My counsellor gave me a really good tip once when I was feeling overwhelmed with schoolwork. I actually described how I felt in terms of the 3F response and that because I felt so overwhelmed with my coursework, I just froze - couldn't get anything done but just stew in my own anxiety. From our session I realized I viewed my academics as one big 'monster' that felt impossible to take down, but once I started looking at it as an army of smaller monsters instead it started to feel more manageable. Like, Instead of looking at one deadline as a whole (e.g. 2000 word essay), I treat it as a bunch of smaller components (brainstorming phase > draft phase > polishing phase etc). Tbh I still freeze up at times, but thinking this way helps me shake myself out of it.
Just wanted to share cus your video reminded me of this ^.^ love to see your channel growing and getting sponsored!

I think it's not about timing it's just life all the things she talks about happen everyday it's all out there in the world like she says everytime it's just real-life application of psychology that's why people think she RUclipsrs have weirdly amazing timing it's so interesting to me how ana talks about Psychology in real life I respect her and her work and it's really inspiring

could you make a video on this topic of anxiety vs self esteem when it comes to dating? any time I go on a date and I don't like or particularly connect with, I have no trouble carrying conversation, being myself, and leading with intention, but the second I start to like someone, I get anxious, I freeze up, bend my rules, and I'm bad at conversation because suddenly I'm worried about being liked and the outcome of the date.

Fawn is also a response 4Fs:) (flight, fight, freeze or fawn). Power Differentiation dynamics are so hard to battle, especially when things go horribly wrong ie:- pastors, bosses or parents or leaders etc

Hey Ana, love your videos! I’m a dental student and I love that you relayed the connection between oral and systemic health. Only thing is that dentin is a part of the anatomical tooth structure under enamel (not pathological). The accumulation of bacteria from food debris is called plaque. Great video :)

I have a problem with freezing,. Recognising the worst case scenerio and accepting it realy helpes me with moving forword to the actual problem solving part. P.S. As a dental hygienist I realy apreciate you spoke up about the importance of oral hygene among people with mental health issues. It’s realy important. Good collaboration.

In my opinion, u have a very rational way of explaining usable psychology to layman .. thanks for that. I tend to detach myself from listening to self-care gurus cause their approach seems based on emotion or invasive in a way… I really needed access to someone who sounds clear and competent, for me to incorporate advices in to everyday life 😅

This has happened to me so many times. Specifically at hospital assembly. Superiors ask questions directly at you and I couldn’t find myself answering them even though I always studied before class. -.-“ Also, the anticipation of public shame made me feel nauseous everyday before every hospital assembly and whenever I did or said something wrong I would lock myself in the bathrooms to mentally beat myself up and cry from anger 😅

Ana, have you heard of a fourth response called "fawning"? I watch another youtuber who is a therapist and has talked about it. I am wondering if it has rly been added to the F3 response (therefore making it 4.) or are there many different responses and those 3 are just the most common?
