"It's 1927 and Prohibition is the law of the land. For Rocky, Freckle and Ivy, the night shifts are never dull.
LACKADAISY, based on a comic series by Tracy J. Butler, was directed by Fable Siegel, produced by Iron Circus Animation, and made by a crew of more than 160 skilled artists across the world. I'm so happy that indie animation is getting more popular on RUclips, despite the fact that RUclips is one of the worst places for animators to earn money in. It shows that great animation will still thrive on RUclips due to passion, talent, and income from more reliable sources.

I got into Lackadaisy really late of this year and discovered it by seeing the Pilot first time trailer. Since then I've been hooked on it and quickly research about this series / project as well as binge-read the comic and have re-read it about maybe fourteen times now, I deeply wished I would've got into this series a lot sooner a few years back because it truly feels like something I would have find and stumble upon on the internet during six to ten-years ago. But better late then never, the pilot was great and everything I hoped it would be and I so can't wait to see were Lackadaisy goes from here on out further on down the line. (^_^)

I was a deviantArt kid and was introduced to Tracy Butler and vivziepop's work on that platform back in middle/high school. It's amazing to see the same creators develop their ideas through animated episodic series. Back then we always knew that those characters had lots of appeal and anything of this caliber was like a pipedream, it's honestly a bit surreal to see how things have turned out, and with so much support from fans! I think it bodes well for the future.

That's awesome. I can't imagine how cool (and surreal, as you say) it would be to have grown up with these comic characters who are now talking and moving around. The pilot was my first introduction to Lackadaisy, and now I want to read the comics to learn more of the lore and character dynamics.

I knew about the web comic but I never read much of it. This pilot blew my mind. :D

Thank you for sharing! I'm new to the online art world, but how incredible this production is is not lost on me. Thank you so much for your breakdown!
