know (I don’t take that med anymore thankfully).
For 3 years, I was experiencing delusions on and off, and it all had to do with “my faith” as a Christian. I cannot be a Christian or go to church anymore as it triggers the delusions too much. It’s sad and I wish I could handle it, but I don’t think I can. It’s too dangerous for me.
Ever since I quit going to church and having Bible studies and stuff, my mental health has been great and I’m FINALLY in college now getting good grades!
All that to say, I really relate to you. Keep doing your best! I’m so glad I found this channel.

Thank you for sharing your experience and helping people, that's cool. I've had depression and anxiety all my life but schizophrenia and autism sounds like something very difficult to have to go through. Good work

What helped with me was having a stable life and not doing anything risky and especially Jesus.

I agree. Jesus is especially risky. Careful!

I don't think I have autism but I am very sensitive to loud noises, especially ambulance and police sirens. I also get very uncomfortable if events I had planned in advance don't go according to plan, I like routines and sticking to my routine. These I believe are some traits that people with autism have, but to a much more severe degree.

I watched your video talking about CBD and I found it very interesting. Do you think you could take CBD alone without antipsychotics? Greetings!
